I've been here twice, staff was very friendly both incidents. Today I called with only 5 minutes left before they closed and told him I was 7 minutes away and really needed to have this package sent out asap, he was kind enough to say he'd wait for me to drop my package off if I was actually very close by. The perfect place to do your returns . I have too many returns. Coming here relieves my mind of one less thing to worry about. Without a printer a QR code and you are set a receipt and you are home free again . They also have a good notary service if you need it. They are open till 6:30 on weekdays Saturday it's 5pm. They sell moving boxes and supplies also. They are quick an to the point make it easy after you get in the door it runs very smoothly. read more

Impatiently waited on while the kiosk was out of order. UPS: Please fix your kiosk to avoid awkward, rude and needless impatient interactions with YOUR staff. I literally had to tell the employee to back off and chill while I figured out the returns. I work in customer service 40 hours a week - nothing is worse than rudeness in a business. My assumption is nothing will change. I'm going to other locations. Making a customer uncomfortable is this man's goal in life - perhaps not being in customer service would be a better fit. read more

This UPS is conveniently located on Geary in Mid to Outer Richmond area. It's easier to walk to and or take the bus to. Located near other businesses that we use or shop at. Shipping things is easy and returning Amazon packages is also easy. Service friendly. read more

I'm really glad I found out about the notary service UPS Store provides for $15 with help of Yelp. If you do need a notary, the hot tip is to call ahead of time to see if one is working. I've gone a couple times and once they said the notary arrives later in the day. Today, they said one wasn't working. They referred me to another place but it was one guy and he seemed overwhelmed (perhaps due the UPS Store referring all notary work there). read more

I have frequented this store over the last 10 years for everything from business shipping, to notary, to Amazon returns. The employees are always patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Over the last 3 years I've needed to send several lockboxes full of valuable electronics internationally to clients, complete with return labels and customs documents. It was absolutely critical that they arrived on time and were returned without issue, or my employer could lose thousands of dollars. The employees here always advised me on how and when to ship to ensure my package arrived, and even helped with customs forms while I learned the process. Recently, I needed to return an 80lb box with weights to Amazon, and after carrying the package down, discovered that Amazon had scheduled a pickup from my home. Justin (employee) held onto the box and spared me from having to carry it all the way back home. He coordinated with me over email and was able to have the package picked up at the store. I come here all the time to drop off my Amazon packages. It's one of the only places in the neighborhood that you can drop off your Amazon packages for free return. No matter what time of day I come here, I always wait in line. It's so painful. I don't know why it always takes at least 10 mins to drop off a stupid return. They are definitely understaffed, and need more help. One associate is not enough to serve the line. I brought a box for the return, but the associate made me take it home, and refused to let me recycle it there. He said that "our recycling box is too small." I didn't realize that UPS was against recycling. Luckily there is a trash can outside. I don't know why they did not want to reuse the box I provided them with (the same box it came in). How I would do things differently? -Have employees work 2 cash registers at the same time to do the quick returns. All it takes is a quick scan and receipt. This is what I used to do when I was in retail in my early 20s. Obviously not everyone is hardworking, and most people are lazy in life, so another option: -Have a separate associate taking the returns. -Let people recycle boxes there. Or use the box for something else. But, no one asked my opinion of things. So hence this 2 star review. read more

POOR Customer Service. I used to like going there, not any more. It's so different... There was a lack of prioritizing which is more important, scanning boxes or assisting customers. There's only one kiosk, which a customer was already using, while a line was forming. One of the agents could've been scanning and processing my returns. After that customer who was at the kiosk left, he took only one of my returns and said he had to process the boxes stacked behind me...really?...and he wasn't even apologetic. Apparently, the manager seemed to be having problems of her own assisting another customer. POOR customer service. I will never go back there again. I went to the Sloat Blvd UPS store. No lines, the agents were very polite and helpful. The agent took my returns, scanned them, and I was out of there in less than 3 minutes. read more

Typically I would call to ask if they have a notary service because I have dealt with other UPS places that advertise a notary, and they have no one that is a notary. When I called, Linda answered and asked me how long the wait was for the store. I went in she took care of my notary quickly. I am not sure of his name, but there is a young guy that has worked there for a while. He has dark curly hair, dark rimmed glasses and short dark beard. He is always so helpful and knowledgeable. Even if he's busy with something else or helping someone else, if you have an issue or question, he's always willing and able to help. We feel comfortable leaving our packages in his hands as he doesn't just throw your package around. Super awesome! read more

Go somewhere else. Slow. Very unprofessional. Bad service. I don't leave reviews and have worked in customer service so I don't take leaving a bad review lightly. I had a print job I needed done. I called an hour in advance. I confirmed the job could be done -it was printing 1 sheet & 1 photo. Not complicated. The person assured me it could be done and I asked to please pick it up. When I arrived there were no customers in the store, yet the job wasn't done and the person at desk wasn't aware of email. He went to check and to print and of course, store started to fill up with customers. Sure enough, there were issues printing. I ended up being late for my appointment. They still charged me. They were casual and not apologetic - it was bizarre. Why not print before and have the order ready when there are no customers there? As customers came in, they ignored me and I had to actually print the order again myself from phone. This is unprofessional and the demeanor was not kind or professional of the two people working. Please support other businesses. I had a similar bad experience here last year. I had hoped due to convenient location it would be different. read more

Been going here for years. Never had had an issue with them. They're taking some steps to protect customers and staff from covid: plexiglass, hand sanitizer, touchless payments, marks on the sidewalk. Minus one star for not having a 100% touchless setup -- you still need to press some buttons on a screen and add your signature to complete a transaction. But that's not the fault of the folks working there. Also, there's parking close by in a public lot, which is handy when dealing with larger packages. Don't stay there long, however, since there have been break-ins, unfortunately. read more

They charged me $3 to print out a piece of paper with the shipping info on it to return some shoes, but it turned out I had to ship with USPS or FedEx. Wonder how many people make the same mistake because their initials are so similar. The two workers, middle-aged east Asian woman and a 20s white man, refused to let my mistake go, claiming that the $3 is a service fee and includes paper and ink costs. Don't know if it's free to ship if you print out at home. If you do decide to print there, be patient because there seemed to be a significant delay between hitting print and the actual printing. I will avoid them whenever possible. FedEx on Stanyan and Geary only charged $2.50. read more

I had something accidentally sent to my house. (Well, more like the roommate accidentally sent it to my house.) I normally get shipments sent to my work as there's never anyone at home to receive a package. Because of this, I had to drop by UPS on Thursday, September 21st around 6pm. This location closes at 6:30pm, so luckily I was able to haul butt after work and get here before then. Choosing a location to pick up a package is kind of weird. They don't let you just pick any location. They only offer the closest 50 locations to the delivery address, so I just picked this one since it's kind of on the way home. (I would have rather picked it up at a location by work.) When I got here, both sales people were helping out customers and there was one other person in line. After I got in line, it built up fast as the two people being helped took forever. One of them had like 18 envelopes that he was stuffing into larger bubble wrap envelopes. I know I'm being selfish here, but shouldn't they be helping other customers while he was taking care of packaging his items?! Instead, the sales person was waiting for him one by one to hand over the bubble wrap envelopes. Seems inefficient if you ask me. Otherwise, once I was finally helped, my transaction was super fast. Just showed my ID and got my package. Nice and simple. Convenient if you live in the Outer Richmond, but I think they need to be a little more efficient. read more
