My local UPS store, with the kindest and most helpful employees. I always come here to ship my packages and do my Amazon returns, usually during rush hour. All the employees here are so amazing and patient, no matter how many packages I have. And now they have an extra Amazon return station which is a plus! Update on the rude customer service here: The older woman is friendly now. There's a young male employee who is helpful. One of the employees with tattoos can be polite. But this is a more typical experience: I was coming in a few times per week. One female employee always acts like she's never seen me before. There's a young male employee who responded with "Can I help you with something?" after I asked him how he was doing. He cut a box for me. When I got home, I had to go out to buy another box because he didn't pay attention and slashed the box too far. I only went to this location because it was convenient. The unfriendly to the point of being rude service sure wasn't bringing me back. read more

This has been my go-to UPS store for all of my mail/paper needs for almost 10 years: returns, mailboxes, shipments, printing, shredding. They even take USPS parcels and collaborate with USPS to ship out. For this reason I never go to usps anymore, I just ship everything from this store. There is another location closer to me but I come to this one because of the impeccable service I get every single time. Loretta is my absolute hero. The patience of that lady does not know limits. This is a small store located in the grocery outlet shopping center off Waring Road. Eric and Lauretta were extremely helpful, patient and kind. Amazing service! My coworkers and I came in on a Friday towards the end of the day with nearly 30 small boxes that all needed to be shipped to different locations. I can only imagine how awful it must have been for them when we walked in with such a large order at 5pm on a Friday! Instead of moaning & groaning (which we would have totally understood!!), KEVIN took us in and displayed the most patience in customer service ever. I don't need to come here too often but have come for personal reasons and have also come to send out amazon returns. I came on my own to send a package to a friend. I was shocked at the price compared to the post office however compared to the creep who works at the post office, I would pay that price. Every time I drop a package off for an amazon return it is super quick and easy, I just bring the package to the staff at the counter, they give me a receipt and I am on my way. The staff is always helpful and friendly. There is ample parking. read more

I give this location 3 stars for average... I walked in the door and immediately the customer service lady (Loretta) started giving me guff about my box being too big. She tried telling me I need to take it to Kearny Mesa even though it fit through the door. Luckily she quickly moved on to a different customer and the other associate Dylan was pleasant to work with. I would like to add that Larreta is a older lady and Dylan was very young. It's funny how people rag on young people but in this instance he Dylan was very professional and courteous where the older employee (Loretta) was not polite and seemed like she didn't care to be there. I WOULD GIVE DYLAN 5 STARS and Loretta 1 Star. Step up your game Loretta and be kind to customers they put food on your table. read more

For a customer service company, the staff seems like they hate their jobs and would rather be doing anything else. Especially the woman who appears to be the manager. I've never seen her in a good mood. I am sad that she hates her job so much. She has never been kind even when I try to be friendly and kind to her. I've been here twice now. The first time I came, the power was out, so I came back the next day. The younger lady was nice and helpful even though she couldn't use half of the equipment. That doesn't bother me at all. I came back because customer service is everything. I just came here again because I liked the customer service I previously had, and this is where I'm frustrated. There was no one in the store besides one other man who was being helped. I had something simple to get shipped and the other lady just had me write the address. I was done and ready to have everything shipped by the time she walked away. I sat at the register waiting for her to help me. No big deal. Someone else comes in, she decides to help them out for 10 minutes instead of helping me. 10 minutes later, a few more people come in. She decides to cash them out. She looks at me, and continues to not help me out even though I'm standing there patiently with my card out and ready to go. It took me standing there for 25 minutes waiting to be cashed out, but instead I was ignored, so I left and had to go to a different location which could actually help me out. Customer service is everything to me. This was frustrating. What's the kicker was one of the guys who was helped out, saw me waiting, and he walked out a little before me and made a comment when we were getting into our cars on how it was weird that this lady was clearly ignoring me. Won't be here again, which is unfortunate because it's close to my work. read more

Harsh reviews, but don't knock this place. Noone ever bothers to give a review of a public restroom, but yet, they are necessary and useful things. So too, the UPS store. SO here I go. I have come here many times to notarize documents and they always have a notary on hand who charges $10. Very convenient, easy and professional. No need to consult an attorney at $150+/hr. I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Parking out front is always easy, they are incredibly accommodating and I've never had to wait more than 5 min for service. When you read these neg reviews, you have to also realize that mistakes happen everywhere, and the angriest people are usually the most likely to write reviews. When I met the manager, LORETTA, she impressed me by how she instantly is ready to serve a customer's needs, always with a smile and knowledgeable about all of their services, of which there are many we have utilized and have always been extremely pleased; these include: shipping and packaging of course, their copy service, custom binding and collating of legal briefs and motions, notary, and occasionally stationery supplies. I am a regular at the Waring Road UPS Store. And I have to say they are the kindest and most professional source of shipping and mailing that I have ever experienced. I've rented a mailbox there, received notary services and shipped like crazy. The entire team is fantastic. And a special shout out to Denae! She treats you like you are the most important person in the room! And Denae even takes the time to get to know you and ask about you. She noticed my brother hadn't been in a while and asked about him consistently when finding out he had a heart attack. When does that happen these days from a shipping store. I came in to ship a package. The (older) woman told me that she did not feel confident enough to pack the medium-sized item I needed to ship and suggested I come back Monday. I work Mondays so it's incredibly inconvenient to have to return, and also inconvenient that they cannot provide the service that they exist to provide. Took my business to FedEx on Jackson instead. Their shipping was HALF as expensive as what UPS was quoting me. I won't be coming back here. read more
