Totally incompetent store owner. Only teenagers work here. Lost a package that they signed for and are ZERO help in getting their mistake resolved. Their store is a total mess. Do not do business here there are better UPS stores in San Clemente that are clean and professional and don't lose your packages. This was a signature required package. This UPS location is a bit small, and maybe even a little cramped. But, all the staff are very nice and you can tell they have a whole organizational system going on. It's like a production. There's a lot of boxes stacked, nearly everywhere, but it seems to be organized. They're typically quick, but just note that this is often a relatively busy location. read more

As I tried to disassemble the item, James saw that I was struggling and, despite the store being very busy, he insisted on helping. I've been here over 5 times now to print something out, and every single time the answer has been "we need a code from our boss to print anything, we cant get ahold of him" The employees are always extremely friendly and genuinely seem like wonderful, helpful people. No complaints with them But man, the boss sounds like a complete and utter buffoon. Let your employees print things on their own, ffs. I brought 5 items to return including one that needed a label printed. I emailed the label and proceeded to bring in my remaining packages. When I hadn't received any refunds, I took my receipt to begin tracking and noticed only 3 packages were listed. I reviewed the email and realized I sent a link to the label that wouldnt work. I corrected the issue and followed up...several times. The item is just missing and no attempt to reach out to me was made. I lost a $400 refund. read more

The UPS store manager is very helpful. I was sending a check for a very large amount to a law firm in Long Beach. It was sorted wrong at the UPS Depot and ended up in Texas. Instead of it taking one day, it ended up taking 9 days to get to Long Beach. Ups refused to give me a refund or any kind of compensation for this horrible mistake. I went back to the UPS store and the manager gave me a refund, even though he said that UPS would not reimburse him. I told him I didn't want him to pay, I wanted UPS to pay for their mistake.( Ups stores are franchises and do not work directly for UPS). He still insisted on giving me the refund. This is the first time I learned that UPS does not eat its own mistakes and will still make the customer pay when they screw up. Props to the UPS store and a big thumbs down to UPS a big conglomerate that has lost touch with the consumer obviously.​ read more

I bought a couple of toys, wrapped them, packed them in a box I had to send to Connecticut and was shocked to find out how much it was going to cost. I was lucky to get the owner and he ask what was in the box, opened it shrunk the box down and helped me ship it for less then 1/2 of what it would have cost the way I had wrapped it. The toys are on their way for a little less than they cost. Great shipping help and will always go there for any packing and shipping needs! read more

This is by far the best UPS store I have ever used. The owner is so kind and has saved me a million times when I have packed something horribly! Most recently I brought in a special 50 year anniversary package for my parents that I tried to pack well. He saw it, realized how special it was, re-packed it and my parents received it unbroken and said it was the best packing job they had ever seen. Thank you to all the guys that work there! read more

I have used this store for years for various services and generally get good service for package pick-up and Amazon returns, but I had a terrible experience today and won't use them again unless James can rectify the situation. I had merchandise from a store shipped to this location as my UPS Access Point, as I have done many times before. This is one of the 3 free delivery options offered by the retailer online (home, local store or UPS Access Point). The retailer shipped the order in multiple packages to this location and I went there to pick them up. When I got there the staff said I had to pay $10 per package to pick them up because this wasn't a UPS Access Point. Since I have been picking up packages there for years and never had this happen before, I told them it must be a mistake. They told me to talk to UPS Customer Support if I had issues with it. I called the retailer and they told me that it was designated as an Access Point. I then called UPS Customer Support and they confirmed that it was set up as an Access Point. They checked my tracking information and confirmed it should be free of charge and it must be a policy of the individual franchise to charge the fee. I then called the store back and asked to speak with the owner. I was told James was on vacation for 2 weeks. The "acting" manager, Logan, was rude and condescending. He said that it was the store policy and had always been that way, even though I had never heard that before and there was no signage. Logan said that "everybody knows it", so no signage is needed. He indicated that it must be my mistake or the retailer's mistake that it wasn't set up as an Access Point and that I absolutely wouldn't get my packages without paying $10 each. He said that they were a store and wouldn't hold packages for free because their space was valuable and that I would not get my packages until I paid the charges. Basically my packages are being held hostage. I will be following up with James upon his return and hope that he can resolve this matter. If that is truly their policy, there should be signage indicating that. The retailers also need to be informed so they can update their websites to reflect the charges. Since other Access Points don't charge for this service, I will take my business elsewhere. Such a shame! I hope James can make this right when he returns from vacation. read more

Just walked into this store to drop off pre-labeled packages and looked at a stack of boxes to determine if it was for ups or usps. Small Asian man proceeded to yell out that I shouldn't be looking at personal information or he would need to call the cops. Totally unnecessary. Made an appointment on line for a notary. Got there at scheduled time. Was told the notary won't be in for another hour. The clerk asked me if I called in to make the appointment. I said I made it on line. She actually said to me, "We don't have access to that." Unbelievable!! Won't be using that store again. read more

I've been coming to this store for years. As a small business owner it's great to have this store nearby for boxing, packing, shipping, notary service, and shipping quotes. The staff is what makes the store. They are always friendly, helpful, and efficient. We had a death in the family recently and had to sell a variety of high-end audio equipment online, some with exotic woods and fragile glass vacuum tubes. The owner James meticulously boxed, packed and shipped each item with extreme care, individually packing many parts, wearing gloves and choosing (or devising) strong packaging to support the often very heavy items. All arrived without incident and several buyers posted glowing reviews specifically about the amazing packaging. Busy with my own clients, I could not have done this job myself so I appreciate the attention to detail and commitment to doing a five-star worthy job. Any negative reviews on here make me scratch my head. Maybe they are posting about a different store. Personally I would not go anywhere else. read more

Even though they charged me twice the price of the regular post office and then sent my package over to the post office to do their bidding (without disclosing this to me in advance), I WILL say that I appreciated their follow-through the next day. UPS called me to confirm initial shipment details, and my package did arrive on time. So lesson learned, and I appreciate their efforts. read more

This UPS location has the WORST owner and the worst customer service. The owner was very rude and told me he packs boxes all day and doesn't have time to help me tape my box unless he charges me for ONE piece of tape! The store was dead and no one was in line and he couldn't as a courtesy just put one piece of tape on a box? How do you work at a packing and shipping company but tell a customer that you are tired of packing boxes all day and need to charge me for a piece of tape? After I told him I would never go back there again, he said "fine". It's a shame to have such a horrible business owner in a small town. Don't waste your time thinking you will get help from this greedy owner. Go to the UPS store in the ocean view plaza. They are always helpful! read more
