I normally don't review places, but I felt this was important. Every time I go in the staff is gossiping, complaining about ownership, and seems as if I'm interrupting their lives/convos instead of helping me. It feels is awkward and very unprofessional, so I've decided to go elsewhere even though I live so close. Today when I went in one of the male employees was sitting on the counter with earbuds in and watching something on his phone laughing, while me and a few others were waiting in line. It's not just today...the last time I went in a woman with blonde bob was complaining to a young male employee about the owners and wouldn't even stop while helping me. It was so inappropriate and unprofessional. I'm not sure who's hiring at this location, but it's been pretty bad for a long time. Maybe it's time to hire a manager? read more

My name is Neemonnie, and I'm the manager of the Verizon store located in the same parking lot as this UPS store. We frequently refer our customers here for package drop-offs, and up until now, it has generally been a smooth process. However, this morning we had an unfortunate and completely unprofessional encounter with the manager/owner of this location, who I believe is named Paul. Due to a miscommunication on our end, a customer arrived at the UPS store without the required QR code. Instead of handling the situation calmly or professionally, Paul came into our store with the customer, yelling and blaming me personally in a very aggressive manner. I have never experienced such hostility from any manager--let alone someone who claims to own the business. His tone, demeanor, and overall attitude were completely unacceptable and inappropriate, especially in a shared business environment where we aim to support each other. I later went to the UPS store to ask for the corporate contact information and spoke with Nina, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She mentioned Paul was having a bad day--but that is no excuse for aggressive behavior toward others, especially in a professional setting. I've already submitted a complaint to UPS corporate, but I wanted to publicly share this experience as a warning. Be cautious when dealing with Paul at this location--his behavior was rude, unprofessional, and downright hostile. read more

I was scammed (not this store's fault) and before I mailed $21,000 IN CASH to the scammer, I purchased an overnight, $160 envelope. I came to my senses and retrieved the envelope before it was sent out with the money and was told to talk to the manager to get my $160 back. She came in limited hours. When I finally spoke to her, she told me it was too late to get my money back despite my having spoken to the employees the day of the envelope retrieval. She alleged that the $160 was gone and that she makes no money on that $160. UPS never took possession of the envelope. That was lie number one: who works a business for free with overhead and employees? Her name is Nici (sp). She is probably the owner of the franchise as well. Rather than argue, we agreed on a 50% refund to me or $80.00. She told me to come back today and she would have a check for $80 waiting for me. I returned to the store for the 4th time overall and she handed me an envelope with the check inside. She asked me to write a positive Yelp review to make up for the $80 that per her, "came out of her pocket." When I opened the envelope, there was a check in there for $75.00, which was NOT our agreement. That was lie #2. Now it's obviously not the $5.00 shortage that bothered me, it was that this individual is a petty, patent liar and who couldn't even adhere to the terms of our verbal agreement. I am livid. I see the store got poor reviews. No wonder with a liar for a manager. If you can avoid using this store, do so at all costs. read more

I am attempting to see if I can leave zero stars on Yelp. If not, they do not deserve the one star I gave them because your mail is not safe here. I have a post office box at this location and today I arrived to find a pile of mail for different people, including letters from the Franchise Tax Board and a tax refund check. The prior time I picked up my mail there was a jury summons for jury duty for this person. This is the third or fourth time I have left a pile of mail this size for some other person who does not have my mailbox and asked the people at UPS to fix the issue and return the mail to these people who have no idea they are missing important mail. The owner apparently keeps telling her staff that the post office is putting a forwarding label to my box and, even though the names don't match up, they should simply put the mail in my box. The problem is there are 3 or 4 third parties associated with my box now and some do t have forwarding labels. UPS takes no ownership to fix the issue and the owner has seemingly no concern for important mail coming erroneously to my box and doing nothing about it (she could call the post office and ensure this mail is safe and returned to them). Gregory and Erin Smith, if you are out there, you are missing important mail at this UPS location. I am told you don't have a key to my box, but you have missed at least 100 pieces of mail, some very important with legal implications, in the last couple of months, and UPS is doing nothing about it. read more

Tried to rip us off for the UPS ground shipping of a box. Paid $115 for the same wgt and size box at another UPS store a few days ago. Went to this store with same size box and similar wgt and they told me it would be almost $250 to ship to same place. I then drove the package up to the UPS Store in San Clemente (on Pico) & shipped it for $117! BEWARE they rip customers off!!! read more

This store is an absolute ripoff. I wanted to mail a few small items to South Carolina for a family that had lost their sister. This store wanted $88 to mail an envelope that weighed 2.5 pounds. I requested the absolute cheapest shipping even if it took a few weeks and they said $75 was my best option, and they couldn't guarantee it. I ended up leaving and going to the US post office in SJC. The exact same package was $19 to ship, guaranteed in 3 days. I love UPS, but I will not use it simply because this store is so bad. Please consider boycotting this particular store for their dishonesty and price gouging. read more

I went in earlier to get a passport photo taken. They seemed to be using a camera from the 2000s when they took the photo. The result was a blurry and dim picture. At first, I didn't think much of it because I thought that passport photos were supposed to be low quality. However, I later realized that other businesses offer better quality pictures at a lower price. I decided to go back and request a refund. Most businesses I'm used to dealing with would accept refunds due to dissatisfaction with their products, but this lady was adamant about not giving a reimbursement. I would advise against going there for passport photos.Instead, I recommend going to the nearby FedEx where you can get better quality photos at a cheaper price. read more

Customer service was nothing crazy to complain about for me , however the energy in the whole store is really negative- you can feel it when you walk in. They also ignore you until theyre ready to help you. I went when there was no line which was nice. My 1 star complaint is for the 2$ charge for a strip of tape. The manager told me charge for strip or buy my own which was obviously more than 2$. Then they only took cash. Wonderful. Ive gone to other ups store locations multiple times and have never been charged for tape. read more

i requested my 16 lb package be sent the cheapest method, to San Francisco, indicating it did not need to be guaranteed to arrive prior to Christmas. i was charged $102 (including box & packing) shipping was $80+. I was flabbergasted, when I arrived home my husband (a 30 year UPS employee, retired) said "no way" & looked up the price chart. UPS ground should of been $28 plus pacKing materials. I was charged for 3 day select. Not what I requested or wanted. I went back, she attempted to segue with me that ups is not guaranteeing ground packages will arrive before Xmas! Ugh. She did not listen to me or give me what I requested. Now I blew a gasket. She reluctantly refunded part of the charges, but I feel I was still overcharged at $60+. This is the worst customer service I have experienced at a UPS store. The old bleached haired Persian woman employee will tell you what she thinks is right when it is NOT. I was doing my passport renewal to which I researched the whole process and I had a $190 check. She continued to try to tell me I was sending too much money, like she works for the US government HAHAHA. It is $130 and an extra fee of $60 for expedited, a total of $190. She tried to tell me that what is stated on the US GOVERNMENT website is incorrect. It was honestly embarrassing for her. I took my items and will be sending them out from another Ups. I've had a mailbox at this UPS Store since 2017. It's been a revolving door of employees that coincides with the level of service. Up until recently there have been two excellent employees. With the recent new employee they've lost packages, my voter guide and to top it off my 2024 General Election Ballot. I went into the UPS store with the OC Registars Office on my speaker phone explaining to the employees that my ballot was delivered there on 10/7. No one seemed to understand or care. I purchased two boxes at 10:30 am. When I got home I determined that they did not fit. I took them back at 10:45 to get a refund only to find out that even though there were 2 people working I would need to see the owner who would be in after 1:00. Went back at 1 and was told 2. Went back at 2 and was told 2:30. I asked if they could call her and get authorization but she told them I would have to wait. It has been 1/2 day and it is 2:30. They close at 3:00. I needed a label printed for a return, while I'm waiting for that to be printed the ups driver walks in for pickups and she starts telling him off too how he was late last week yada yada, my label gets printed and she's going on and on to the kid about how I need to pay like lady I'm still here I'm not going to walk out on u for the .58 cents... turns out she slaps on a "15 min computer use fee $3" I also needed a shipping label, had me waiting because notary customers came in.. thought it was negative energy and decided to pull up their Yelp out of curiosity while waiting saw the multiple ppl warning about the overcharges and decided to GTFO before she overcharged me for a shipping label as well. read more

This UPS is TERRIBLE! My restaurant is located next to them and since they advertise their printing business I decided to give it a try. NEVER AGAIN!! Do NOT print with them! Our menus came out COMPLETELY different from the pictures we sent them. We emailed them on Oct 18th at 2pm with all the info. At 6:25pm we get an email saying that they were not able to open the document sent (they close at 6:30pm). As soon as we got the email we ran next door to give them a flash-drive, but they were already closed. Next day (Oct 19th) we go there at 11am to give them the flash-drive and pay. Until then it was fine. Our grand opening was at 5pm on the 20th so we thought they would be able to deliver 25 menus (about 150 pages double sided). At the end of the day (the 19th) we got a text saying they were done and we could go pick it up, but when my dad got there they were only done printing and still had to laminate everything. Since they still had from 8am to 4pmish the next day we weren't worried. The next day when my dad went to check on it though they were JUST getting started on laminating and it was already 2pm. I ended up going back at 4pm and they only had about 10 pages done and I told them as nicely as possible that I needed it by 5pm and Indian lady (which I guess is the owner) was saying she was doing as fast as she could. Okay I understand that it takes a while BUT she knew we needed them by 5pm since the 18th and she knew how many pages we needed. My families restaurant is a small business so we were working hard for the opening and taking care of other things so we didn't have time to complain to them that day since I literally got the menus done at 6:30pm. I went back two weeks later and tried to ask for a partial refund since many pages have some kind of defect and she told me she couldn't refund me anything bc it was "her hard work" and asked why I didn't say anything while she was finishing everything. I explained that I was busy with other stuff since I was the manager and she told me "exactly, you are just the manager. I have to speak to the owner". Excuse me!? I will attach some pictures of the menus and how they should have looked. I understand that they are not a professional printing place BUT if you are going to tell me that you do all types of printing I expect it to at least look half decent. And when i asked if she thought they looked good she said yes, but anyone can see it doesn't. She could've at least told us that the images were gonna be dark, or called us over to look at it before she finished it all. TERRIBLE experience and TERRIBLE service. There always seems to be issues with their computers or scanners; printed QRs fail, and the lady grabs the phone out of your hand to adjust image. 3. The lady of East Asian dissent gets mean, and is rude/nasty to the other employees, especially if they're a trainee. .. I'm going to Ladera from now on. clean, orderly and smells good. read more

She refused my package (Amazon Return) because she didn't want to provide a small single piece of tape on the box To seal it. I frequent this location and others and have NEVER heard of such thing. I've been coming to this UPS store for the last year. And while I like the convenience of it, the vibe while inside is definitely off. The workers are super friendly but the lady owner hates people especially her employees! Every time I have been in the store, she is talking down and embarrassing them in front of people. Today she yelled and rolled her eyes at the young girl because two new customers came in but she was still helping me. Maybe that's the way she talks to her family but in public she needs to be more professional. It's a business and she's rude! If you need young workers recruit these young people. The negative reviews on here are such a joke... I ship large packages here daily. They take them, they ship them, and they always arrive with no problems. The staff does their job well and the owner is always working hard. She's in there every single day making sure everything is done correctly. If you want to send mail or packages reliably, go here. If you're looking for pampering and maybe some cucumber water, go to a spa or something... I don't think they will ship your packages though. read more

Set an appointment for Notary online at 10 am for a 1pm time slot (earliest availble). Arrived at UPS Store ontime and was told by employees that Notary was not available until after 3pm. Employees added that online appointment system for Notary does not work with Notary. So it's probably best to call before showing up. You might get a correct answer but I doubt it. read more

Hi all, this is the first time I've posted in awhile but I thought it was worth it. I went to the local UPS store on Del Obispo yesterday, 12/17 to send my daughter in Oregon a package and was told in order to get there by Christmas it would be $130. I was appalled considering it had a week to get there. The woman then told me the next cheapest option was $80 which was still appalling. When I balked and asked about regular shipping, she hesitated and then said $28 but couldn't guarantee it would get there and wouldn't tell me when it would arrive. I pressed her for an answer and she then lied and told me probably Thursday or Friday of next week. I chose that option and left feeling disgusted. Feeling like she was scamming me I went to the UPS store in Laguna Niguel to send another package to my son in Texas. The woman working there immediately told me $18 and it would get there....This Friday.. the 20th! I just checked the tracking # for my daughters package and it says arrival is on Monday next week! This is hands down the worst UPS store in our area. DO NOT go here. I usually go to the San Clemente store by Trader Joes, but stopped at this store because it was closest to work. My receipt had an inaccurate tracking number, that's right how does that even happen? I had to come back a week later when my package wasn't delivered and the manager acted annoyed when it was their mistake. She was rude, made little eye contact and didn't apologize for the significant mistake. read more

I'd give it zero if that was an option. And my rating is100% due to the owner. The employees try their best, and are generally quite good, but she is awful. When an employee admitted to her and me that he'd made a mistake and was just asking her to authorize the refund I was owed, she turned that into a multiple day ordeal with me having to drive to the store multiple times. The employee was amazing and immediately owned up to the mistake but she still tried to refuse approving the refund.
