Needed a certain size box to ship a gift and they have a great selection. I had my minimum dimensions and the very helpful chap behind the counter pulled out their list of boxes and we went through them to find the closest match. The widths were good, but the height was much more than I needed. Since this was the closest, the guy suggested I trim it down at home. It worked perfectly and I was able to pack and ship my gift. The kid working today has an awful attitude. I walked over a quarter mile because I saw their sign, Stupid me I assumed a shipping place would make copies. I told the kid I would gladly pay for one copy and he said no we don't make copies even though there were 2 copy machines right behind him. Is what a complete jerk. I come here often to drop off and ask for assistance packaging boxes I need sent for things like ebay/reddit transactions. They don't charge much for that little service and with a prepaid label they also take it and send it off. It's sorta like the savings I get not buying the label at the post office goes to making the packaging itself a lot more professional. They have always been nice and have sent multiple fragile/expensive things for me with zero incidents, including a sheet of glass (a thick one, granted). If I need a job done I do not trust myself to do very well I just go here. One star reviews seem to be "i had one unpleasant experience and misunderstood things" or "i asked them to do something they don't do so 1 star". Cool joint read more

I thought this was a good place for shipping because they could compare costs between UPS, FedEx, and USPS. I recently took a couple boxes there to ship. After gasping at the prices quoted as the "best" I was told that yes, prices had gone up because of the cost of gas, yada yada yada. So I coughed up $50 to send one box, planning to just keep what was in the other. Eventually visited the local FedEx store, taking the other box along just to see what they would charge. LESS THAN HALF! Seriously, this place more than DOUBLED the shipping cost. I'm cool with making money, but they need to be more transparent about how they come up with the price, not just blame it on the price of gas. read more

Most rude service award goes to Bill. I used to rent a mailbox here in '17. Great service then. Not sure what's up with him, but I was bringing in a package with a prepaid UPS label and he practically threw me out telling me he made no money on that and asking me to not do it again unless I was a paying customer. Yikes! While I understand not taking a package you don't make money on, rather than ruining everyone's day, how about simply nicely saying we don't accept prepaid packages here. Hertz Rental is located in the Shipping Outlet in San Clemente. After my car was towed, I took advantage of the AAA service to rent me a car for a day. San Clemente Auto shop called Rick at the Hertz rental car service for me. Rick was so knowledgeable and helpful. There were no cars available that day, so I needed to be on the waitlist. While I sat at San Clemente Auto shop, Rick called me and said that a car had just arrived that I could have. AAA paid the first day and I ended up paying only $29 for the additional day and got a brand new six-cylinder Nissan Maxima. Needless to say, I was very happy to have gotten to my hotel in Hollywood in time for a great concert at the Greek Theater. Thank you Rick. Terrible service. I asked for over night shipping, because of how close is was being shipped they suggested I send it regular mail and said it would be there the same time. Two weeks later the package still hasn't arrived and they told me it must be lost and there is nothing they can do. Really wish I wouldn't have been given this horrible advice from them. read more

Don't rent a car or truck here! Flexible hours and no service on Sat afternoon-Monday am requires you to return the vehicle with a full tank and park it in the middle of the mall parking lot (close to entrance or in back will result in towing). Lack of security means you run a high risk of siphoned gas and vehicle vandalism. Other reviews indicate this is a frequent occurrence. I was charged $74 for a "flat tire" and didn't find out about it until Hertz emailed me the receipt. As you can see from the other postings the owner completely lacks empathy and responsibility. Hertz quotes the fine print - you take the fall. As a Hertz Gold member, I recommend Enterprise San Clemente or Hertz Dana Point (Marriott). Same rates but better hours and security. Not sure what value Hertz sees in this dealer relationship. read more

DO NOT rent a car from here - the van we picked up was covered in Dog hair and smelled like smoke! We had the van for 5 days - and were charged a $50 cleaning fee & we had daily insurance. When I called to inquire about the charge the owner was no help at all and pawned me off to the corporate hertz. its a scam. SAVE the HEADACHE don't rent from here! read more
