I went in there yesterday and there was ? (not English) music was very loud and the 2 employees were singing out loud to it. I felt very uncomfortable and wondered where I was. I had 5 packages to return to Amazon and of those, the female employee had issues with 2 of them. 1st, one Amazon package wasn't opened but I had the return approval code from Amazon. She kept saying something about it not being opened ( I couldn't understand her in between the singing and her accent) so, I opened the package and inserted the return form from my Amazon email - as the others I had done with no issues from her. She said NO, that is wrong and she couldn't take it.... I never did understand why. The 2nd one she refused, she said I had mistakenly put return to Staples - I admit that was my fault and ask her to please correct that for me and she said NO. I asked if I could pull it up on my emails and change it and she said NO, that I had to take it to Staples. I said I would not be back and that they need to do something with the music since they were in America and customers wouldn't understand that language and she and the male started yelling at me in front of other customers. I was going out the door and said I wouldn't be back and she yelled, DON'T COME BACK. This UPS store has the worst customer service. I have attempted to use this location twice. Both times, I believe it was the owner that assisted me. He was VERY RUDE both times. I will never go to this location again. I drive to the SR 312 location....they are the opposite of this location..., very friendly, very helpful. Love the owners. Very kind people and always willing to help and/or explain. I think a lot of the people who have left bad reviews for this store do not realize that this is a small business. It has the UPS name but it is locally owned and thus any thing they have to use (such as package tape or boxes to help you ship things) comes out of their pocket. If you don't want to pay a $1 to have them pack your box for you, make sure it's ready before you come in. It's that easy. read more

I had a package last Thursday that had to be deliverEd the following day. Very small poster and paid $80 to overnight to Michigan. It was received on Sunday. After 3 trips to try and get a refund the manager said he'd have the owner call me. Well he called alright and said "we don't do refunds". I'm totally confused, then what does guaranteed delivery mean? This wasn't my first bad experience in this store but it will be my last btw...the first time I went in to check on refund was told they didn't have time to check the status of the package. Reviews don't lie. I went to drop off a fully taped package as a return to Amazon with the bar code in my phone ready to scan and the clerk tried to charge me $1.00 for them to print the label. This is how it works. Amazon charges their customers $0.00 regardless of whether the UPS stores scans a barcode on your phone and it prints the label or you print off and attach the label itself. Amazon pays UPS stores to be their preferred shipping vendor (in other words the UPS store is already being paid to print the label that they're trying to charge you a dollar for). After mentioning this to the clerk, he responded with "it's not UPS's policy, it's the owners rule". So the owner of this store has the option to charge their customers money for a service (label) for which they're already being paid for by Amazon. The word "greed" came to mind. This is the ONLY UPS store in the St. Augustine and South Jacksonvillle area that does this. I went to the UPS store on Pone de Leon and they gladly accepted my return for $0.00 as they were more than happy to accept the return. Customer service and trust goes a long way in terms of earning lifetime business, nickel and diming your customers does not. read more

Went to get the price of sending a package today so that I could decide whether or not to ship it or wait until the person next visits. I was given 4 different prices. First around $12 then jumps up to somewhere near $19 then down to $16 and then if I want the envelope included "around $21." The first guy who helped me gave me one price - then another guy came over and changed the price given to me 3 times - no explanation. I decided not to ship. I told my mom about this and she said that this is also the place that over charged her for stamps when she called and was told to call the owner he never called her back and she's also had the issues with prices changing when the same guy comes up to "check." Won't be going back to a place that quotes a price and changes it with no explanation. read more

The guy was disappointed or something for not wanting to buy new labels through him. .I need two strips of tape for the returns and he charged me $3.00...wtf. I had a package rerouted to this location due to an expensive product being delivered, and I did not want it to be left on my doorstep. When I arrived, they looked at me weird when saying I was there for a pickup and asked if I had a mailbox with them( I do not). They then told me it would be $5 to get my package, I told them there was nothing about that on the UPS website, and they said they knew that, but because I used their store, it was going to cost me. Begrudgingly I paid the $5 to get MY package from them. This has never happened with any package through USPS or FedEx. I will never use this store again due to this extortion. read more

I had to return a package to Amazon. On the Amazon website I had the choice of printing the label myself or having the UPS store print it. I chose the latter. Much to my surprise I was charged a one dollar fee for UPS to print the label. This has never been charged to me before (at a different UPS store that I usually use.) After calling Amazon I found out that this is a UPS charge not an Amazon charge. How many $$ is UPS making off of the volume of people returning packages? If UPS is going to charge to print a label then UPS should be responsible for notifying Amazon of such charges so they may include it on their return section. I will not use your store again and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

I shipped a package 2 weeks ago apparently ups destroyed my package during transit and damaged and destroyed the contents I shipped in a box my package arrived in an envelope damaged and missing items .I register an investigation about 10 days later went to the store to inquire about a refund and returning my fee for shipping the female Representative LIED to me saying ups was responsible not them and I would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to be reimbursed from ups.she was wrong after contacting ups and they told me the store will issue the refund! when I asked about my refund she told me they could do nothing! I made a reference that maybe I need to go to small claims court and I quote this representative said thats why I got a law degree! wouldn't even look at my tracking number! this is horrible service and ups should be ashamed to have this no service after the sale location closed or restaffed with representatives that actually help people with problems related to shipping from this location. my advice use the postal service! read more
