I've never had a bad experience in this store. Once in a while I need weighing/packaging services, but most often I am just returning items (already pre-packed with a shipping label) and everyone is always nice and considerate either way. Even when there are lines there have been a few times that they've called me up to jump the line because all I need is a receipt, no services or packaging. I've never asked them to do that but that's really nice that they see someone with a pre-labeled package only needing a few seconds of their time (and I mean literally that's all it takes to flash the scanner and hand over a receipt) and they accommodate. It keeps large lines from forming and people from getting perturbed that UPS has pulled all the brown drop boxes from all over town. A+ read more

I use this UPS store for my Amazon returns several times a month. While the service is usually ok, today was OUTSTANDING! The difference? Georgie! She was so patient and helpful. I had messed up my location drop off. She took my phone and did her magic..all with a smile. I haven't seen her in there before. The turnover seems high. Rude employee who notarized my document. I made a mistake and put the wrong date, he pointed this out, I apologized, and he followed with "I blame the education system". As though there's a class I was supposed to take about getting affidavits notarized??? Plus didn't notaries have to take a course to learn the laws soooooo sorry I didn't choose to become a notary. Then he goes "you kids don't even know cursive" as I wrote in cursive and I'm 27 so guess that means I'm still a kid. Cool! read more

My girlfriend dropped a brand new Land Rover discovery bumper off at this location. I spoke to the owner several times. Told him to wrap it in the blanket and bubble wrap because it's a delicate item it's being sold on eBay I paid $1200 for this bumper. It was being shipped to Missouri. I got a label from eBay for UPS. I dropped it at the store the owner of the store, then decided to not wrapped in bubble wrap or a blanket and put it in some boxes which he charge me $60 for. The bumper then was broken in several pieces and cracked in shipment because it was not wrapped the way I requested. I filed a claim with UPS. They denied it and gave me nothing. The owner of the store only refunded for the boxes that we bought, which I never asked for in the first place. And he refused to compensate me for anything of the $1200 brand new bumper that I lost. While he seemed nice when I spoke to him, he would refuse to take responsibility for what he directly did. I would not go hear any owner of a reputable business would back up their own actions and compensate you in someway for damage he personally did in shipping an item. He refused to do so do not go here. They will break your items and then they will not compensate you for it and they don't care about you as a business client. Again.. owner was very nice through process trying to get ups to pay me on claim, he admits he didn't wrap per my request, but refuses to pay for damage directly created by his own actions.. I'm going to report this to the local news station .. as its a business that thinks that they can knowingly and admittedly damage your 1500 item your shipping through them ... and refuse to pay for it .. read more

I recently had a need to have four items shipped from Arizona to North Carolina, and brought these to THE UPS Store at 610 E. Bell Rd. in Phoenix. The items were unique pieces of art, very fragile, and very expensive. Mr. George Hakimeh, Owner, took a very personal interest in doing everything possible to ensure that the packaging would be appropriate for the situation, and when it was received, I was informed by the recipient that he was very impressed by the obvious care and expertise of the packer. I cannot give this store enough stars for how much they (George the manager in particular) helped me when I had a missing a very valuable package. I I was tracking for delivery of same package, and got a message that it was "damaged". In spite of about 20 tries, I could not get in touch with UPS directly over the phone to speak to a human to see if I could get delivery anyway. My only option online and via phone Bot seemed to be "FILE A CLAIM". George at 610 Bell Road UPS took the time to get my info and package details to pursue the case. He called me back same day with an update, and then next day called AGAIN to tell me my package was out for delivery! I had really thought all was lost, but because of super helpful and dedicated follow-up I received package and it turned out to be just fine, no damage to contents. Just bought a home nearby and came in to drop off an Amazon return. Made me go home to print a UPS label when I had the label on my phone. Offered to email it to the store and they wanted to charge me $6.25 which I find ridiculous. Took me 30 min to run home and print the label and drive back again when they could have easily solved the problem while i was initially there. I didn't leave with the feeling that I have a reliable and helpful resource in my new neighborhood. Tried to bring an Amazon return. I've returned to Amazon via kohls and Whole Foods before. This place refuses return since I don't have original box. Owner was present. When I asked why other Amazon return places don't require original box and project still in plastic wrapping, there was no reply. Don't waste your time with the mom and pop shops. This is why Amazon is closing places like this down and Whole Foods and kohls, big box stores are succeeding. I've attached photo from Amazon that literally says no box needed for return items. I have been in plenty of UPS Stores in Arizona, California and Texas. This 0273 location is a complete rip off. I went in and requested to get a copy of 1 form that I could not get through my jobs firewall. I really needed it in a short time frame. Walked in and a young man told me to send it over to their email address and he would print it out. When he mentioned the price of $5.44 for one sheet of paper and it was flimsy piece not even a good grade. I almost lost it! I told the young man that was a rip off and he told me those prices are the same everyone. I told him that is not the truth... I just took my piece of paper and left I did ask for a receipt. I just saw the receipt and decided to make this post because it shows that I was on their computer for an hour! That is very wrong I was in that establishment for maybe 6 minutes and did not use their computer for an hour. At least ring up the correct thing and stop over charging people for this cheap ass paper. I will never use this location again! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have NEVER been spoken to like I was today. My child was playing with their floor sign (my back was turned) and apparently he bent it the wrong way. He was then playing with the packaging envelopes after this (again back turned trying to ship a package) the owner notified me of what happened and as I was intervening on the situation myself his employee took it on herself to walk over and start yelling at my child to get out of the packing envelopes. I then told her that she could not speak to him like that and she then yelled at me and said "well then you need to control him yourself" -- and aggressively moved closer to me and continued shouting. My child WAS misbehaving and absolutely needed to be redirected however as I said I did not realize what was happening and when I did I intervened immediately. It is absolutely disgusting for someone to think that they can speak to someone's child in this manner let alone a mother running errands alone with her 5 year old (clearly neither of them understand how kids operate either...) needless to say I will take my business elsewhere. mothers and fathers who have normal kids who like to explore and don't listen the first time because they're 5 I suggest you go somewhere that won't shame you or your child as the owner here did not seem to care that his employee did this at all so it seems to be an accepted practice! read more

Did you know you can drop off Amazon returns at The UPS Store? And its so easy. I didn't even have to package the item. Just brought it in. She scanned the QR code from my Amazon return, printed a label for them and a receipt for me, and I was done. I think it took less than a minute. No questions. Legally you can't charge over $5 dollars for a notary . So there services are charging you $10 per stamp ! And $5 per witness. Rather go to a third party dmv whom charges $5 for the total service. Don't use them . Look around for cheaper notary. read more

was in the other day trying to fax my paperwork. The line was busy every time but they continued to try. Each staff member was helpful but Sierra is the one who really stuck out to me. She has some blue in her hair and wears cute makeup. She tried more than ten times to fax my paperwork. She was sympathetic and so kind to help me. I started having my UPS packages delivered here for convenience, and what a mistake. Every time I would go in, the older woman would insist that my package wasn't at her store until tomorrow. She would do this without checking my tracking number, as if she had psychic abilities. Meanwhile, UPS had notified me that the package was ready to pick up at her store. I would insist, then she would look around the messy store, and locate my package. A couple of weeks ago they lost one of my packages. UPS delivered it to them, and when I arrived they could not locate it. The store is a disorganized mess. An employee took my phone number and promised to call me back after searching for the package. Nearly a week went by and no one called me. Finally, I called and spoke with the older woman who I assume owns the store. She said the package was sent back to UPS? and insisted upon knowing what was in my package, which didn't seem to help her find the package or assist me. She said I needed to call UPS (I thought they were UPS, silly me) to have them track the package. Another fun fact: the older man at the store is abrupt and rude. Avoid this store and save yourself a lot of aggravation. read more

I first reviewed this UPS store a few years ago and my recent experience warrants an update. You need to know. I lease a business mailbox here and have been a happy customer for several years now. Last month, I received my annual renewal notice slip in my mailbox. I noticed that my rate had increased slightly, but I was ok with it because it was the first increase since I opened my account. Because it was after-hours, I took the billing slip home with the intention of paying when they were open. The next time I visited during store hours (without the billing slip - my mistake), I approached the counter and told Pat (the owner) that I needed to renew my account for another year. She pulled my account card out of a Rolodex (yes, Rolodex) then punched some buttons into her computer, took my credit card, and I signed for payment. When I got home, I discovered that I was charged more than 40% MORE than the original renewal invoice that was put in my box! So I went back to the store with the invoice and my receipt and presented them to Pat and told her there was a mistake. Immediately, one of the other employees who was listening chimed in and said, "Oh, that was my fault! I made a mistake!" They said that they accidentally invoiced me for a residential box renewal, but mine is a business box so the rate is higher. I understand that, but I find it insane that my business rate would increase by 40% from one year to the next. We went back and forth with some dialogue, but the gist is that they stood firm that my rate was SUPPOSED to go up by 40%. Pat kept saying, "This is not a mistake." I'm thinking, "The invoice says one price and you're telling me another - THIS IS A MISTAKE." She closed with a smile saying, "We're the cheapest and now your rate won't go up again for years!" This was supposed to make me feel better. I told her that, since my current contract didn't expire for a few days, I wanted to cancel the earlier transaction and explore other options. Long story short, after calling several other UPS Stores, I CAN CONFIRM THAT THIS UPS STORE AT 610 E BELL RD IN PHOENIX HAS GONE FROM BEING THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION FOR MAILBOXES TO BEING THE MOST EXPENSIVE. My letterhead, checks, business cards, websites, etc, all have this postal address, so it didn't make sense to change all of that in the few days I had to work with, so I renewed my contract. This year, I'll work through my supplies and transition to a new address. Final note: The rate for a medium mailbox at the store at 19th Ave and Union Hills is the exact same price as the small box on Bell Rd. That got me thinking that maybe there was a misunderstanding with Pat after all and that they inadvertently charged me at the medium box rate instead of a small. So I called her and asked if she knew what size box I had. She said, "Yes, small." When I started to explain the reason for my call, she said, "Can I call you back in 5 minutes while I take another call?" Not surprisingly, she never did call back. In retrospect, my mistake was in not bringing the original billing slip with me when I went to pay. Shame on me for trusting them. Based on the interaction I had when I challenged the increase, I'm confident that I was overcharged. High prices, poor service, lack of self-accountability - they hit the trifecta of poor business practices. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are many, many superior options. PS: As referenced in my earlier review, the Hallmark store with USPS mailing center that used to be in the same shopping center has moved. read more

Twice in the last month I have had to pick up a package at this store, and while the store clearly states on the door that employees are required to wear masks, and customers are asked to do the same, the same woman who helped me both times was not wearing her mask. To be more accurate, she had it dangling from one ear. So technically, she had a mask on, it just wasn't covering her nose and mouth. This is a basic thing to offer your customers and it is unacceptable to have front end staff blatantly disregarding this simple gesture of public health and community. I'd rather not go back to this store if this is the standard they use to keep their customers safe. read more

Came here to send out a padded envelope with a sweater in it. It was light as a feather. Dany put it on the scale and began measuring. This should've been a red flag since he obviously didn't see the dimensions already printed on the envelope. He then measured the height... It ended up being $13. It's my fault for not saying anything which is why I gave 2 stars. I have never felt more taken advantage of. I should've just gone to the post office. Never coming here again. read more

Though staff seems friendly, they are not knowledgeable about shipping valuable things, how insuring a package works and completely overpriced. I used their services to ship a sewing machine. They charge $25 to put it in a box and wrap it with bubble tape. I was charged $136 for postage and insurance (though not enough insurance to cover the machine if it broke while shipping because she didn't know how). I felt that I was paying way too much but was in a time crunch so I accepted and left (did not get an actual copy of any shipping forms because she said she had to keep all copies including the one that says "customer copy"). Once my package arrived my feeling of being overcharged was confirmed. Of the $136 I paid for postage and insurance, it only really cost $77 to send. Upon contacting the owner, I was told there was no error and the +75% markup was the retail price because they have no affiliation with UPS and thats how they earn money to stay in business. Had I taken my package to the US Postal Service up the street at Cave Creek I would have gotten better service and paid over $50 LESS for my shipment. I would give this store 1 STAR because of my experience and feeling that they are extremely overpriced and "shady". I gave it 2 STARS however because the item that I sent, did arrive in 1 piece and in the amount of time I was promised. Just feel bitter that I was so severely overcharged for their services. Won't do business here again. Would recommend using the USPS or the UPS store at Bell and 32nd St - haven't had any issue there before. read more

The staff at this store have been very helpful every time I've needed their services. The first time I went in, about a year ago, I needed to return my satellite equipment and they helped me pack it all up without hassle. Since then, we've gone in for passport photos and to get documents notarized. Every time we go in, we're greeted warmly and helped quickly and efficiently. The last time I went in was to get a unique birthday card from their selection. I love the new remodel, too. A beautiful store with wonderful staff. read more
