I dropped two packages for USPS pickup here at the UPS store because my USPS facility doesn't open until 11:00 a.m. and I would be late for work. Watching tracking @ USPS for two days without the packages showing up, I went to the UPS store for information only to find that pickup is done by a 3rd party and according to the Manager it might take up to a week for the package to be delivered and scanned by USPS. Don't leave USPS packages here if you want service! My error, I've learned a lesson. read more

I'm an elder senior who was struggling with an Amazon return. They were compassionate and helped me accomplish my return while still providing excellent service with the best attitudes toward all of their clients. I have had my Box at this location for Business for many years, I love the location and the Staff... Like many places Covid affected the consistency of the Staff, still they are very nice. The worrying thing is for the 3rd time my packages with Tracking have disappeared & I contacted the carrier / Shipper and the tracking shows it was delivered to this UPS store where I have my Box & now for the 3rd time they say at the UPS store it was never put into their system to be put in my Box. The result is they could do nothing & I am again out my purchase & left to chase the Shipper for an Insurance reimbursement, I am curious if anyone else have had this issue? read more

Be careful with pre paid label packages here. This is not the place to drop off a pre paid label package. The woman with screaming kids running around said they don't give you a receipt but I left it there anyway as I had other packages to mail. I use many other ups stores in town with no problem. Although I have a UPS account the UPS store does not carry the correct forms or airbills for account holders to actually ship anything. I was told to go outside and wait as a UPS truck would surely drive by and then I could ask the driver for the correct form. The employee walked me outside however there were no UPS trucks around. They told me to log on to their computer and I could download the form from the UPS website. Easy, right? After sliding my credit card to get access to the internet I was unable to find the form that I needed as I did not have my username and password to log on to the UPS website via my personal account. I paid a little over $6 to use their internet service for nothing else but confusion and slight frustration. Both employees must have noticed the confusion on my face when they told me that "the UPS store is not actually a UPS store". Silly me...... Instead I went to Montecito Executive Services in the upper village. They handle both fed ex and UPS and have all the forms one needs. read more

I've never used them for shipping so they might be very good at that. I went because I needed a notary. If you need a notary this is the last place you should go. The one I had (a man in a beard) was incompetent, rude and clueless. I walked out without him finishing the job. I went to a notary in the upper village (if you're from Montecito, you'll know where that is) and got my notary needs taken care of in a professional matter. Stay away from this place. read more

After searching for a place to receive forwarded mail, I chose this location due to their wonderful assistance with every aspect of a being a new customer. Immediately, I felt at home, In the midst of an adjustment to living in a new town, this was a grounding experience. I no longer had to worry about my important mail floating somewhere out there~lost in the world! What I am most impressed with is the attention to their customer's needs. Often, in the midst of assisting another person, I have seen them briefly greet someone as they enter, always with a polite and friendly "I'll be with you in a moment!" This is welcoming as well as reassuring. Over the years, I have witnessed numerous interactions with customers~some in a hurry, unhappy with cost of a package or delivery time, etc., each handled with genuine care and respect for the customer's needs. They lost my package as well. Then I had to push them to resolve the claim. Blake hung up on me and was rude, saying "that's fine" when asked why they didn't alert me to the package not being delivered when guaranteed. It was extremely important that the package arrive in LA by noon the next day and we paid $50 for that. He ignored me and said that they can't refund me until the package is delivered. But they have no idea where the package is. I called the general UPS number 3 times and was told a different story each time. With computerized tracking, it seems pretty easy to tell me where the package is or admit to losing it. Why they still haven't called me (promised 3 times as well) is a mystery. Never again. Don't come here if customer service means something to you. I brought an amazon return here and they printed me a label with tracking info and an estimated pickup date. All seemed good. Amazon has not received the package so I checked the tracking info. Tracking info indicates it has not moved. I call the store and they tell me that the tracking info and pickup date do not mean anything and when I ask why that wasn't communicated to me when I dropped it off they indicated it was Amazon, not them, they didn't do anything wrong. I called again, got someone else who told me it may take 2 months to get there (*Amazon has a limited time to receive return) and again, does not want to hear anything critical of how their store handled things or might have better served this customer. I asked if I can at least retrieve my package and take it somewhere that is interested in helping customers and they said no because it's been shipped. That is exactly what I am calling to find out! They did not provide any further info and hung up on me. Left me feeling sick inside. read more

Apparently the UPS stores are independently owned and operated so you have to deal with the store staff where you shipped the package if you have a problem. When I called about my package (after leaving a message for the manager a few days earlier which wasn't returned), John at the desk said "the manager won't be here until next week" "I'm the only one here and I can't sit on the phone doing this" and hung up. read more

Hopefully you're a regular and the employee knows your name, otherwise you will have to wait until he helps all of the regular customers as they walk in. I walked in at 8:15 am to drop off a package, and proceeded to wait nearly an hour while the employee greeted each new customer as they walked in and proceeding to help them rather than myself. I understand that he was the only person working, but the disregard for any customers he's not familiar with is uncalled for. Once he finally realized I was standing there for 45 minutes, and no more regulars walked in, he finally helped me. The actual interaction took 45 seconds once he actually helped me. I would recommend taking your shipping needs elsewhere, because the employee helping 5 customers (who walked in after me) before even asking what I needed help with is completely ludicrous. read more
