    I want to be clear right off the top. This review is for the COPY CENTER only. The supplies part…read moreof the store is good. Every time I have tried to use their copy service though, things have never gone smoothly. Only tried using them for a big job one time, and that was a low quality job and they seemed to have no interest in making it right. After that, I decided to only use them for a couple copies of something here and there now and then. Two days ago I needed to make a double sided copy with two forms of ID, so I figured that would be easy enough... wrong! The person working the counter (Christine) acted as if I was bothering her with that quick simple job. After she gave me the original with all documents on one sheet, I went to the self serve machines to make a few more copies. I unfortunately was unfamiliar with the operation of their new machines and needed to ask a couple quick questions. Well you'd think I had asked her to help me unload furniture from my truck. After she made a couple snide comments and a very unfriendly vibe, she actually argued with me about how simple the machine was to use.... that may be, IF you know the terminology the machine used, but I did not, not yet. I said Thank You twice during her help and again at check out. Not once did she respond even so much as a grunt, just dead silence and the MOST unfriendly personality I have come across at that store, yet. I'm just done with that shop and won't be back for anything, ever. There are other options in town, but that one just happened to be the closest to my house. I'm very happy to drive out of my way though, to receive decent customer service. We all have a bad day now then, but there is no reason it should be that consistently bad.

    A few months ago I went by the store a few times and saw a "be back at ..." sign on the door. This…read morehappened more than once, and at least once no one appeared at the time on the sign. After that, I got in the habit of calling ahead to make sure someone was there. On Thursday, May 11, 2023 my wife and I went there to get some documents notarized. The worker said that he did not notarize anything when he was alone in the store. I mentioned that another worker had notarized things there the day before, and he replied that he himself simply didn't do that (though he was a notary) because it could cause backups and lines at the store. There was no sign of any other customers at the time. (On my previous visit, two or three more people had shown up at the store a little after me, and I had been asked to wait until they were served before my notarization, which was fine.) He suggested that we go to Montecito Executive Services, which, for a variety of reasons that were not the fault of Montecito Executive Services, did not work out. I contacted a total of three people at two divisions of UPS the next day, thinking that either UPS or the franchise owner might be interested in knowing that services at the store were being done sporadically and at the worker's whim. The first person I talked to apologized profusely and said that I would receive a call from the franchise owner (not that I had asked for one). I later spoke to another UPS representative who said that the franchise owner had left a voice message for me, but I received no voice messages. The last UPS representative specifically gave me a choice as to whether I wanted to hear from the franchise owner and the district representative, and I thought "why not?" and said "yes." I have not heard from either. Apparently business is good enough that constructive criticism is not wanted. I will not be going back to the store.

    NEVER in my life have I dealt with such an unprofessional, mean, argumentative person as Shawn. I…read moreplaced a rush order Wednesday evening, around 5:30pm. I asked him to tell me based on his workload when he could realistically get them done and we'd happily plan accordingly. He didn't advise his timeframe, just that he'd get them done and let me know. At 2:30pm the next day, he asked when I could come pick up my order - I promptly answered that I could come in around 4:30pm. At this point he informed me he was closing at 3pm (posted business hours state he's open until 5pm, M-F) and that he would also be closed on Friday and Monday. When I asked why he hadn't communicated any of that to me prior to my placing the order, he blamed me for telling him it was a rush BUT not rushing fast enough to come pick them up. I placed this order Wednesday night and planned to pick them up Thursday afternoon - less than 24 hours - is that not rushed enough? He should never have accepted this order without advising that his hours were different than what he had posted on his site. When I pointed that out, he responded that "you never asked." So I guess it was on me to ask if his hours just so happened to be different than what he advertised. I truly thought I was being respectful of his business and existing workload by not breathing down his neck and demanding the order be completed faster. Never did I expect him to openly criticize and mock me for trying to be patient and work around his schedule. As I scrambled to find a way to get this order picked up by someone on my team, he proceeded to send me nasty texts, scream at me and hurl insults at me on the phone, and then hang up on me by yelling "PEACE." He literally had me in tears by the end of the call and laughed at me for it. I wouldn't wish this guy on my worst enemy. In his rant on the phone he proudly stated he doesn't care about keeping customers - people can take him or leave him if they don't like the way he operates. Which is true, you can absolutely run your business however you'd like. But why would you want to willingly hurt customers feelings and encourage them never to use your business? There are so many alternative printing options in the area - kicking myself for ever attempting to use this one.
