I had never been to this store before but the moment I entered Suki made me feel welcome and went right to work helping me get my documents prepared for shipping. Since it was Saturday afternoon (an hour from closing time) he told me that my papers wouldn't make it to their destination by Monday even if I paid the $89 shipping fee to get those papers out ASAP. He told me that it would be too expensive and that a better alternative was to go for the $49 rate because it would be less expensive and that the papers would arrive by Tuesday afternoon at the soonest. So I took his advice and went for it. The following day (Sunday) I realized that there were more papers that I had to send to the same address that should have been included with the first set. It was a good thing the store was open and that Suki was there when I called to ask for his advice. Sure enough, he got my original envelope from where he had stored it, opened it up and added the new set of papers to the original set then put everything in a new envelope, sealed it up and put a new packing label. I didn't mind paying the Next Day delivery fee ($84) because he said the papers would arrive by Tuesday morning instead of Tuesday afternoon. Wow!!! It was a small price to pay for such great service but it was just what I needed!!! I couldn't thank Suki enough...he was sooo polite and friendly and very accommodating and his professionalism made a very positive and lasting impression on me!!! Thanks again, Suki!!! Let me start first with saying I do have a UPS account number in which I've used for 15 years in the business that I am in. I've used this UPS store being it was in my local neighborhood since it first opened. Went to send out a package and now for some reason they would not accept my account number. The reason I was told this was because they have apparently been getting charged back because the receiver did not accept. I am pretty sure this happens quite a bit in this industry and is a just a part of the business. Apparently this independent account owner is just too cheap to inherit these cost. The owner decided it was a good idea to get hostile with me. Which was the wrong move on his part and moving forward I will never do business w/ this company again. Being UPS is a global company it's private owners like this who give them a bad name. For all intensive purposes take your business to FedEx and leave this hostile grump alone. The UPS Store - The worst customer service ever! - Mailbox Centers Near Me - Modesto, California

My boyfriend and I went to this UPS store today to do an Amazon return. I brought in two items which both were delivered from Amazon in one bag. I took both items in the same bag to this store. The guy who I believe runs this store only wanted to handle one return but expected me to buy a bag in order to ship out the other item. Amazon contracts with UPS to help returns run smoothly for their customers. It's not like UPS will lose money for handling Amazon returns. In fact, UPS gets paid for handling Amazon returns. I'm going to report him to Amazon and and UPS for shitty customer service. Unfortunately, I don't think my reports will get anywhere and I'm sure this store will continue to handle Amazon returns but at least I did my part. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The owner, who is there regularly (older man) is incredibly rude. I've been a customer for years. The girls are great. Sweet, kind and professional, however, the owner, is not. He got angry with me because one of the return labels I had was fed-ex. It was an innocent oversight on my part. I had quite a few errands to run and Amazon returns to ship. To make a long story short, not only did he slam the fed-ex return on my box but he also proceeded to shove the box at me in an aggressive manner. I bit my tongue. Quietly I grabbed the box and label and returned it to my car. I returned minutes later with everything else that was supposed to be mailed through UPS. He proceeded to scan my QR codes and take my items until he apparently mixed up the labels and items behind him. He turned to me with all the labels angrily and claimed I was giving him the same item to scan over. I told him I wasn't. He was literally watching me click on the different QR codes that belonged to each order. I explained that four items had shipped together so they are on the same return label. Apparently this really angered him because he raised his voice at me and told me I had mixed everything up. At this point I politely asked if there was someone else who could help me. The store was busy. He snapped at me, "why? I did nothing to you!" This is when I started to lose my cool. I admitted to him every time I went into his store I avoided him because he has a tendency of being extremely rude to women. Oh man, this pissed him off even more which in turn resulted in a scene. I asked him to step outside to have a civil conversation instead of yelling in front of customers. He refused to give me his name but he's the only man that works there. I get that maybe in his culture that's how you treat women, however, my expectation of a business owner is that he comport himself in a professional manner and at least pretend to be polite and courteous. He lost my business and for as long as I live in this town I will continue to share my experience with everyone. I have never been so humiliated by a stranger. He yelled at me. Accused me of mixing up labels after he took them from me and when I finally decided I had had enough, I grabbed my things from the counter and said I was done. He started yelling at me to give him all the labels. I said no. He refused to give me the items that I was returning. Yes, he KEPT my items. I was close to calling MPD, but chose to call Amazon first to make sure they could see the scans on their end.
