Around 4:45 p.m., I went in to mail a simple greeting card to British Columbia, Canada. The employee's first suggestion was to send it via FedEx for more than $70. The process didn't seem correct as she was putting it in a shipping folder, I questioned why and when I asked if I could just mail it with stamps, she told me no. I explained that I had mailed greeting cards internationally with stamps before, including to Australia, and only then did she change her answer to say she didn't know how many stamps it would take. She actually asked me how many stamps I wanted to buy, which left me completely confused. I said I didn't know which is why I came to a mail Center. I want to believe this was simply an honest mistake by someone who hasn't been properly trained. However, it's concerning that a business providing mailing services couldn't determine the correct postage or take a moment to look it up. Had I been an older or more vulnerable customer who didn't know to question a $70 shipping quote for a greeting card, I might have paid it unnecessarily. I left without mailing my card because I no longer had confidence in the advice I was being given. I've been a loyal customer because I wanted to support a local business, but after today's experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope the owner sees this as an opportunity to better train staff so future customers receive accurate information and don't leave feeling as frustrated as I did. I returned home and did an online search to discover that all I need is USPS Global Forever stamps (costing $1.75).

I've been to this one several times and have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. I've never had to fill out a shipping form, or wait for the 10 people in front of me to fill out forms. They also keep your addresses on file, so they can easily pull them up if you are shipping to someone you have before. Last night, I took in a bunch of gifts that I needed shipped but couldn't find a box for. The only box they had that would fit them all was twice as big as it needed to be. They could've easily used it as is and charged me extra for shipping and peanuts, but they cut it down so it was the perfect size. I didn't even ask them to do that.

I…read morework for a shower door manufacturing company, and we have been importing containers now for about 5 years, working with many different brokers during that time span. We recently hired NTG to help us truck a container from the port of Los Angeles, CA to one of our warehouse locations in Orange County. CA. Our container was available for pickup on the Friday going into Easter weekend, and NTG (specifically working with Joseph Fiorello out of Charleston, SC) was able to secure a pickup appointment with the terminal, store our container over the holiday weekend, and deliver to us on time the following Monday with no issues. The driver was about 20 minutes early, and our parking lot can be difficult to back up 40' containers as this location has no loading dock, but the driver was able to skillfully position the container right where we needed it to be for our live unload. The rates we received were competitive, especially considering the holiday weekend and the congestion issues we have seen over the past few years in LA/LB ports. Also, Joey would make it a point to reach out and discuss all the rates ahead of time anyways, so no surprises when our invoices arrive. Overall my experience with them has been smooth, definitely recommend!
