I'm pleased to say that the store has made some positive changes, not only to the inside design of the store but also the employees. In the past, I've had issues with quality & fair service. I am so pleased to report that my past two visits have been pleasurable and great customer service. They helped me out by printing a label for me from my Amazon return and packaged up everything nicely, which was very helpful since I had to rush to work. The service this place provides is terrible . My mail that's arriving at this place is either torn up upon receiving or is damaged in some way. Don't try to talk to the owner or employees because they are totally unprofessional and don't care what happens to your mail. read more

I just had the MOST unprofessional encounter with this UPS store! I came in to get a mailbox (called a PObox on the UPS site)...there were 3 workers in the store. A tall man in the back and 2 women (one very young and one older) working the counter. I asked about the box and the young women instantly dismissed me saying "We don't do PO Boxes here! You gotta go to the post office next door!" I tried to explain that I was looking for a UPS box when she starts yelling "we don't do no change of address here either! You need to go to the post office"...loud and crazy but the other 2 workers never even looked up or tried to help. I went next door to the post office and they clarified that UPS does do mailboxes and helped me pull up the details on my phone to show the store next door... All hell broke loose when I went back to the UPS store to again ask about the mailbox. The young woman started talking very loud and disrespectfully to me saying "I don't care whatchu was looking fo, we ain't got PO Boxes!" Rude and smart mouthed trying to intimidate me! The older woman proceeded to take my info and begin the process of setting up my MAILBOX! The whole time the young girl behind the counter is talking crap saying stuff like "we ain't got none available so you ain't gonna get one anyway". I told her ENOUGH!, I wasn't dealing with her anyway. She continued to stare at me and the finally GAVE ME THE MIDDLE FINGER not once, but three times! Throughout this whole encounter no manager ever removed her from the situation! I even ask her how she keeps a job with this attitude when the manager told ME to not respond to HER! What?! The manager of this place did nothing to resolve the situation. This young woman tried to intimidate me and it escalated when I pushed back. It was insane! What great service here from the whole staff! Just needed a quick copy of of something and they hooked it up! I've been here before many times and they're always professional. This is the second time this store has done me a solid. First time I was in a super rush because CVS did a shit job with taking a passport photo and it got rejected a week before my international flight. This store got my picture done and everything shipped smoothly in time for me to enjoy my vacation. Second time was today - Amazon was to send a driver to pick up a giant box from my house. The driver said I wasn't home, though both cars were in the driveway (WHATEVER). So I didn't know how to get a new label. Not only did they let me use the computer, they helped me figure how to make a new refund order and lent me a dolly to bring in the cardboard behemoth. They always have a cheery attitude in there and the tall guy was super helpful. (plus cute lol) Makes me want to have excuses to hang out. Anyway, obviously will be back whenever I need them again. read more

Warning, everyone! I went to the UPS Store in the Kroger shopping center at Hammond & Sandy Springs Circle a couple of weeks ago & 2 of their 3 employees had their masks on so sloppily that they kept sliding down their faces so were usually below their noses while we were there. Also, two of the customers in the stores' masks were either below their noses or sliding down the whole time they were in there. And a Fed Ex man came in to make a delivery while we were there, & his mask was under his nose the whole time he was in the store. Then, I had to go back there today & AGAIN, the 2 employees who were working the counter both had their masks on below their noses, & the worker in the back had his mask dangling from his ear. I complained this time about the masks, & instead of putting their masks on correctly, all three employees barked at me about how "it's hard to breathe with a mask on." They were all young people. This is my second experience with them, and both were just bad. I never wrote and gave them a pass regarding my first experience. They were just terrible today and have a lack of Customer service skills and manners. It was almost as if we were a total bother. It's hard to support small businesses (per your door sign) when you continue hire these type of employees. The best thing that came out of our experience was a wonderful teaching moment for my kiddos. Sure, gigantic corporations like FedEx and UPS are known for delivering goods across the world, but both companies do great jobs at processing printing requests in a short amount of time. And, as a person who occasionally uses these two chains and found himself in Sandy Springs the other day, I decided to check this location out. Things to know: ***** I. LOCATION & PARKING Find this UPS store several stores down from the Kroger. It's tucked in a corner, and I think by a jewelry store. Since this place is in the 'burbs, parking is not an issue. II. SERVICES I called inquiring about a creative request, and they told me to e-mail them at store4197@theupsstore.com. I asked how long it would take for them to process it, and they said it would be done within the hour. (Great!) I only needed it finished within three of four, so it was more than perfect. When I arrived, they had the order ready; however, one gentleman did not know how to operate the machine for me to pay, and for paying for only 75 8x11 colored sheets of paper and a couple sharpies, I thought the process took way too long. Sure, he may have been training, but don't offer to ring me up if you don't know how to. (Just some constructive feedback.) Really nice people working there, though. No attitudes, whatsoever. III. PRODUCTS Compared to other UPS stores I've visited, they definitely need to stock their office supplies better. Pens, sharpies, and other items were very scarce. And hey, when you're pressed for time (like myself that day) those things matter. IV. PRICES Office items may be priced a dollar or two more than, say, a Target, Office Max, or any other conventional chain that sells similar goods, but it's fine. Regarding the actual creative request, it was very affordable. Maybe $10 or something for 75 colored sheets of paper? V. OVERALL There's nothing unique or exemplary about this UPS location to make you choose this one over others, but it's very serviceable for your creative request needs. read more

This is the best UPS store around. Its not only the UPS service but actually the staff who works here makes it special. Staff here is so welcoming and always trying to help you. They even go above and beyond to give the accurate information even if that does'nt turn them in any business. So thats what I call honesty and customer services is. You don't get divorced at a Mail Boxes Etc." -- Gilmore Girls Season 4, Episode 19 I do my best to avoid all post offices, ups stores, mailing-type facilities at all costs. I print labels at home, I mail from my mailbox, and if I have to go in, I run in and drop off. They can be the most painful experiences because people seem to not care and hate to work there. That being said... I started next door at the post office - to drop off a package and renew my passport. The postal worker sent me here to get my passport photos (funny since there is a huge sign that says passport photos here at the post office, but I digress). When I walked in there were 3 or 4 people with no real "line," just cows grazing about with no idea who was next. The guy who seemed to be the manager spoke to me and said someone would be right with me (points for that). After about 3 minutes, a woman (Jane) came up and asked what I needed and I explained about the passport photos. She grabbed the digital camera and asked me to stand against the wall. I had the foresight to remove my bluetooth headset and sunglasses from my neck and set them down (by the way, later reading the instructions, the photo would be rejected for these things - Jane should know this and have instructed me). A quick snap later and she disappeared. So I stood there while more cow-people entered the store. Their organization is lacking. With a couple of employees and an oddly set up store, I'm not surprised. This is one of the old converted Mail Boxes Etc. locations that UPS bought, and it looks identical inside. I'm not sure they ever did much to these stores but change the name when they were purchased. They couldn't make place for a line if they wanted. After a few minutes, Jane emerged from the back with my photos, put them in a protective sleeve for me and asked me what fabulous place I was traveling to - so we had a nice chat about places we both wanted to visit. This was the nicest part of my experience here. It was nice to see someone had a personality and actually a pulse. By the way, if not for that, this place would have maybe gotten 2 stars (probably 1). So kudos to Jane. Make the place more inviting, create some semblance of order, maybe a little light would be good and maybe breathe more life into your staff and people wouldn't dislike coming here so much. Plus I had my little one with me, which is always hard to do errands with kids jumping around us, lol, but the staff was helpful and very friendly. The parking lot is busy and packed. This review is long overdue! Just before relocating from Georgia, I opened a mailbox at this location two years prior when Jim Roberts still owned the store. I just closed it today and feel that Store #4197 is deserving of a strong review. I chose this location because I was familiar with their notary services. When it was time to lease a mailbox, I shopped around but felt comfortable with Store #4197 because we'd already done business together. They ended up taking care of me by forwarding my parcels during a two-year period when the United States Postal Service wouldn't have been the best option for me. Whether I was working with Mr. Roberts or Jake and the gang, Store #4197 took over when family no longer could. I know I kept everyone on their toes with five different mail forwarding addresses and almost as many methods of payment, the latter of which I had to provide by phone or via email - a very risky decision when you really don't know if you're dealing with good people. From clothing, to legal documents, to school books, to money, to more clothing (!), their services rarely skipped a HALF of a beat. And the one or two times they did, the issue was almost immediately rectified *with an apology*. When I finally had the opportunity to meet the new crew in-person, they gave me a sincere "welcome home" as if I were one of their Georgia girls (And I was born and raised in California, so there you go.). As I walked in, an employee asked me to drop off my package at the counter. I waited at the counter as another employee walks out from the back. I asked her for a receipt, she replies "we're not open" in a very rude tone of voice! It was around 9:45 am and I immediately apologize to her. No other word was said from this employee. I didn't realize they were not open as the other employee instructed me to drop off my package at the counter. Also, the fact that I was able to walk into a place of business is usually a good indication it's open! My fault for not reading the sign but there's no need for such rudeness!!!! read more

I walked in today to ship a package to my nephew stationed in IRAQ in the Navy Seals. The wonderful young lady who helped me packed all of the food with care quickly. She asked me where I was sending the package and I told her it was going to IRAQ and said the box and packaging was free. She said GOD Bless him and how thankful she was for all of our military. I shipped a very valuable guitar to my home in New Jersey, and of course, there was a certain amount of apprehension about it getting here in one piece. I watched it being wrapped and boxed, and was VERY impressed with the job the guys did. Way above and beyond. They packaged it really well, then added MORE packaging! It showed up here right on time and was in pristine condition; and, even though the box had some wear and tear on it, it was so well packed you could never tell. I called this location for a quote to ship a package and provided dimensions, weight and value, and was quoted $54 over the phone. When I actually showed up to ship the package, the estimate changed to $67, but I figured that this was within a reasonable margin of error, so I went ahead and said okay. When it came down to paying for it, the price suddenly changed to $106 and then $126! I asked to speak to a manager, and the manager apologized to me, saying that the guy that had helped me was new. This "new guy" proceeded to apologize, admitted that he had made a mistake and the manager was kind enough to give me a whopping $9 discount. So, a shipping price that had initially been quoted as $54 ended up being $117. That's a pretty high price for a customer to pay for an incompetent staff member. To add insult to injury, the "new guy" was not even able to show me my tracking number on my receipt. For ridiculously high shipping prices, they should at least be able to hire staff that can recognize a tracking number and provide estimates that are less than 100% off target. Furthermore, when your staff member admits that the shipping discrepancy was due to his own incompetence, as a respectable manager and business owner, you should honor the initial estimate. The manager seemed to care less and actually acted like this sort of thing happened fairly frequently. This business seems dishonest to me and I won't be returning. read more
