I understand fuel costs have gone up, but raising the rate that much the day before LFD felt like we were being forced to either accept it or leave it. And they actually didn't look for another carrier so we had to pay storage. We kept providing updates on the LFD, but they did not seem to care. They do not care about your money or your customers. What happened to NTG? It used to be a very straightforward, easy-to-work with company and recently it has gone down the drain. I booked a load for my carrier out of Decatur AL to deliver in Hickory NC (Friday 9-27 to Monday 9-30). With a team led by Ty May and Bradford Long. All this happened over the weekend that Hurricane Helene went through the region. Nonetheless, we sent my driver to deliver at 9 AM in Hickory sorting downed bridges and blocked roads. We arrived on time and had to wait EIGHT HOURS to get unloaded at the receiver. We called multiple times to NTG and not once we were able to talk to someone of the booking team and receiving only brief emails telling that "we are working on this". Once we were able to get someone from the company on the phone and we were rudely hung up when we asked for detention (eight hours is a long time for a reefer to be waiting with its doors open sustaining -10 degrees) and asked to be transferred to the broker team that booked out load. Time and time again we were denied information and at this point of time we probably won't get any additional for the eight hours we had to wait at the receiver. NTG used to work with small carriers valuing their contribution. Now, they simply take advantage of them with no mercy. I have learned my lesson. I will stay away from them. Beware. read more

We give them a lot of business but their customer service is abysmal. They messed up a consignee's phone number and so the freight company couldn't schedule the delivery. NTG charged us $1,000 for 2 weeks of storage. I have emailed them 6-7 times during the course of 4 months asking them why they never reached out to us asking for a different phone number. They sent me an internal timeline showing they were aware of the bad number since before the storage charges began. So the only conclusion is that they wanted the storage charges to accrue so that they could charge us. The shipment was $200 and storage was $1,000. Bait and switch. They keep saying they will get to the bottom of it but they never do. And this only when they respond. They usually just ignore the emails and I've emailed 3 different people already. And then eventually they resend the invoice as if there hasn't been months long dialogs contesting the charges. I would avoid them. It's not worth the headache and unprofessionalism. No joke. 4 months now and no one will tell us why they never asked the shipper for a working number, even though they had the right number from the beginning and transcribed it incorrectly. read more

Recently did a load for C. Graham on 8/12/24 from Atlanta to Lake City, Fl(Target). I had a 10am appt, but was told there was no appt when I got there. Now I don't know ultimately who's fault it was, but I do know that we did our part to arrive on time. Eventually I got in and unloaded 12hrs later. I contacted Chris and his whole team via email since we were already on a group thread trying to get my truck empty. I got a bunch of calls b4 loading and while in transit, but when I asked for compensation for having to layover all I got was crickets. I've emailed/called and left messages to no avail. This is bad business and anyone doing this lane be aware. If you get hung up at least with this team the phones and emails stop working. NTG is apparently FreightPros. Avoid them like the plague! They continue to invoice me above and beyond the quoted, agreed upon, and paid for shipping/invoice (from October 2023). They contracted out the delivery of the pallet to another regional carrier (Central Freight). The information provided by me for the size, weight, and contents was 100% accurate. They continue to suggest the driver had an issue. It was an easy location (pull in, pull out) and we offered to forklift the pallet off his trailer and the Central Freight driver opted to use his pallet jack and liftgate (that's not on me!). Central Freight are equally abysmal with service. A month after the delivery, they begin their "we want more money" emails. After explaining it numerous times, it's obvious that facts have fallen on deaf ears. NTG, FreightPros, Central Freight = Brutal to deal with. read more

I am surprised to see all the one star reviews, my experience working with NTG has been great. I work for a shower door manufacturing company, and we have been importing containers now for about 5 years, working with many different brokers during that time span. We recently hired NTG to help us truck a container from the port of Los Angeles, CA to one of our warehouse locations in Orange County. CA. Our container was available for pickup on the Friday going into Easter weekend, and NTG (specifically working with Joseph Fiorello out of Charleston, SC) was able to secure a pickup appointment with the terminal, store our container over the holiday weekend, and deliver to us on time the following Monday with no issues. The driver was about 20 minutes early, and our parking lot can be difficult to back up 40' containers as this location has no loading dock, but the driver was able to skillfully position the container right where we needed it to be for our live unload. The rates we received were competitive, especially considering the holiday weekend and the congestion issues we have seen over the past few years in LA/LB ports. Also, Joey would make it a point to reach out and discuss all the rates ahead of time anyways, so no surprises when our invoices arrive. Overall my experience with them has been smooth, definitely recommend! read more

I have worked for this company for many years and no issues until December 2024 when I booked a load from Frankling Park, IL-Cedar Park, TX. When the driver arrived to the receiver he got refused saying that the load had to go to a different location. We informed the broker Malin and her team Grayson and Amber. To make this short, they were forcing us to deliver the load to Houston, TX instead. I informed them that we couldn't deliver the load there cause our driver needed to be in Laredo, TX by that night. This happen on a Friday, obviously the driver wasn't going to make it to deliver the load to Houston the same day so he had to wait until Monday to deliver. We told them we couldn't and if they can find someone else to do it. They also mention if we can drop it off at a warehouse and when we did found one warehouse they said NO...... YOUR ONLY OPTION IS TO DELIVER THIS LOAD TO HOUSTON! They did offer us more money but we refused it cause our driver needed to be in Laredo that same day. So we drop the load to a safe warehouse near by and told them we couldn't deliver it to Houston. Now after 4 months, I find out that they short pay us -1,100 for not delivering the load to Houston because they had to pay for warehouse fees and delivery charge. The warehouse fee wasn't too much and they pay another carrier to deliver the load for cheap. THEY PAY THIS FEES WITH OUR OWN MONEY AND KEEP MORE FOR THEM AND PROBABLY THE CUSTOMER PAY MORE TO THEM TO PAY FOR FEES. WHICH IS RIDICULOUS TO DO THIS TO US BY FORCING AND SAYING THAT IT WAS THE ONLY OPTION WE HAD AND NOT DOING THEIR WORK. read more

Nolan transportation Broker Keaton Burcham had me to to run a load at the rate of $2500 then after delivery he reduced the load by $1200. Be careful when you run for them, I ran for them for 5 years and had limited problems but the start of 2023 was different. They booked a load gave the the go head to leave and then call me two hours later and wanted me to turn back to go get another load. I am two hours away from home and because I wouldn't turn back he became very vindictive and frustrated. To get back at me, he cut the amount by $1200. Nolan don't have a open chain of command or person you can contact when you have issues, they simply stop communicating with you. I have all the email and documentation to prove but they do not care, they control the pay even if you sign a RC contract, they still don't have to pay you the said amount! I had a load going from Fresno to Sacramento, and when the load was dropped off the first four pallets were broken, so when I got there they told me that I would have to wait three days for the pallets to be fixed, so i sarted to call the agent but they didn't pick up, i even emailed them and no replay and now there are saying that we can't help you so the next day was Saturday so I fixed it and spent like four hours getting it fixed, and I only asked for $250 and dent and they are not even able to do that if I didn't get it fixed then they would have to pay $600 plus the layover, so if you want to pick up load with them be carefully read more
