This is not my usual UPS store but it was on my way while running errands so I popped in to do a few returns. The employees were polite and welcoming and had a wonderful sense of urgency and helping everyone that was waiting. It was a great experience and because of the gentleman that I believe was a manager, I will definitely be switching to this location! read more

First and last visit. Gary is horrible. Not only did he talk down to me, he ripped me off by charging me for bubble wrap (but wouldn't wrap in front of me) and did not properly weigh my box. How you treat your customers is a direct reflection of how you run a business. I've used this store several times for Amazon returns. My recent and last visit I had an Amazon SELLER return. I had a label and the item to return. When I arrived there was a long line ahead of me and a long line behind me. I handed the employee the label and the item and informed her that I needed it packaged. She grabbed them both and that was it. I asked "is that all you need, nothing else?" She said "that's it". A week later I contacted the seller about my return, he informed me the item was damaged due to the way it was packed. He charged me, what he called a restocking fee. He sent me a picture of the item with the packing, which was sent in the plastic wrap, with no bubble wrap or protection. I tried calling the store 3 times to speak to the manager, who was never there. I went into the store to inform the manager about what happened. While explaining the situation, he continued to talk over me and twist everything I was saying. I showed him the picture of the packaging. 2 employees that were there both stated that is what you send clothing in or at the very least you wrap in bubble wrap or something. I informed him when I brought it in I was not charged. He stated because it was an Amazon return. I told him that I let the employee know it needed a package, she took it and never charged me or asked me what type of package. He said maybe she was being nice. He asked me to send the picture and he would advise the owner when she returns tomorrow. She never called, I then contacted her myself. I informed her of the situation and I was met with rudeness, arguing, repeatedly talking over me and I was told it was my responsibility to tell her employee how to do her job. I said no I don't work in your store and it isn't my job to tell your employees how to do their job, that is on you as the owner. She also told me when you return things they charge you a restocking fee. I informed her he charged me a restocking fee because the item was damaged due to the way it was packaged (unprotected). After a lengthy conversation we hung up. She called me later and asked me to send her the receipt. I sent her the receipt, a screenshot of the conversation with the seller, and the picture. I never heard from her again. I then decided to contact UPS corporate and put in a complaint. They contacted the store and the store informed them that I REFUSED to pay for packaging. If that were the case, they had every right to turn me away and refuse service. The UPS store is supposed to be the packing experts. If they took the item then the onerous is on them!!! BUT they took the package and shipped it inappropriately, that is on them. Regardless if I pay for it or not. Whether she lied or not, SHE took the item and that made the store responsible. Shame on them and UPS Corporate for not taking responsibility and allowing the Owner of this store treat your customers they way they did. read more

I am writing this to especially acknowledge Garry, Nisha and Daisy Ji of the UPS Store on Stanley Blvd in Livermore. There have been numerous times when I have entered the store just five minutes short of its closing time, and yet, have been welcomed with a smile. Nisha and Daisy have stayed back beyond the store's closing time to help me pack my boxes and and put shipping labels on them. I continue to have my packages delivered to this UPS Store for safekeeping, whenever I am away for an extended period. Prompt service and super helpful and smiling staff! Workers don't care about their job it seems, bleak and depressing environment. They overcharge for printing. I printed like two papers, and they charged me close to $5 I came home and realized it was a waste of money, because the form I printed wasn't even the correct form I needed to file my taxes. Best waste of money I ever did, thanks UPS store! Your prices for printing two black and white pieces of paper is too high. My school library prints each page for $0.10 (ten cents). So what: $2.50 per page here at ups store? No thanks. read more

Even though it was a busy afternoon, Lonnie took the necessary time with us to make sure the document we had for notarizing was complete and accurate. I appreciated her professionalism and warm service, as she even came outside to our car to have my disabled mother sign instead of me trying to bring in the wheelchair. I never had issues with this place. I had notary done a few times, picked up and dropped off packages, & they have a courtesy drop off to the USPS. Everyone is nice to me and there's several different people that work there. My transactions are done fast. If I have many heavy packages they will let me use their hand truck and some will help me bring them out to my car. They always greet and say have a nice day. read more

Wish there was an option for "NO STARS"...this UPS store SUCKS! They over charge for EVERYTHING!!!!! The woman who owns this place would charge you for standing in line if she could get away with it. She's a flat out liar to boot. At Christmas I had a last minute package, which I wrapped and packed myself. She told me that my 14lb box, would cost $86.00 to ship to Massachusetts. I said that was highway robbery and she retorted that it would cost me over $100 at the US Post Office. I didn't believe this was true, so I took the box to the USPO and guess what? It cost $45.00 to send it Priority. I only go in there now to purchase boxes in sizes the USPO does not sell. I love to let her waste her time telling my why I should send it via UPS because it's so much cheaper...afraid not, dear! I am not sure, but individual UPS stores must be able to price things as they see fit and/ or not adhere to a corporate standard. It's more cost effective and faster to mail US Postal Priority if you use their Flat Rate boxes, which are free. read more

I felt inclined to write a review after my experience today...then I saw I've already written a review for this terrible location. So I'll update a one star to another one star..three years later. I had three packages of returns to Amazon that already had prepaid shipping labels. I just needed to drop off. Two packages were all taped up and ready to go. For the third package, I ran out of tape right before closing the top. I just needed a 12 inch piece of tape for the final top close. It was 6:25 as I pulled into the parking lot and they close at 6:30. I didn't have time to run into Rite Aid. So I walk in carrying the three boxes... Me: hi there. I just need to drop off. They're already labeled and paid. Employee: okay. Me: do you happen to have a 12 inch or so piece of tape I can use to close this one up. I ran out last night and didn't have time to stop and buy more. Employee: yes. But there's a "taping charge". Me: a taping charge? It's just this small box. *points to box showing the 12 inch piece of tape I need* Employee: yes. It's $2.50 for us to package and tape your boxes. Me: silence. Me: I can go across the parking lot and buy a whole roll of tape for $3. I literally just need 12 inches of tape. Employee: we close in 2 minutes. Me: really? Employee: okay okay. For this one time I can do it for you. No wonder this place has awful reviews. And I really want to reiterate that I only needed one small piece of tape to close a box that was probably 8 inches across. I can understand a "taping charge" if you have a huge box or need them to assemble a box. But this was a super small box. And my other two boxes were already taped closed, so it's not like I came totally unprepared and expected them to tape up and label all my boxes. Avoid this place. read more

I wish I could give zero or negatives stars. I had a HORRIBLE experience! Here's what happened: I live on the east coast, but was in California (where I'm originally from) to attend a bridal shower a friend had hosted for me. Among the gifts I was given was a large picture frame/guest book for the upcoming wedding where guests could sign on the matting. Unfortunately, it did not fit in my suitcase, so I went to the UPS Store in Livermore to have it shipped to myself on the east coast. When I arrived in the store, I showed my box/package to the employee working there. I told her what was in the box, and she suggested I buy a roll of tape to wrap around the box to make sure it was secure, which I promptly did. She told me the total cost I would have to pay, and with the tape I spent about $35.00 but expected to receive my package within a week or so. Four weeks later, I still had not received my package. When I looked up my tracking number online, I discovered that my package was discarded. Nobody ever contacted me to tell me the problem with my shipment; I had to research it myself. I called UPS, who referred me to the UPS Store where I had originally done the transaction. They said my package was confiscated because it was not package well enough. Funny that nobody told me BEFORE my item was accepted, only after. It seems to me the UPS Store employees ought to know what their own shipping/packaging requirements are. Nobody told me there was anything wrong with the way that my item was packaged in its box, with a whole roll of tape around it. If the item broke, I would rather have received the broken items than nothing at all. So, the item was worth $125.00. I've since ordered (and received) the replacement. In addition to the $35.00 I paid the UPS store, this whole transaction has cost me $160.00. I've called to ask them what their plan is to rectify the situation, and basically have been told it's my fault and they do not plan to refund my shipping money, do not plan to reimburse me for my loss, etc. So, my point is, if you want to have reliable shipping, with quality customer service, with staff who are versed with proper packing requirements who will guide you properly to ensure your item arrives at its destination, and who will rectify your situation should anything go awry, please do not do business with UPS Store on Stanley, or its sister store, the other location in Livermore. They are both owned by the same woman, Hartal. She will just take your money and run, and has very little ethics in her business about doing what is fair and right. They failed to deliver my item, and similarly failed to make the situation right. BEWARE!!! read more

I used the UPS My Choice service to deliver a package to that location for pick up, the advertised cost of which on ups.com is $5.00. When I arrived to pick up the package the store demanded $10.00 for the package and would not release it to me for the advertised price. The woman working there even acknowledged that she has "gotten in trouble" for charging $5.00; they are essentially marking up the pick up costs as they see fit. I have called UPS to file a formal complaint against this location, unfortunately these are separate third party entities and separately owned and operated, there really is no recourse through UPS for the package ransom racket they are running. read more

I haven't done any service with this store and NEVER will! Before I read the reviews here I called to ask about getting a mailbox here. Not only did this bozo talk over me, not hearing my questions, but wasn't talking TO me. He was horribly condescending, and in the end, when I went to end our conversation, I said "Thank y..." He friggin hung up on me!! On the business side, they are more expensive than the other two UPS stores in Livermore. These guys wanted to charge me $100 for 3 months vs $75 at the other two stores. I recommend the UPS store on N. Vasco, they are SO friendly and helpful. They want your business and the Stanley store obviously didn't give a rats a$$! read more

Is it possible to give zero stars? The owner of this location won't accept drop offs for corporate UPS account numbers. They won't even let you drop off a pre-labeled package so the truck can grab it. Really short sighted policy as I would likely do personal business here as well. Clerk was really nice and apologetic. Brought back a Dyson motor which should be a quick authorization and shipping, but computer problems (possibly there as it did not work on one and then came up on the other), delayed the process by about 20 minutes. I went in today to discuss my package that ups had disposed of due to damages to its contents. The owner of the store was not helpful at all trying to locate the email with the claim info. I was trying to ship a new package with the contents just as I did in the same manner that I have previously shipped without any issues. He than tells me that 2 players of bubble wrap around glass bottles and bubble wrap at on all six sides of the box was not enough when the box is THROWN! While we were in the store we also witnessed an employee throwing packages onto the floor. read more

DO NOT USE THIS UPS. The manager of this store does not have basic knowledge of BASIC policy. I was part of a team putting together a supplies drive and shipping relief items to Houston after Hurricane Harvey. We were promised a 15% discount on shipping, which was looking to be about $2-3k total. When I got home I realized I was only given a 5% discount. Went back to the store. Got an "oops my bad we aren't allowed to give over 5% discount." Why didn't anyone tell me this as soon as they realized this?! When I asked if they applied the discount they simply said yes without mentioning it was only a third of what they had originally told me. And why is the manager promising 15% discounts when only 5% is possible in the first place?! Not acceptable. read more

The location of this store is very handy as we shop at Nob Hill frequently. We've used their notary service, and it worked just fine. We've also used them for passport photos, which were deemed "unacceptable" when we submitted them, so we had to pay again to get them done elsewhere. Most of the people we've encountered have been reasonably friendly and helpful. I don't know if I'll be going here again since they no longer accept USPS packages, and that's the service we ship with most often. read more

Went here today to send my broken modem back to Comcast. I have used them many times in the past and have had no problems. I went in today and was in a hurtle and really just wanted to ship the modem back and move on. I asked them if I could use maybe 1 foot of tape to seal the box and ship it. The guy said they can do it but charge for tape. I said oh no I don't need a whole roll just a small piece for sealing the box. He said he charges for tape when a customer comes in with a pre paid postage. I really didn't have time to come back so I said whatever. He said he would give me a deal and only charge me $1.50 instead of $2.50. What a deal. I can't believe I had to pay for 1 foot of tape. I will never come back. Hate to break it to you but you have to chalk using tape for customers as just doing business as a shipping company. Totally absurd. read more
