This location is SOLID. I love living nearby. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even though I see them dealing with folks' ridiculous requests all the time. **1-Star Review** Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at this UPS Store. I paid an additional fee specifically to have my package delivered to the store. According to the tracking information, the package was **delivered to the store**, so I went there expecting to pick it up. I ended up waiting **approximately two hours** for the store manager then told me that the package was never delivered to the store, even though the UPS driver stated that he "did deliver the package". When I asked for help resolving the situation, I was essentially told that there was nothing they could do and that I needed to file a claim. This is unacceptable customer service. I paid extra for the package to be delivered to the store, the tracking information showed it as delivered, and the driver confirmed the delivery--yet the store could not locate my package or provide any meaningful assistance. After waiting two hours and paying an additional fee for a service that was not properly handled, I left feeling completely frustrated and dismissed. Customers should not have to spend hours trying to locate a package that the tracking system and driver both indicate was delivered. I would not recommend this UPS Store based on this experience. First, I don't normally write reviews, but my experience at The UPS Store 3941 on Louisiana Street in midtown Houston Tx was so disappointing that I felt it deserved one! I came in to return a warranty item and emailed the store the documents I needed printed. The email had multiple attachments, but I only needed 2 pages, the return label and the UN label. The employee initially helping me, Bell, said she hadn't received my email yet, so I waited. While I was waiting, she began helping other customers. After those customers left, I was left standing there for several more minutes without anyone checking back with me. Eventually I asked another male employee who was standing at the front, if my email had arrived. He confirmed that it had and I told him that I only needed the two documents printed. A few minutes later, Bell returned with all 13 pages printed and told me I would have to pay for every page. I explained, I had already told the male employee that I only needed two pages. Since Bell had walked away and never came back to continue helping me, I reasonably believed the other male employee had taken over my transaction. At no point did anyone ask me if I wanted all of the attachments printed. What bothered me most wasn't the cost of the extra pages, it was the dismissive customer service. When I politely asked if an exception could be made because of the lack of communication, I was simply told no and Bell walked away. When I asked Bell for her name, she ignored me and walked to the back. I then asked two other employees at the front for her name and neither would provide it. The lady with the tattoos on her arms just shrugged her shoulders and the male employee said "it's my first day". It wasn't until another employee came from the back that someone finally gave me her name. Ironically, he was the only person who showed genuine professionalism during the entire interaction. I ended up paying for the pages because I had already spent the time waiting, but I left feeling dismissed, ignored, and frustrated. I was never rude or argumentative. I simply expected basic communication and courtesy. I hope management reviews the security footage of this interaction because this experience fell far below the level of customer service I expect from a UPS store. This has been my go-to UPS Store location for years. Sure, it is busy but the line moves quickly and they have two self-service kiosks for Amazon returns. The staff work hard to take care of each customer quickly but without making them feel rushed. There are several dedicated parking spots out front which makes it even easier to drop by while out and about. If you're taking the MetroRail, get off at McGowen and it's only about three blocks away. I also appreciate the fact that this location stays open until 7pm most nights. Some of their services are on the pricer end ($2.99/page for faxing is steep!) but the staff were upfront about these rates before offering assistance. read more

I'm a music producer and sending 10 harddrives off for repairs. It was super busy and she said she'd pack it up for me later, which was fine. I trust her. I've shipped a few things from this UPS location and literally every time it's a line out the door. This location seems severely understaffed or incompetent or both. Today though I tried shipping time sensitive packages out and showed up at 8:02am. Their hours list that they open at 8am both online and in front of the store. Considering it wasn't a federal holiday (the day prior was MLK day), I figured it would be open. It was not. It didn't even look like anyone was in the store prepping to open. We waited around a few minutes before leaving to try another UPS store. Super disappointed with this experience. Angel was an angel today! I walked in at 8:00 am for a huge printing project which had to be done one page at a time and he helped me all the way through while at the same time helping over two dozen customers. I left at 10:00 am and returned again at 2:00 pm for missing pages and he helped me once more. His patience and polite attitude never waned even though I'm sure it was challenged. The employee informed me that UPS stores are independently owned, and believes they can set prices for printing. As soon as we walked out this UPS store, I turned to my beau and said: "What was that guys name? He was great." So major shout out to HENRY who was the most chipper UPS in-store employee we ever met. And it was a Sunday morning! I mean, nobody wants to work on Sunday, and Henry did it with a friendly smile and was fast and efficient with handling our package. Easily the most dishonest and unorganized location. This is the second time at this location that I've done an Amazon return that never made it back to the fulfillment center resulting in me not getting a refund. This time I handed the items over the counter because it didn't fit in the plastic bags at the kiosk. I was handed a receipt that said it would be going out that day. Well the end of the day came and Amazon said no scans had been made on a return and I still needed to drop the package off to UPS. They were closed by then so I went to the store the next day asking why hadn't my package been scanned and placed on the truck yet and my package was literally still sitting on the back counter with no label on it. I probably should've just asked for the package back at that point but the lady ensured me it would be scanned and on the truck that day... well the package still hasn't been scanned and there's no movement on the shipping so Amazon refuses to refund me stating that I need to get in touch with the shipping provider for a resolution. read more

Almost comical how poor the service was. Upon entering, I was immediatley told "your'e going to have to wait, we're busy". Then, as I was assisted, I had told the employee "Angel" that I was here to pick up a package. Keep in mind I was notified that my package was delivered (to Angel) on Friday. I came in Saturday, and Angel had told me I did not have a package. I return Monday, Angel is able to locate my package, but I'm charged 5$ because I waited to pick it up. Usually this location serves with 5 stars, but this last visit (October 2020) felt unpleasant. As we social distance they state they will serve 4 people in their lobby. Two at counter and two waiting in lobby. As I entered I was the next customer. Another customer comes in after and waits on the other social distancing floor tape. I waited patiently as the next customer completed her transaction. She finished, and as I walked up the female cashier quickly said pointing to the customer after me "I think she's next." I replied "Nope. I am next." With a negative tone she responded "Are you sure?" I would suggest your employees SEE and BE AWARE of who's in the lobby, and which customer is next. I've been coming here for years! I've seen employees come and go but by far this is the best staff they have had. What people don't understand is that it's an extremely busy location. There is going to be lines out the door at times and angry customers but these employees will still greet you and have a smile on their face while working promptly to get everyone in and out. The staff is always fast and courteous, which is completely different from any experience I've had at USPS. Specifically though I want to give a hard off to one extremely hardworking employee named Justin. I brought in a large standing jewelry armoire to return which box came in damaged. He was extremely understanding and proceeded to carefully make sure it was shipped carefully and no further damage would occur. He didn't sign or roll his eyes or look like he hated his job like any other employee at shipping stores, he was very understanding and positive and he has been that way every single time I've had to come in. As a divorced forever-alone middle-aged man I suppose I finally learned sooner than later that I am sensitive about certain things. One of those is teenagers trying their hardest to make a thug (i.e. this beautiful & hilarious thug right here) look dumb in public for no discernible reason. I brought in my internet services router and the bundle of cords to return back to the abyss so I don't get charged any more arms and legs than I have already provided to this omnipresent demon that has logged and probably sold my browser history to some Nigerian prince for the transfer pricing arbitrage. The first extremely loud comment from the guy manning the customer service register was if I had my internet services ID number since most people forget it and dat be a problem. K, I seem like most people - finally, high school me will be so happy that this bitch finally fits in. But I actually had my ID number on me. Then the next loud question announced to the rest of the store was whether this was my internet services provider or another brand, cuz I was in the wrong place if this wasn't the one internet services provider that just told me on the phone to come here to this location like five minutes ago from my office just down the street. I'm old but I am not Gollum old. I can only imagine coming in here in my 50s and not understanding any of this snapchat, iPhone 3s, Pokermans Geaux, and grindr lingo that the kids are using. Clearly the large internet services logo on my router facing the register and my mailer I was holding in my hand with the dumb large internet services logo on it were ignored, alright. Fortunately things went up from there if slightly. If you haven't shitcanned your terrible internet services provider (that tells you to come to a UPS services store to junk your router and cables back to them) yet here is how it goes. Google nearest location to your home and/or office. This is in Midtown so it is centrally located, this is a good location for probably a lot of Houston yelpers that live, work, and/or play near CBD. Come here during hours they are open. Come here during the day rather than later hours when the restaurants and such are open siphoning off valuable parking spaces in a pretty small lot. Bring your ID number (they tell you this on the phone when you cancel your account) along with your equipment. Then the magic happens. This location is also conveniently located just around the Dr. John "cornder" from the Spec's Midtown Warehouse so git you some party liquors before AND after your UPS store experience to help you relax and/or simmer down from your experience. So this location beats all the other locations because it is near the vodka and when momma has vodka it is a day worth confronting stoically. read more

We go here to pick up packages 2 or 3 times a week and have been doing so for about 4 months. The people at this store are awesome. Justin and Jason have my packages at the counter by the time I get to the door sometimes. Everyone is always hustling to help the customers however they can.
