CONSUMER BEWARE I used Postal Zone to occasionally forward packages to an out of state address. I signed up for Postal Zone's mail forwarding services via AnytimeMailbox.com. Apparently certain employees at the Postal Zone do not know how to use the mail forwarding software because they make mistakes and they put a CRAZY profit markup on simple mail forwarding services. On my end, I am asked if there are any special directions that I want Postal Zone to take note of. I notated my account to reflect that ALL packages are to be mailed via USPS Priority Mail. They did this correctly the first time, but then it was downhill from there. My most recent package was forwarded via USPS Ground...which takes a very long time for me to receive. I tried calling Postal Zone, after my 3rd call...someone finally answered. I pointed out their error, but they would not admit mistake and claimed that their software doesn't have my Priority Mail notes on they end. I pointed out that they had been following my notes and forwarding packages via Priority Mail, but the guy I spoke to would not even acknowledge this statement (despited there is a digital log on my previous shipment from them). Even the mail forwarding software company, AnytimeMailbox.com, got involved and called them to show them how to view my notes (they could see them too), but the Postal Zone employee told the software people that they were wrong and there are no notes. And.. Businesses like Postal Zone get discounted shipping rates, they don't pay retail. However, the Postal Zone more than doubles the retail cost of shipping for USPS Priority Mail (keep in mind that the USPS provides the envelopes for free). The literally put my package into a USPS flat rate envelope (less than 2 minutes to do). In summary, they may have good in-person customer service, but I would not use them for mail forwarding. read more

I've gone here several times for various things as it is in the neighborhood, but it is painful each time. Staff is very abrupt and project an attitude of being inconvenienced to see to any customers. I was psyching myself up to go in today for need of a notary, but was told the notary was not there today. This contradicts their signage and website saying they're available Monday - Saturday. read more

Postal Zone on Fountain View Drive is perhaps the best private mail service I have ever had the pleasure of using in my life - and I have used a handful in my time. I am obviously a fan of these services, they aid in ensuring that packages don't walk off your porch and the shipping options available are marvelous. More so with Postal Zone, as they have every carrier option - you can ship globally and with ease. Likewise, the staff is fun, friendly, and expert at what they do. I have had my private box there for a few years, and I can tell you with confidence they know their customers well, they know you by your name and they care. Add to that the little things - fax service, printing, etc. - and you have a winner in Postal Zone on Fountain View. The other convenient thing is they are located right next to Barnaby's Cafe, which is a nice thing after you get done shipping a gagillion things and picking up an array of Amazon Packages. The owner is also a marvelous treasure trove of information on shipping regulations - and alongside his seasoned staff members, they can assist you with pretty much anything you need. The young man who was my favorite was super friendly, and tried to organize the operation as best he could, but alas he left to get a better job. This store is simply UNORGANIZED. It is scary to subscribe to their services because you fear that your item is going to be the one they loose!! My aunt sent an Priority package for my birthday, containing fresh food. Shipped on Wednesday, arrived to Houston on Friday. I came to Postal Zone on Friday, they shut down early (later I found out the only guy working was ill) so I arrived first thing on Saturday, and they said they had nothing for me. On the cart, there were piles of arriving mail which had not been sorted yet. I had to wait until Monday to get my box, and the contents were all spoiled. My poor aunt decided to try again -- although she shouldn't have!! This time, Express Mail. Shipped on Thursday. Tracking showed arrival on Friday. I came to Postal zone at 5:50 pm trying to retrieve it, and they said "nothing yet, it must be on route from the post office to the store". I insisted on waiting until they close. The guy was irritated by this. So I started to look at the piles of mail waiting to be sorted. Sitting on their large printer was an Express Box. I pointed to ask if that may be my delivery. Luckily he was willing to look at it. He read the label and said YES it was for me, they just haven't gotten to sorting yet. OMG !!!! read more

This business does not keep records of any transactions after the day of the package drop off! What kind of business does not keep records, especially when you're dealing with so many packages? Really need to verify it was even picked up bc post office has lost it ( no surprise ). Always ask for a receipt when you are there, otherwise too bad. read more

Employee (Trevor) needs a serious attitude adjustment. I went in there yesterday to drop off some packages for FedEx. They were already labeled and ready to go, but yet I waited to be helped by the next cashier. Waited patiently for about 30 minutes and even had some guy cut me off and go ahead of me to mail his letter. It was cool. He obviously had more important things to do than me. I didn't say anything to him and let him do his business. I get to the cashier (lady) and said I needed to do a drop off for FedEx. She asked if they needed to go out today. I said it would be good if they did. She told me if they needed to go out today that I could try and catch the FedEx driver that was in his truck and was about to leave. I quickly left my 3 packages inside and went to talk to the driver. He agreed to take my 3 boxes I had in my car and I told him I had 3 more inside. I went back inside to grab the 3 boxes and the lady proceeded to tell me about alternate locations with later drop offs, but I told her that the FedEx guy was agreeing to take them. At this point, on my way out, Trevor, WHILE helping another customer, proceeds to tell me "HEY, don't come back in here!!" After my unresponsiveness to his outburst, he again yells out, "HEY, don't come back in here anymore bro!!" I was already running extremely late to another appointment, otherwise I would have addressed his rude and inappropriate not to mention unprofessional behavior. I have never had any problems with this location or it's employees, but it's obvious Trevor has some kind of attitude that seriously needs to be addressed. read more

This is a big plus for me since before I went here, I had to deal with all the crazy people down at the USPS on Unity. What an unpleasant experience... I hate standing in line at the post office, and every time I do step foot in one, the postal workers act like I'm a public nuisance and I ran over their cat. Postal-Max is a great alternative, this is quick, friendly, and your one stop shop to get that tie sent off to Uncle Max, and your sister's baby's Aggie onesie. The wait is generally very short, and they give you a variety of options and prices. I needed to overnight my son's laptop to Austin after I picked it up from the geek squad. I was tired of going to the place closer to me that charged 100% over what the post office charged, and I didn't want to stand in line all afternoon at the post office. My best friend told me about this place & I was beyond thrilled! He wrapped my son's laptop & secured it in lots of bubble wrap & peanuts. He typed all the information in & showed me my options. I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was to overnight the box, and the great customer service was priceless. This is my new go-to place for all my shipping needs. read more

I called this establishment at 2:39PM on a Saturday and asked for the time of the last USPS pickup of the day. I was assured that it was between 3:00 and 4:00PM. I arrived some 5 minutes later to send a package that absolutely had to be delivered to a P.O. Box in the Dallas area by Monday. I paid the regular Priority Express rate plus their $10 surcharge by 3:00PM and was again assured that there would be a pickup shortly thereafter. To my surprise, I received notice on Monday that the only action that took place that Saturday was the printing of the label. As per the USPS tracking information, the package was not picked up by USPS until at least later that Monday or Tuesday and it was not delivered until THURSDAY. It is obvious to me that there was no such scheduled afternoon pickup between 3:00PM and 4:00PM that Saturday and that I was lied to my face and on the phone twice. It also seems that no efforts were made to dispatch the Express package on Monday, no rush to move a package for which Priority Express service was paid. Had I gone to the post office on Monday, the package would have arrived on Tuesday, not Thursday. I feel they were extremely dishonest and will not use their services again. read more

Recently entered into a yearly contract to rent a mail box. Hector and Jackie are both very helpful and made setting it up a breeze. I regularly have packages sent there and it's much more convenient than the post office for anything. Employees are very pleasant and in a nice shopping plaza. Would recommend. read more

Postal-Max is an excellent place to conduct your package, express mail, overnight mail, etc. They are efficient, friendly and keep my contacts in their DB. So when I show up the already have my file pulled and an ask who is it going to from my mailing list. I would recommend this place without reservation.
