Another worker came out from the back and said she was going to take a break, and the only person working approved her taking the break and stayed alone at the counter, even though the line was big. I remember when the mail carriers of the handling of our mail, the Post Master's was on top of EVERYTHING but not in 2024! To make this long review short and get to the point, because I've been moving around a lot I put in a change if address from this zip code over 8 months ago. Because I discovered I was expecting a very important piece of mail, I had to get back with the personnel here. NOT only had I personally been in touch with them a few months after my move, it's 9 months after. What brought me back was yet another piece of important mail I was yet trying to intercept, again y'all not to put anyone on blast I visited to speak with the individuals I spoke to over the phone. I didn't get to meet those individuals but I was handed a HUGE stack of mail that wasn't sent back nor mentioned that was here by the several individuals I spoke to over the months. I went to this USPS office for the first time today to drop off a check package with a prepaid label. I reused a USPS soft package that had previously been covering a package sent to me. I went to the kiosk and printed my prepaid shipping label, but there was no receipt printed. I placed the label and taped up my package. Then I waited in line so I could ensure the package was scanned and get my receipt. The woman helping me would not scan the prepaid label and kept trying to peel off the tape covering the USPS package bar code. When I told her that I had walked in with the package and was reusing it, she started yelling at me and telling me that I was wrong and that I must be having a bad day to tell her how to do her job. I insisted that I only wanted a receipt and had come in with the packaging as it was, it was not new and I did not need to buy anything but she kept yelling at me that I should have gotten my receipt from the kiosk but she said that must have been too hard for me to understand. I don't expect stellar service at USPS but I also expect to not be berated by the staff. read more

I had to send a package to my sister and I was very happy to come here to send it off to her. The staff here were very friendly, professional, and helpful. They were there to answer any questions you would have and point you in the direction of items you needed. USPS on 2909 Rogerdale.... There is an AA gentleman and a Pacific Islander lady who work at the main counter. They are both very polite and they treat customers like human beings. I love dealing with them. The rest of those women have horrible people skills. They talk to grown men and women as if we are their bad grandchildren. I have never once heard any of them say the word "please". And they seem to go out of their way to NOT accept your package. It's almost hilarious to witness the amount of mental gymnastics these women go through to NOT help you. You can barely get a word out of your mouth before they bark with word "NO" at you. And they treat people of their own nationality worse than anybody else. They are as mean as a bunch of hornets .... and for no reason whatsoever. Sad! read more

Don't even want to give one star! I was in line and it was my turn. I was told I can use a better service then the lazy guy told me to fill out another form and go back in line to do that. What? He told me to use the different service! Then I could just finish up there in 1 sec he insisted I need to go back to a long line. The manager there on 2/29/20 Michelle was not helping either. She told me I have to go back in line while I almost finish my new form. It took me another 20 min to go back in line. It's super horrible! And then she let a lady cut a line! There are things you don't know about me - I take photos of everything I send through snail mail. The mail clerk was laughing. I explained, "I'm paranoid about the mail not being received." Her solution was to send it as a certified mail. Technically, it should send me a confirmation when it's signed by the recipient. But what if the recipient chose not to pick up, I'm completely at a loss. A week passed, I haven't received my confirmation. Oh no. I had to call and fax my proof to tell the recipient that I did mailed it out and go pick it up at their post office. At the end, this time-sensitive mail piece did not deliver as promised. Not her fault. I should have known the possibility. Overall, I like the easy access of this post office. It is located conveniently off of Beltway 8 and near stores I frequently shop. I'm much happier to come here than the one they assigned to my house. I love how the postal clerks smile and greet you as you approach. They are friendlier than those contracted substandard mail houses. read more

Horrible service for a busy post office. The employees are not helpful or just plain lazy. I opened a post office box last week and I found out the key didn't work because they haven't changed the mailbox lock. Then I proceeded to cancel the service because of the key not being able to work. They then told me they were not able to give me a refund because it wasn't their fault that the key didn't work (when it was their fault). I avoid this post office if I can. read more

The trick to this visit was to just deal with the automated postal employee (i.e. the machine at the front). Given that such a thing exists now, I don't see why anyone would want to wait in line and deal with the actual people. On a side note, I'm not sure why this post office is on "Rogerdale" since it clearly faces Beltway 8. Also the driveway from Rogerdale has quite the incline so expect to bottom out or scrape the underside of your car if its low like mine. read more

My postman refuses to deliver packages that don't fit in my mailbox. He drops them off in an unorganized pile at the apartment complex office and does not notify residents. He also argues with the office staff that keeps telling him NOT to deliver packages to the office. Packages keep getting lost and he does NOT care. A little tricky to find. It's actually located off of the Sam Houston Pkwy S. frontage road. Be careful not to pass it or you'll have to drive all the way around again (darn, one way roads). I go to this post office at least once a week to ship some things all around the country (and further). Things I really like: - There was one day that a worker showed me exactly how to use the self service kiosk, which I wasn't using because I wanted tracking. Now that I know that bubble mailers need to be listed under package rather than envelope, I can get tracking no issues. - Everything you need for flat rate shipping is available outside of the gated area, near the PO boxes. This allows you to grab things you need even when the registers are closed. Some of the workers can be pretty grumpy, but I think that has more to do with the issues that appear with the system (and international shipping). You can definitely find cheaper postage online, but if you're in a rush or don't have a scale at home, this post office is convenient and close to my work. read more

Why do they have only 1 person working the lobby counters. This is why people use UPS, FEDEX, or any other means. However the gentleman working the counter stayed polite and courtesy to the customers from beginning to end. So it seems odd to be writing about a Post Office but I have too! I don't know about you all but this is the best post office I have been too. Picking up packages has been a breeze! My most recent experiences in Chicago really ruined me and always gave me anxiety. Since my husband and have moved into our apartment we have been ordering a lot of stuff online. If it doesn't fit in the mailbox they send it to the post office. I'm totally on board with that. The two times that I've been there's a lady there Michelle Carter who is checking on everyone in line and trying to make everything quick and efficient. I've observed the people working the counter and they all seem very pleasant as well. There's always been a line but it always goes by pretty quickly because there's always at least 2 people at the counter and Ms. Carter expediting the line as much as she can. I've never seen post officer works as nice and pleasant until now. I don't dread going or have an anxiety attack when I'm there. If could be a fan of the post office I am definitely a fan of this one! read more

Incredibly rude and highly unprofessional manager there! My husband and I went in to speak to the customer service representative about an issue with our mail being stolen. We started telling the manager about this issue and the first words out of her mouth were, "and what? You're talking to me like I'm supposed to know something." That is in NO WAY acceptable, it is NOT professional, and it will NOT be swept under the rug as far as I'm concerned! My advice, AVOID this location at all costs. You need to knock on the door to deliver a package that needs a signature. Shoving a slip in my mailbox is not doing your job. What I like about this post office is that it has an excellent location, exceptionally friendly postal clerks, it's clean and the lines move relatively quickly. However, the problem that I've repeatedly experienced is that the supervisors treat this location as if they are running an independent small business as opposed to working for an outpost of USPS. I have made 4 visits to this location and had to launch 2 investigations with USPS to get this location to provide a refund on a Priority Mail Express shipment that was not delivered overnight. Instead of honoring the money back guarantee for failure to render services as contracted, Supervisors Renee Butler and Kaye Roberts have organically created USPS refund policies on a whim telling me everything from I have to file the claim online (not even possible) to I have to go to the post office where I mailed the package (I dont) to questioning the validity of the claim form that they provided to me. I'm so baffled by the intense determination to deny my claim that USPS Consumer Affairs has already told me in writing is valid, that I'm beginning to suspect that perhaps this money will come directly out of their paychecks??? I get it, it's impossible to know the many rules and regulations of the organization you work for, but if you don't know, ask somebody. Don't make it up and don't be rude. I still have no refund and was forced to open a 2nd investigation with USPS Consumer Affairs because the depth of incompetence runs so deeply unchecked at the supervisory level. read more

Package is lost in limbo, tracking shows it "arrived at unit" four days ago. Yesterday, according to postal worker, the package was there for pick up. If you want tracking on your packages do not drop off here. 90% of the time I get no tracking until it hits North Houston. Often priority mail dropped at 3:15 Monday is not touched until Wednesday. Also if you drop off prepaid they refuse to give you a receipt. I do about 20 packages per month. read more
