Upon arrival, the employee, Darrel Mitchell ( his picture is all over places on this page), immediately displayed hostility, making unprofessional assumptions before even processing our application. After taking our original ID and citizenship documents to copy in the back, he claimed we were missing paperwork and required us to wait in the corner while walk-in customers were prioritized ahead of us. -When I politely inquired about our appointment status, a second clerk ordered us back down to wait in the corner. We ultimately left due to verbal hostility and safety concerns regarding our original federal documents and for not knowing when they will work with us. -To make matters worse, local station management actively covers up staff behavior. The location doesn't have a kiosk, but I'm glad I'm able to see them scan my packages in as I drop them off. Therefore, the line wasn't too bad, since I was able to fast pass myself to the front for package drop off. read more

I personally work in a setting that requires professionalism and respect. But what I experienced in this store truly upset me and triggered me to write this. Let's start from the beginning. This happened a few years ago when my family and I had to renew our passports and submit some paperwork. My dad couldn't find any availability at other USPS locations, so he scheduled our appointment at this one. It was our first time there, and we had no idea what kind of experience we were walking into. When our turn came, my dad started organizing the paperwork at the counter. We got a male employee who began looking through the documents and immediately started speaking in an unfriendly, almost hostile tone: "You're missing this, you need that," and so on. He then told my dad to "stand over there and do it," but not in a polite way--his voice was sharp and disrespectful. This happened three times, each time with the same mean, almost yelling tone. My dad, whose English is limited, stayed respectful and calm despite being treated poorly. I could see him stressing, and I almost started crying, but my sister calmed me down. When we left and got into the car, my siblings and I told our dad we would never come back to this place. My mom was so stressed she started crying too. That day left all of us shaken. Fast forward to now. I had to return a package. It was already packed, labeled, and ready to go--they just needed to scan it. I didn't know which USPS was closest, so I decided to risk it and went to this same location alone. When I arrived, I accidentally went in through the wrong door. The male employee immediately started yelling, "Ma'am, that's the wrong door!" I was shocked. I quickly apologized and went to the correct entrance, but my hands were shaking. There was no reason to yell--he could have easily said it in a normal tone. The store was empty except for me and two employees, so there was no issue with noise or hearing. If he had spoken normally, I would have heard him just fine. I ended up having a small anxiety attack. All I could think was, "I just need to hand this over and leave." I didn't even look at him because he scared me that much. This male employee is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and ill-mannered worker I have ever dealt with. I understand people have bad days, but it's no excuse to take it out on customers--especially those who are simply trying to get something done. Would I ever go back here to return, send, or process important paperwork? NEVER. If you value your peace of mind and don't want your blood pressure to spike, avoid this location at all costs. Absolute worst service I've ever experienced in my life. For starters, we waited in line for about 30 minutes to check in for our SCHEDULED passport appointment. When we got to the desk, the postman (I believe his name is Ms. Willams), informed us we have to reschedule because they have no one available to conduct our SCHEDULED passport appointment. This was incredible frustrating since my boyfriend and I were out of town and had to rush back for this appointment. I never received any notification of this cancellation, either. However, I am more upset with the way the postman talked to not only me but every single customer in the store. The postman bluntly told us we have 2 options to reschedule during the week, but unfortunately my boyfriend and I work full time jobs and are not able to take of on a whim to come in. When I explained the situation, he once again bluntly stated those are your options. No apologies for the last minute cancellation. No attempt to find other dates/times that work better for us. We just left to avoid further conflict sensing the man was not going to provide any ounce of compassionate customer service. I went in to activate my PO Box that was prepaid online and she was no help at all. She insisted that she couldn't help me at all just because the receipt was on my phone and not physically printed. [for context - the website says that NO WHERE!! It just says go in to the post office & bring your ID] I offered to give her the confirmation number, any information she needed. She was just nasty to me and unwilling to help me problem solve. I offered to read it to her, to hand write the information in a blank form, to send it to her to be printed. Nope. Horrible service. I don't know if this post office is bias towards specific people but I had the worst experience here and I would advise staying away from this office. I came for a passport, everything printed/filled along with B. C. and ID, (No appointment just a walk in). I waited in line for them to tell me to wait in another line which had then been filled. An african man with a white beard, told me to wait outside since it was very busy so I did and after 10 mins he walked out of the building got in his car and LEFT. I WAITED 30min! Several people began coming in after me so I walked back in asking if I had to wait for the man and they said "yes wait outside to be called". Long story short, I was in this horrible post office for an hour running in circle while others were walking in and out getting passports done, with no appointments as I over heard. I've shipped a package for a customer in the beginning of this month. It was quickly taken and sent to another facility the next day. Shortly after, it left the facility never to be seen again. It's now the middle of this month and there wasn't a response regarding the whereabouts of the product. I called USPS Customer Care and they were also as confused as we were. They opened a claim in the beginning of this week, and I got a response on Friday. It confirmed that the package was lost, and I needed to file for a loss claim. I paid for first class shipping so the client would get the product in 1-5 Days. I waited nearly 2 weeks to find out the customer will never get the product. Because the package wasn't insured, USPS refused to reimburse for the loss. They said tough luck. Despite them being the sole reason that the product was lost in the first place. Now I've not only lost the product but a customer as well. USPS cares less if I'm going to look bad, losing clientele. They don't take themselves accountable for their bad practices. As to quote the customer representative, "We don't deal with that matter, we JUST SHIP!". I hate that I cannot even trust the united states' postal office for my business. read more

came today in the morning around 9:50 as a walk in for my passport renewal, the old black man that does the passports came out at 10:04 and said that the line ends where some man was at and was no longer taking walk ins after him. But said that walkins stop at 10:30 , so why at 10 do you come out and say you're stopping the line and not taking any more walk ins ? If you want to get your passport done then make sure you get here super early. They open at 9AM but the passport line is a different line. I think we waited about an hour in line for 3 passports that took about 15 minutes to do since you filled our forms beforehand. It's located near the Burger King. Parking lot is a bit small but it's usually not crowded. One thing to help you avoid trouble is to make sure your mails/packages are sealed and labeled correctly. The line isn't too bad if you're patient enough. They usually have 3 people working at the windows. Staff are somewhat friendly. I always see the same people there. Watch out for this one man who likes to joke around. There is a drop box outside to the left of the post office near the streets but I just like to go in and give it to them. read more

I came here this morning for passport processing. I've been having the most difficult time trying to get it done however the alief post office made it so simple! My appoint was at ten am. I was done and out of here by 10:13 am! There was a short wait but the line dissipated rather quickly. The people who work here were quick, efficient, and courteous. The woman who assisted me was fantastic. She quickly processed my application and I was out of there in no time. I am definitely glad that they were able to process everything so quickly! It was definitely a weight lifted off of my shoulders! Once the world opens up again I will be ready to go New Passport in Hand!!! Thank you Alief USPS! I'm a fan of this USPS! YAY!!! I came here to mail my passport renewal so I can do some good traveling outside of the USA this year and I found the process to be very convenient. (Never knew you could get a passport here, I think this is cool!) They are very, very efficient in getting customers through the line. There were two clerks processing customers with credit cards and one for both cash and credit. There was a staff member who was directing all the traffic and showing people where to go and what items they would need to mail certain packages. I found this to be very helpful! They are very helpful and friendly here and they managed to tackle the line and crowd quite well. If you look confused there was someone actually in front of the counter to help you, which is very convenient. I will be back (because I forgot to sign my passport renewal application(duh)). If I could leave a 0 star, I would! We went to ship products here, it's a frozen package and we already bought a insulated foam box and we paid $7-9 bucks for the USPS box too. On the website they said to buy our own foam box & dry ice for the sake of our own products... the total was more than $60 bucks ($54 priority mail + $9 box).. But when it's arrived, the receiver told me that they took all the dry ice out and even changed the box. They literally keep the new box and ship the old, broken box! When our products arrived, the box are literally broken and the insulated foam box & dry ice are all gone! I never leave bad reviews anywhere before.. but now I have to because I don't want anyone to have the same bad experience like we did! Don't waste your money here! read more

I arrived at 9:00 (as a walk-in) to stand in line for my passport application. I was 12th in line and still done within the hour. Tasha was SO nice explaining the process to me. The other two employees were helpful and pleasant as well. ***WORST PLACE TO COME TO FOR PASSPORTS!!!! *** One of my worst experience ever. The process of closing my house was much more pleasant than trying to get my passport. They claim they are the only "walk in" place to get a passport, but I think it would be much faster if you had an appointment because they are as slow as a turtle. When you walk in, there's a sign that says "passport line" (separate from the sending off packages line which are the doors on the right). Make sure you stand BEHIND the black and yellow line or someone will come out and yell at you to move back. There were 3 people in front of me when I came around 12:15 and it took an hour plus. (They accept walk ins/no appointments until 1pm) The process itself where they enter in your information takes maybe 5-10 minutes assuming you have everything you need. Make sure you have your birth certificate, drivers license, and the application. If your ID doesn't match your application, make sure you change your ID name at the DMV or bring in a marriage license/certified copy to prove the name change. Fingers crossed you don't get the Asian lady Michelle because she ain't trying to help you. And pray that you don't get the older lady because she will talk your ears off. She's sweet, but LOUD. I think that if there was less joking around and talking amongst each other... the lines would move a little faster. I understand that you guys have to be there all day, but people are trying to get in and OUT of there as fast as possible. They take your original birth certificate for filing and it will be mailed back in about 4 weeks so make sure you make a photo copy just in case! *** MAKE SURE you go on texas.state.gov to check the status of your passport application because these people had ONE job and messed up my name AND my email.
