I couldn't believe there's a full-service Post Office in my neighborhood. This one is on South Gessner Road and Westpark Drive. The strip mall has a mixed shop. Next door is a laundromat. Customers were using the post office entrance to load and unload. Today, there was a man sleeping at the entrance. Not sure if he was waiting for his mail or he was just a transient. I only came here to drop off a piece of mail that was normally taken care via online payment system. So, nothing to brag about me coming here today. Just like a typical post office. read more

If I could give this office zero stars I would! I didn't get his name but black male with long hair pulled back in pony tail was extremely rude when I walked in with my child! I had a return label and I asked a question and told me to get out of the office because I wasn't wearing a mask! Note! TEXAS CANNOT REFUSE SERVICE AND IS MASK MANDATE FREE! 1star because it's the lowest I could select. The African American lady that works here is rude, unprofessional, condescending, always in a bad mood no type of customer service skills at all. Been here only a couple times but every time I come, she's treating anyone and everyone horribly, always has a angry face on. I was there this morning, 9:00a sharp, she was there 2 minutes late and instead of saying "good morning everyone, please stand behind the red mark, give me a couple minutes and I'll be right with you guys." This mean lady BARKED/ROARED at my boyfriend and I "KEEP THE LINE BEHIND THE RED MARK!!" We where so confused, even my toddler got scared. Regardless we did as we where told even though we were only 2 steps past the red mark. When we saw her get to the computer we started to approach the window and ONCE AGAIN she BARKED/ROARED at us "I SAID KEEP THE LINE BEHIND THE RED MARK" she could've easily said "I'm sorry I'm not ready yet, but when I am I'll call you guys over, can you guy please wait behind the red mark". How the hell are we supposed to know she needs yet MORE time to get her stuff set up? Because when I say she was late, I mean late rolling up the window. Not late arriving to the post office. My boyfriend and I where there at 8:55a and she was already at the office. Idk why it took her so long to open the window if she wasn't setting up, not only that but where is her customer service? A manager needs to retrain this lady and let her know that clients aren't her dogs for her to be barking at us. We are ADULTS, and at least myself and bf and kid, we're educated, decent and we speak English/Spanish , not bark. We don't need some angry old b***h to be screaming at us early in the morning. On top of that I wanted STAMPS for a envelope I wasn't even gonna send yet, I gave it to her to weigh it, and I've normally paid for 2 stamps to send the exact same documents in other occasions and this lady charged me over 2 dollars. One of the employees here(African American Male) has the best costumer service. Super nice. I always come in to a smile when ever he is working. He is the best worker here. He will answers all questions with a smile and make your day better. But besides him this place deserves no stars. This post office shuts down randomly during the day for a "lunch break" or whatever reason. No other post office has ever done that. The other workers are highly rude and when they do help it's with an attitude and usually don't even answer any questions thoroughly. This post office needs a make over and needs to be reevaluated. Worst customer service! I've never dropped off a package before, I asked the man with long gray hair, in the front desk if I needed to wait in line to drop off the package.. simple question.. and he said to me " if only you read"? Wth, I don't need his smart ass comment! Just do your job, you're getting paid for what you do. And if you don't like working there and provide the proper customer service that you are getting paid to do, then I hope you get fired or work somewhere else! You literally ruined peoples day for no reason. And I've seen you had conflict with other customer in the past! You are just a rude old man!!!! USPS needs to do something about this location! Older lady who works here is so unprofessional. I have been here several times to see it; for example she walks to the back and stays there when it gets busy with a line. A few days ago when I was here, a customer made a comment about the same thing. Today, this employee made a sarcastic side comment at the person in front of me with her eyes rolling. When I walked up to the counter with my package, she told me I had to step away to put my return address on it (which took 15 seconds; could have done it right there)! Tried walking up again to her but she told me to wait further back while she typed something. After waiting several minutes, she takes a different person in line instead of me. Took her time, again. When it was finally my turn, I slid the box to her side of the counter as soon as I walked up and she glared at me and said 'I know you didnt just throw that at me' (I did not). I couldn't believe she actually said that. This woman meets the definition of "disgruntled employee". I would avoid this Westchase USPS location at all costs if I were you. Needs new employees who are actually professional to some degree. read more

If you can take the extra 5 or 10 minutes drive over to the US Post Office on Rogerdale. Why this location is the armpit of all post offices in the city: 1.They never have flat rate mailing boxes you may be looking for 2. Their forms are never stocked properly 3. No drop boxes for cars where you can drive up and drop off 4. They have taped up the mailing slots inside for anything larger than an envelope. Seriously, you can't just drop off a parcel of any kind except at the counter 5. And the counter!! Lord...usually there is only one person working there while the rest stand in the back and stare at you while you strand in line. They appear to be working on moving the packages they make you drop off at the counter from one bin to the other but it's hard to tell. I know we think all post offices run like this. But compared to this one those are well oiled machines. And don't expect the counter people to help you fill out forms. I stood in line to drop off a package yesterday and listened to the employee do everything BUT help a lady who was trying to send something certified mail. I know we all complain about waiting in line at the post office and we joke about the poor service you get when you finally get to the front of that line. But there are some decent post offices in the city. The one over off Wesleyan in the Petsmart shopping center and, the one on Rogerdale are ones I would recommend. This one is dirty, rude and ineffective when it comes to mailing a simple item. I really am surprised it's still open. read more

When I was going to ask the front lady a question. She rudely interrupted me and said "I don't know what you're talking about you have to give me everything already prepared" period. I was asking her about a specific label and she kept interrupting me not even willing to help. I got the wrong box size they do no exchanges even though I had just gotten it. And didn't even try to suggest a size I ended up going to an office that DID HELP ME and I purchased 3 boxes all because she was unwilling to help. And she she was rude, dismissive, just plain ughhh. If you don't know how to do your job then how do you expect us to know and not ask for assistance. And still gets mad. Also she felt bothered when someone needed language assistance she said "all they need to do is give me the white paper I don't need to know Spanish for that" well then put up a sign then b**** how is the customer supposed to know that if THEY DONT KNOW ENGLISH. I had to LOOK up another location in chinatown lady barely knew English and gave me better service than here!! And gave me the right guidance. You should be ashamed. Then I went to tape my mailing label and that man muttered under his breath saying that I reached over the counter and without being called first, when the sign clearly says to. I tried to politely tell him sorry, and that I'm just getting the tape! I was trying not to hold up the long line that already formed actually, and this is what I always do when I go here! I wish I could give this place NO starts because it has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I work across the street at a law-firm and constantly have to use this USPS (unfortunately). Every single time I step foot in that place, me & my coworkers have been treated rudely. Every time I ask for envelopes, they tell me to order them because they don't have a lot to give out. They don't make eye contact, greet you, or even talk to you. And when they do talk to you, they sound like they're whispering. They always answer with an attitude like if I'm already supposed to know the answer to everything. They have no sense of urgency, are super slow and always cut me off when I'm trying to say something. Sometimes they don't even know what they're doing. I really wish this place would hire a completely new staff so I wouldn't have to dread coming here ever again.
