This is the worst post office I've ever been to and the carrier never brings my mail to my home but maybe 3 times a week instead of 6 days a week. I've had numerous checks and packages stolen by my past carriers. I've had my name photo copied to receipts saying I got the package when I was out of town for a week. My package didn't get delivered and I was told I had to pay a something called "due pay" I called both USPS services one is my local and the other is the main one I talked for about 1 hour and 30 mins they got told I had to show up to my local and pay the due and pick it up and I did mind u they close at 5 I show up at 4:30 and the doors are locked but there was still people inside the lady said "we're close " what do u mean u close at 5 and there was nearly no people how hard is ur job to take 30 mins to attend 4 people now I got told I need to come at 9:30 to pick it up like what!? they are unprofessional and if u don't want to work and leave early go work somewhere eles. read more

the woman at the front desk was extremely rude to the family in front of me. they primarily spoke spanish and had limited english, so there was clearly a language barrier. instead of showing patience or trying to help, the employee repeatedly raised her voice at them. they weren't hard of hearing, they simply needed a bit of understanding and support. read more

I have to say that USPS is horrible with package delivery. They are not dependable whatsoever. Yet, for some reason, they think they should raise the cost of everything. REALLY? I'd rather not come here to pick up packages when mailman failed to deliver a package. But this location is my designated postal service. Oh boy, after coming to this run-down post office for many years, I felt really bad about how our tax dollars were not well-spent here. When I first moved to Houston, I got about 5 pounds of misdelivered mail monthly. I tried to write "no such person" and "return to sender" on the envelopes. But it was no use. I read online to bring the mails to my local post office. I brought a bundled package to a clerk, who said he would take care of it. And, a week later, the same bundle was at my door step. @#$*# What?! I could just burn them as fire logs. Sigh... the parking lot needs to be re-surfaced. When you are driving, be sure to slow down. Because if you were walking on this gravel lot, you'll know not to walk fast or you'll slip and fall or get hit by a car. I'm waiting on a package that was supposed to be delivered 12/1/23, it's now 12/9/23. It is sitting in a USPS warehouse in Missouri City Texas since the 12/2/23. The tracking information just keeps giving me the same information, in transit arriving late. The last time it was scanned was three days ago! It seems I'm not the only person in my area that's having this issue with packages that are coming through this facility, as I've found several people currently in the same position I am in. Even after filing a complaint, they tell you "It's just taking longer than expected but you will get your package." And if it's not sent from a company, and you didn't pay for priority mail, they don't care how much you paid to ship it or what the contents may be (especially if urgently needed, I.e. meds), they're not going to do anything extra to hurry up and find it. From now on, I don't care how much more expensive Fed Ex or UPS is, that's how my packages are being sent. USPS sucks balls! read more

I came to mail a 5x5x5 package to see if USPS was cheaper than UPS (which was $10!). Upon entry, the lady by the door is NOT nice, but she IS helpful. She wears her name tag backwards so I can't tell you her name, I can't even tell you her eye color bc she doesn't look you in the eye. She's mean, but she will help you figure out wtf you're doing with all the labels and stuff, so you gotta tough it out. When I got to the counter, the guy who shipped my box was super nice! He did everything real quick and it only cost me $4!!! I usually dread the line at USPS but I think I got in and out in under 10 minutes despite the 8-10 people in front of me. I considered myself lucky in finding an open post office on a Saturday somewhere between Chimney Rock, 59, Bellaire Blvd, and Beltway 8. This place was efficient, which was valuable given my rush to need to get elsewhere one fine, sunny Saturday morning. On my way in, I noticed there was a clerk at a "Quick Line" door. I walked into the main service area, and there were three clerks available and a line of at least six people. The line cycled pretty quickly -- I was in and out in 10 minutes. The guy in front of me got routed to the quick line. The quick line is a complete misnomer. One clerk, as available, will find pick-up parcels for this line. (Read: you cannot go into the main room apparently to pick up your parcels.) So, for me, I had told this guy I wanted to send this package Parcel Post to NY. It seemed the cheapest thing online. Thi place is horrible. I came to pick up my packages at the quick service door and it's taken almost 30 min now and nobody has come and answered the door. I've asked for assistance at the front desk because I noticed that there were no people in line and I was ignored, and after the second time told that they were too busy and I was going to have to wait. When I asked for an estimated time they said they didn't know, that I was just going to have to wait. And yet, the line inside cleared out again and we are still waiting at the "QUICK" service door to pick up packages...seriously, WORST service. The mail carrier was outrageously rude to a women who was checking her mail while he was putting Mail into the mailbox. As she was checking the mail he proceed to say things like "What the fuck are you doing?", "Stop smoking that nasty ass shit." (She was smoking a cigarette...he was behind the mailboxes speaking to her through her mailbox hole. I also had a package that could clearly NOT fit in the mailbox, that was marked "left in the box". Which has occurred previously and the packages were never located & resulted in me loosing money! When I asked for the marked off packaged, he handed it to me and said "what you couldn't wait?!" I replied, "No I sure couldn't!" I was tempted to tell him..."Absolutely not because the package never makes it to me!" But decided to hold back. Soon as you walk in, they greet you! Ms. Connie, the sweet black lady with the blonde short hair, greets you and facilitates the line checking to see what you are there for. She was very helpful! Then when you get to the register, they treat you with respect, they ask if you need anything else after finishing up and let you know if you do, they are glad to help. I have lived in several states across the country and this is the first time I have had great customer service experience at a U.S.P.S from walking in to leaving out! Staff is very helpful, courteous, thorough and give excellent customer service. If you need any postal services this would be the place to go..on second thought don't go there, don't need the lines to get any longer :) read more

They say your mail/packages is delivered but you check your mailbox there is nothing there. They will make up any kind of excuse to convince you your mail was delivered. My wife gets notified that we have a package coming to our Post Office the following day. So she goes after work and stands in line. Only to be told it was on its way to the house. So we come home and within minutes the doorbell rings. My girl answers to get a paper slip saying its at the P.O. we just left. Wait it gets better. So the main office is closed. I call the number on the paper we just got. Automated tells me that my call will be on hold approx. 41 mins. Wait it gets better. At 1 hr 11 min I hang up. I can't listen to the same song again for the 900th time. Let me ask you something in case you are wondering why people don't want to use USPS even for packages. This is crazy cause the slip says I have to pay upgraded shipping $20.75. I believe I am already paid $9.00 into the shipping dept. How could United be any part of the name? If that's united there couldn't possibly be a divided. It be so slow that it wouldn't even register to our vision? I can say this if it's a b-day or Xmas close by. I am going to drive the cards/gifts there myself. And I am going to find alternative for everyone too far for me to deliver. Because what am I paying for. When I went to go ask about it and to see if I could find it there, they had me waiting a whole hour and the man that was supposed to go look inside for my package never came back!!! The mail carriers are thieves. They will make up any kind of lie to not deliver your packages. The lies vary from 'no access' just walk down the sidewalk, to 'no secure location to leave the package' just leave it on my porch like you usually do. Worst post office ever. I had my mail here on hold for two months because I was out of the country. When I came back to pick it up, they couldn't find it. I spoke directly to the carrier and he explained to me he never received the hold request. Now my mail is lost and no one at the post office seems to have a clue where it is. First off, the USPS should be ashamed if itself for letting a facility become this run down. Needs paint, dead plants removed and parking lot repairs. Be very careful walking in the parking lot as it is broken in many places and is a definite trip hazard! More than half the time the grass hasn't been mowed in so long the weeds have seed heads on them 18 in. tall. After 20 years of having mail delivered by this PO station without a problem, in the last couple of years, I am routinely missing issues of TV Guide Magazine and 3 other magazines as well plus I'm receiving an increasing amount of mail that isn't mine. Also getting mail that had obviously been misdelivered as the unintended recipient had circled my address and written "please redeliver" on the front. I have a great mail carrier, but the personnel at the station and the Post Master their are totally unhelpful, and not even apologetic! I have heard this station is a teaching station now, but if so, there needs to be some over sight of the trainees, as this place is a disaster. This is absolutely the slowest post office in Houston. Pickup window is supposed to be open at 6:30am. Myself and 4 other people waited an hour after repeatedly ringing the bell and calling the office location only for them to say, we will be right with you and then take another half hour. I received a notice from the post office that I had a package. I wasn't able to go and pick it up because I had a lot going on. I finally make time to go pick up the package a few weeks later and the lady looks at the slip and the date and tells me that it has been too many days and it has already been sent back BEFORE she evens goes to the back to look for it. Of course this annoys me so I told her that before she decides the fate of my package how about she goes to the back and take a look. So she tells me again that she is sure it is not there and she walks to the back. Oh wait what is that I see her bringing from the back....It looks like my package. So she gets me to sign off on the slip and tells me that usually they send it back after fifteen days and that next time I should try to pick it up sooner. I politely grabbed my package and told her that the next time she sees a slip she should do her job and not assume. Oh and I gave her a smile because I am nice. I rarely go inside this run down post office but my main compliant is against the carrier that brings my mail and delivers all of my neighbors mail as I get the wrong mail almost everyday of the week. I've called this post office and reported it so many times but nothing ever changes it seems. I'm tired of redelivering my neighbors mail to them but I'm not getting my mail from whomever is receiving it. I guess they just throw my mail in the trash when the wrong house gets it by mistake. It seems for the amount of money paid to the carrier they could at least get the mail to my house without a problem. I have put up big numbers on my mail box with my street name too just in case they forget which house they are at when delivering the mail but it still has not helped in the least bit. My girlfriend can't even get her birthday card and gift card because it never came from just 20 miles away. Please hire a real mail carrier like Cliff whom does the other side of the neighborhood and is the best mailman they have for section 1 os Sharpstown so we can get the right mail and have a happy carrier that smiles and waves and does the job right 99.0 percent of the time. read more
