I had a very negative experience with this notary service. I was asked to pay in cash, and after arriving I was informed that additional fees would apply because witnesses were not present. I was told I would need to pay extra per witness signature, which was not disclosed upfront. When I questioned these charges, I was told that I would need to "take the risk" since the witness was not present. This explanation felt unreasonable and not aligned with standard notary practices. The pricing structure and requirements were not clearly communicated in advance, and additional charges were introduced during the appointment. Overall, the experience felt misleading and unprofessional due to unclear fees and inconsistent explanations. It gave the impression that the service was not operating with transparent practices and was primarily focused on extracting additional fees rather than providing straightforward notary services. Customer Review - UPS Store, Chantilly, VA I am writing this review to document a deeply disappointing and unsettling experience at this location. I visited the store to return six Amazon items. At the counter, I was handed three receipts covering only four items. When I calmly pointed out that two items were missing from the receipts, the associate became visibly frustrated rather than helpful. After taking time to match the items one by one, it became clear that one of the receipts I was initially given did not belong to me, and my correct receipt had been left on his side of the counter. Instead of acknowledging the mistake professionally, the associate tore up the incorrect receipt, handed me the one that should have been provided earlier, and then abruptly told me "not to come back to the store ever again." I was shocked--not only by the error, but by the tone, body language, and hostility shown during the interaction. I responded that there would indeed be no reason for me to return. What made this encounter especially troubling was the way I was treated throughout the exchange. Based on my appearance and accent, I could not help but feel that I was met with impatience, disrespect, and verbal aggression that I strongly believe would not have been directed at a customer perceived as white, Black, or more "American-looking." The experience felt racially charged and dismissive, and it left me shaken. Mistakes happen. What matters is how they are handled. In this case, the mistake was compounded by unprofessional conduct, a lack of accountability, and behavior that made a customer feel unwelcome and disrespected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. No customer should leave a retail establishment feeling humiliated or targeted simply for asking for accurate receipts for a legitimate transaction. I am confident that this store has interior security cameras. If there is any question about the accuracy of what I have described above, the events of today can be verified clearly through the video footage. Overcharged notary fees and did not communicate what the charges were until it was time to pay. I've completed notarized paperwork consistently at different locations since I'm military. Every location has had the same charge except for this UPS store. I was glad to provide my own witness and found out at the end this store not only charges twice what other stores do, but they also charge the same amount, $10, for my personal witness. $80 for 2 notary stamps, 2 store witness signatures, and my own witness. I asked the agent how much to send a package to Singapore and if the rates were the same as the usps. He told me they were the same and quoted a price of 149 dollars. I thought that was really high so I went over to the Chantilly usps and the package was only 89 dollars. What a huge change in rates. I had used this store many times when doing amazon returns. That experience was great but a store really shows it customer service or lack there of when there is a problem. I took a small ipad in to be mailed to florida. the weight was 3 pounds. it was in a bubble envelope and there was no rush in getting it to the destination. I was told that the charge to mail it in the bubble envelope would be $60.00 but if it was put in a box it would be much cheaper. The postage waa $16.59 but then I was charged for the box and the bubble wrap making the cost $29.00. When the package arrived there was no bubble wrap. when I called he said he would check the camera and call me back the next day. the following week I tried to call and everytime he would tell me he was putting me on hold for a minute and never come back. I finally left him a message letring him know I would be posting a review, then he called me back saying I didnt pay for bubble wrap which was listed on my receipt. He was very rude and not at all helpful. I will never go to that store again. If I had gone to the post office it would hace been about half the price and the customer service could not possibly be worse. read more

This UPS store is located in the Greenbriar Town Center, on the west side of the plaza, around the corner from Marshall's. They offer various shipping and delivery options available, and the staff are friendly. I love that they were able to accept other carriers, such as USPS; even though they are unable to provide a receipt, they are able to ship it out with the rest of the packages for you if it is already pre-labeled. Unprofessional customer service today at Greenbrier UPS store. I dropped off a pre-labeled package for UPS. The clerk, a younger man with a beard, was engaged in a personal conversation with his female coworker and both were standing in the back. When I walked in, I said hello which he ignored, walking to the counter while continuing his conversation about someone's boyfriend's mother's house and how much it was worth. He scanned my package, printed the receipt and handed it to me, all without taking a break in his conversation. He didn't point out the tracking number or otherwise acknowledge me. When I said "thank you" he ignored me, responding "she must be rich," not missing a beat in the the co-worker conversation. So, was the service quick? Yes, there were no other customers in the store. But rude enough to prompt me to write this review, which I rarely do. I stopped there only because the package was pre-labeled for UPS. Otherwise, I use the FedEx store on the other side of the shopping center, where they have excellent professional customer service. So, no, thank you, Greenbrier UPS. read more

The UPS store has a global account with Dyson. So when you go to return/ exchange your vacuum cleaner, or send for repair, all they need is a reference number provided by Dyson and they'll box the machine for you for free. I happened to print the label when I went in and the person at the front, instead of taking two seconds to look up my reference number, started telling me I needed to buy a box since I have a label. He also kept interrupting me when I tried to explain. They finally typed the reference number and after my information populated, shipped my machine for free. read more

This UPS store is the location I use when returning items to Amazon. It's got parking right in front of the store and I can always get a good spot. The staff is always smiling, helpful and efficient. What a rip off. Had a UPS shipment sent to this UPS facility. When I called to tell them a package would be delivered to their location, they told me there would be a $5.00 pick up fee. Each additional day that it was not picked up, it would be an additional &5.00. They called this morning and I picked it up. They charged me $5.00 for the pick up and $5.00 for storage! What a scam! Rudest interaction I've ever had in my life. From the minute I stepped in, nothing went right. I wanted to forward a package that came to me via UPS, but she kept telling me that I needed to buy tape for some odd reason. And quoted me $65 for a shipment that priced out at $35 online at ups.com. I would've shipped it but she was so rude, that I sent the package back to the sender. I would rather deal with the mfg to send a second package than deal with Ms Rudy. She tried to tell me that I had to take the package to some distribution center if I wanted send it back to My 4 year old was looking at cute post cards they had, and she told her not to shift the cards around. I ordered a foamboard sign, invitations, envelopes and mailing labels for an upcoming event. Nahla's suggestions, assistance, and experience resulted in a project that I am proud to use and it was completed in under the estimated time frame. They don't do passport photos here. I wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone bc I needed to get a court document notarized and also get my passport photos taken. I did check their website beforehand to make sure that they did both, so that I didn't waste a trip. The website listed that they did passport photos under "Other Services". They said that the CVS "just" around the corner did passport photos though. I went around the corner to the CVS and it took forever. I also did not read the notary feedback someone left previously for this place, and I hope that it is not the case for this place! Yikes. read more

Terrible store. When I was given a refund, it was minus the fee for the credit card company--I did not receive a full refund. I went to this UPS Store to have my passport picture taken. I haven't gotten a passport in more than 15 years, so was not aware my glasses had to be removed. Upon going to the post office with the pictures and application, I was told I could not use the photo because of the lenses. I had to have another picture taken at the p.o. The postal clerk was kind enough to hand me a flyer with the info regarding glasses, and advised me to get a refund since my picture was unusable. When I returned to the UPS Store, the lady tried first to tell me I could have another picture taken. I explained I'd already paid for another one at the p.o. when I had my appointment. She began to do the refund, but I noticed the refund was not for the total price I paid. I questioned her, and she said it was because of the credit card fees. I stated that wasn't my responsibility and they are the business, I am not. She said again that it was the fee the credit card company charges her and it was only $X amount. I asked why I had to pay it when I am not the business. She had no reply and finished the refund. I would not be so upset if I'd been told of a credit card surcharge beforehand (it's not posted anywhere), or if the fault of the purchase were mine. As it was, the mistake was made by the business for a product I was unable to use. I will not be returning to this place. read more

Could be the worst location to visit if you're looking for quick returns to Amazon. For frequent Amazon shoppers, you'll recognize, "No printer? No problem." The service costs $1 and they'll automatically deduct it from the return. They give you a QR code that you're supposed to show at any UPS location, and the location will provide a label to slap on the box. Problem is, this location wants to charge you an extra $1 for printing the label. You're a shipping store. Why are you charging for labels? My experience with this place after several visits is that this location sucks in the customer service department. It's crazy that this store is so opposite of Amazon's customer centric philosophy. Highly recommend catching another UPS store on the way into the city. There is also another location my the mall that's much more helpful. read more

The store has the fastest service, good communication with the customers, they help me find a good size box for my package and they honestly do their best to accommodate the customer needs. It's a secure place to send and pick up a package. It's a good location for finding easy parking.
