The Edgewater, MD UPS store is an excellent store to use. Additionally, the staff are nice.

I needed to have a lot of documents notarized and was unsure about the process. The Owner, Cathy, was so patient and kind and took the time to explain things to me and made sure everything was completed properly. Their QR code readers wouldn't read my Amazon QR codes, so I couldn't return my Amazon packages. I was told to call Amazon. Useless visit.

Convenient location, very helpful staff and lots of services offered. They do get busy for sure so I try to go during non peak hours.

I had the most wonderful experience and wanted to share. The owner was working and helped me ship an Easter package to my nephews in Atlanta. She went through several boxes to help me find the right size. She was so nice and didn't rush me. In addition to her, there were two other staff working. Tons of people were coming in and out and it was great to see everyone in the line move so quickly. I feel like everywhere I go places are understaffed. I truly had the best experience here and will absolutely come back for all my shipping needs. She even helped with the price and offered a military discount! I have been to this location several times now and have noticed on several occasions where the employee thinks it's okay to just throw boxes from the counter to the floor, it wasn't busy at all. He scanned the box and just threw it, very unprofessional! read more

I came into the store and inquired as to whether the notary was available. They said I had to make an appointment. There was no indication on the website that I had to make an appointment. The young woman and young man just looked at me as if I was crazy. Then I had two pieces of product to return to Amazon. They proceeded to tell me I had to have it in the original packaging that it came through from Amazon. I have never had a problem returning something in the packaging that the product came in not the original mailing packaging. Their attitude was bad And they had no idea how to deal with a customer. I sent a package containing original legal documents via UPS from the Edgewater, MD store. I paid for overnight delivery to a PA State Government recipient. I stressed to the store employees how important the package was and followed their suggestions as to the safest and best way to have this package delivered. The package never arrived. Two days later I'm trying to locate the package and the best answer I can get is that the package was lost and that "Cathy" ( the store owner) will look into it when she returns from a trip out of town. No one seems the least bit concerned or responsible for the situation. The best I can get is a refund. They don't seem to understand that these documents can't be replaced and that a refund is no help at all. I will never use this UPS store again. read more

I wanted to scan 25 years of diaries/journals so I called around to places I found online. The first one said it was too "small" of a job ( 49 journals), the next one said it was too "big" of a job (by the way this was another UPS store in Maryland) and the next one was Pam Kronquist at the UPS Store #5050 in Edgewater. Pam , the owner, said "Sure, we will give it a shot , bring them in". She took a personal interest in it (which made me feel good because they were private and I didn't want too many noses in them) and she gave me regular updates as to the progress. I happily paid .20 cents per page (PDF because there were photos and stickers etc inside) . It ended up being a $1,600 plus job with shredding (might as well if you are going to go digital why keep the books) and I felt Pam was looking out for my project every step of the way. Shipping prices are on the rise and when I have to pay for a package to be sent I cringe at the amount. Luckily this store makes the transaction of removing money from my wallet a very pleasant experience. Everyone is very nice, helpful and the shop is impeccably clean and well maintained. We have used the notary service several times, and all of our experiences here have been excellent. It's nice to have this store in Edgewater. read more

THE MOST INEPT & CARELESS STAFF & OWNERSHIP OF ANY UPS STORE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! I have attempted to utilize this store's service twice in the last 3-4wks, with disasterous results. The first time when I was sending a pkg to Canada. I Asked twice while giving them the shipping info if everything was good to go. They assured it was and took my money (which was almost $50 for less than 2 lbs) They told me wrong as I could not use my PO Box as my return address, which caused multiple delays for my pkg as it traveled to KY and WI. UPS also called me to tell me that THIS UPS store Never transmitted the info correctly to UPS to begin with. So i gave them another chance because i do prefer to support local owned businesses. (BUT The UPS store in Edgewater, deserves NO LOCAL SUPPORT) The second chance was worse. It was yesterday 8/23. I handed them my pkg and paid for it at 9:26am and was given a tracking number.....a tracking number that @ 10:30 am the next day showed a label was created at 7:01pm the day before ??? Whats worse UPS had NO SCAN of my pkg at all....ie: there is no proof it was even picked up not with UPS and not with the store........MY PKG is now lost. All the owner has told me it was picked up by UPS, but she cant prove it!!! ALSO.... The owner claims she's not UPS she is independent of UPS ( dezpite the name of her store, the use of the UPS logo, and her franchise agreement) EWvery,thing it seems she blames on UPS, evene when i remionded her that she took my money, and custodianship of my pkg, anmd it was her responsibility to make sure my pkg was properly handed over to UPS..............FAILED TO DO SO. She won't even admit her failure or bear any of the reasponsibilty. My advice is for all of my fellow citizens her in EDGEWATER MD steer clear of doing business with the UPS Store @ 163 Mitchells Chance Rd, phone 410 956 1282. This franchise needs to be shut down, and UPS needs to find another person to take over the location or open another location all togethjer so we here in Edgewater, can have a reliable business to handle our dealings with UPS read more
