First time at this UPS store and very happy with the service! It was a one man show on a Saturday afternoon and the staff behind the counter ran everything so efficiently. We have a box here and the employee are always so helpful, when you come. they offer notary as well and printing. You can always find parking when you go will try to mail something. They also offer different sizes of boxes for your mailing needs. Mailboxes prices are affordable and they can offer lower rate of paying annually. Over all - I am happy with this place. read more

3 encounters here with Mike. 1st encounter: Tuesday evening at 6:15-6:20 I walk in to pick up a package that was not delivered to my home. My slip says it will be at this location and I received an email stating that the package is ready for pick up. Mike just looks at the slip and says if you just got this today, I don't have the package yet. Come back tomorrow and it will be here. Didn't bother popping the tracking into the terminal or even walking 10 steps to the corner where my package was likely sitting. So I trust this lazy idiot and come back the next day. 2nd encounter-it's 6:40pm and Mike has just pulled down the gate to close up shop. Hours of operation says open till 7. Dude waves me off and I don't get my package. I also left the country the next morning so I had the package relocated for a friend to pick up. 3rd encounter: same situation as first encounter-immediately says my package will not be at the location until the next day. Instead of just believing this lazy idiot, I kindly ask if he would just entertain me and check. With drawn out breath and sigh he says he is certain and guides me to the exterior terminal and says let me show you. As soon as he scans the ticket, he realizes that it states that the package is there, with further reluctance he takes his 10 steps to the corner where my package lives, asks for my name (it's literally on the slip he is holding and on the package at two different spots) which I give him, proceeds to ask how to spell my last name, which I do, then he brings the package over, sets it down and proceeds to validate that my name actually matches what's on the package. He asks for my ID which I hand to him and he says I was confused because of your middle name on your ID. My middle name is nowhere on the slip or the package-pretty peeved at this point so I just signed and left with my package. read more

Visited July 2021. My wife and I needed last minute copies for notary and this business was able to accommodate us with all our needs. Easy access to store as there is a huge shared business parking lot with many handicap stalls. The staff is very friendly here and made our visit efficient and expedient. If we are ever in the area again with this specific need we will drop on by again. read more

As my online shopping has increased over the course of the pandemic, I've found myself frequenting this UPS store for returns to Amazon and other retailers. The employees at this store are always incredibly friendly and efficient. There is a steady flow of customers through the store, but I typically wait no more than 3-5 minutes. Usually, I am able to get in and out in a minute or so. I appreciate how the employees are willing to provide receipts and make the shipping process so seamless. I'll definitely continue to drop by this store and recommend coming here for any shipping needs! read more

Manager is very rude. Not helpful at all. I came in to print out invites for my daughters birthday. Asked if he can print 2 on one page to save cost and he said no he can't do that from his end. I have printed my invites from here in the past and the staff always helped out but the manager basically said sorry I can't. Horrible service. I cringe everytime he is there. Simply put, this store needs a manager who knows how to manage. The only reason I come here is because I can drop off Amazon packages, and it's close to our house. Other than that, I can't expect much. The less I interact with someone here, the smoother things are going to go. This store is supposed to open at 10:00 am every day except Sunday (they're closed on Sunday). Today (4/19/2023) I show up at 10:00 am. The gate is down, the lights are off, and nobody's home. I tapped on the glass. No one came out. Then, at approximately 10:05 am, here comes three staff members waltzing up the sidewalk, seemingly clueless that they are late. Were they at Starbucks? Who knows? If the store opens at 10:00 am, the gate should be up, doors unlocked, and there should be employees at the counter, ready to service their customers. Not 10:01 am, not 10:02 am, not even 10:05 am. There were about seven people standing in line waiting for the place to open up. I don't know if this an everyday occurrence, but it shouldn't be happening at all. I've had better experiences with the girls who work there. They seem more knowledgable and helpful. But there's this one young man who seems less knowledgable and has an excuse for everything. Seems to only want to do the absolute minimum of anything. I don't like his attitude, and it seems to be the same every time I have to interact with him. There should be no reason for this. I told him that he needs to put some packing in there to make the item more secure. He tells me that I can buy some and do it myself. Why? Amazon is approving my return and they are not requiring me to do anything except drop off the package. The UPS Store is supposed to take care of the rest i.e. put the label on, tape the box up and, I believe, making sure the contents are secure before doing so. I don't want the item arriving at Amazon in pieces. There should be no expense out of my pocket for this transaction, nor for wanting the item to arrive intact. I've returned Amazon items here before, and I do recall that the people, who helped me before, actually secured the contents of the box before sealing it up. So what's this guy's excuse? I personally don't feel there's a problem with the staff here. I believe that the manager needs to get more serious about what's going on and work with the staff to achieve more consistent quality customer service, PUNCTUALITY, and going that extra mile for the customer. The only problems you can't fix are the ones you don't know about. Well now you know. Hopefully someone from UPS actually reads this and takes some action. ~RLA read more

The current staff that I have encountered barely say hello and if they say anything else it is in a condescending rude tone. I think I will drove farther to go to postal annex from now on. read more

I needed to drop some thing off for delivery today. So after work, I changed my clothes I checked yelp, hours said I had until 7 PM. Well... the Yelp hours are wrong! They close at 5:30 PM. "Blah blah Covid-19 hours blah blah blah" Most places are back to regular hours, & I saw at least two employees inside, so it can't be for lack of employees. What frustrated me the most is... I am back to working regular hours, so this was my only time to be able to drop off my package. When I walked up to the door, I noticed that they have a sign saying that they are still wearing masks for the public safety and they appreciate if we continue to wear ours. So, I am a considerate person and I return to my car to grab a mask. (At this time, I am not aware of their closing hours. I was still going off what yelp said) By the time I get back to the store and I reach for the door it's been locked. If I had not gone back to my car, I probably would've been able to get in.... because when I looked down at my watch it had JUST ticked 5:32!! I will drive a little bit out of my way to give any future business to a different UPS franchise from now on. read more

I went to this UPS store for one of my returns purchased from Amazon. It was a foldable foam mattress I bought, but we found the firmness did not fit our need. If you bought a mattress before you probably know that it came in a very small package with all air sucked out. But after we opened the package, the mattress gets back to regular size and there is absolutely no way we can put it back into its original packaging. So I brought the entire folded mattress to the store and have them scan the Amazon return code. They asked me if this is the original packaging because it is quite huge. I told them there is no way I can fit it back in because it came really really small. They took a look at inside and was initially hesitate to take it. But eventually took it anyway. Hi, I sent my daughter to mail off a 11 inch by 5.5 inch heart pillow I made and the manager Mike was so rude. He asked her to step aside and helped three other people. Then he proceeded to put the heart in a envelope and charged her cc ehat she thought was 14.45. He charged her 42.53 dollars. When I called him right after he hung up then didn't answer the phone. I emailed him twice and he said he did what she asked him to do. That was a lie. Please owner contact me . I went to monrovia store and asked the same question in mailing my heart that I made and it was just over fourteen dollars. I came in to buy a book of stamps and to drop off an outgoing usps package as the post office had closed for the day. Mind you I've done this several times before. The UPS Store is supposed to take them as a courtesy since they get pick ups daily. The lazy oaf at the counter, Mike, looked at my package and says "Oh, thats a post office packge". I respond with "yes, the post office is closed and it won't fit in the drop box :)". Mike slides my package back toward me and says "What box?" Um, the blue post office drop boxes? Duh. Then he tells me "We don't do that here, you're gonna have to go to the post office". I told him "I've made several usps drop offs here before? Plus the post office just closed." To which I get a blank stare so I took my package and left. Since the associates at the Duarte UPS Store have nothing going on behind their eyes, I guess I'll stick to buying my stamps next door at smart and final. read more

I live in Riverside, (approx. 40+ miles from Duarte) and Mike C. left me a voicemail that a package has been delivered for me and gave me several delivery options. I called and spoke with Marisela C. to inquire about store hours (she was so friendly and most helpful). After talking with her I opted to make the drive to pick it up. Upon arriving at The UPS Store I was greeted by Mike C. and Marisela C. and after a little small talk about the traffic I would face on my drive back home, Mike C. kindly began recommending local dining locations close by for my drive home. I come here often enough, every time I need to a UPS drop off since this location is close by me (also it's hard to find UPS drop off locations). This UPS is located in the Ralphs Market plaza, also located very close to the Curves Fitness and Magic Wok fast food eatery. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. Every time I have been in here, I have always received friendly service. I have never really waited in a long line every time I've been here. There are a small number of P.O. Boxes located right next to the entrance of the store. This store in general is pretty small. Overall, have no problems with this UPS store location and will keep coming until otherwise. read more

The three employees were all wearing masks and were standing 6 feet away from each other.
