This ups store is hands down the best one. There's never a time when it's not busy. But even with the hectic lines and customers, you'll still be given top notch customer service by Corey! He's friendly and very knowledgeable. I had to get a few things photocopied and laminated today. Unfortunately, I had to make 80 copies of the same card but only had one original. Corey was nice enough to help me figure out the easiest and cheapest way to do it. They also ship USPS packages here, so if you don't like to wait at the post office. The ONLY reason I continually come back to this UPS store is solely because of the customer service I receive from Corey. I ship a couple snowboards throughout the year, and every time I've come in, he has always been more than happy to construct me a box or cut a box into a proper size so that I can save some money on shipping something so irregular like a snowboard. I was surprised when I found out he wasn't the owner because the service and attention that I and others have received from him exceeds expectations. Service like this from an hourly wage worker is hard to find. This is how customer service should be, not only at a UPS store, but at any business where customers and employees are interacting. I used to come here all the time when corey was here. I dont know if he went on vacation or what, but the other guy working here is a a-hole. He's so rude. I came in with my own box but didnt have packing tape around the house, and he barks at me that next time he'll make me pay for it. ... well. if he would have just let me know that he charges for tape, I would have payed for it. I don't need to buy a whole roll of packing tape to keep at the house... I'd be happy to pay you a dollar for using a strip once a month. instead of barking at people, maybe you should make charging people a buck for tape a policy. ridiculous. i don't come here to get favors, just to ship packages. I'd make this a one star, but hesitate, in case corey still works here and i went on a bad day. regardless, will probably avoid this place from now on. read more

The common misconception about mail/ups/fedex stores is that the service is mediocre and pricey. Oh who am I kidding, it's mostly true. Mostly. This UPS store is the best mail drop off/mail services store I have experienced. I will drive past both post offices and the OTHER ups store just to come to this one. Corey, who is usually there, is helpful and knowledgeable in his field. The owner is nice and they offer discounts to returning customers and anyone affiliated with UC Davis. It's usually pretty busy in there but the wait is always short and the visits are always pleasant. A plus! read more

This is the best UPS! I usually come here on Monday and Tuesday's after 5PM and the workers on these days are so professional and efficient. The line is never too long. When you get to the register they are very quick and you're out the door in no time. There was only one time that I've seen a line at this hour with probably 6-8 people. The guy who was working was able to gauge which customers could skip the line without being helped which made the line a little bit shorter. He started with the customers who would be quick (30 seconds tops) while those who needed more help stood on the side (I was one of those people). He got to me in a very timely manner. I usually see the same workers and they are always very nice and polite. They always greet me and do what I ask of them very quickly unlike the lady that works at USPS in Davis. I used to dread dealing with returns, but ever since I started coming here, returns have been an absolute BREEZE! The customer service here is just unparalleled; I cannot even put it in words! AMBER and COREY seem to always be working when I come in, and they are both exceptional human beings!!! I always tell them that I can't believe how easy they make everything and how kind and helpful they always are!!! They truly care about each customer and always have a smile on their face -- it is just unbelievable to me! My parents live in another state, and I was on the phone with my mom as she was going to her UPS, and I just started rambling on about how amazing the Davis UPS is and all the things they do, and she replied, "Yeah, my UPS isn't that great..." :P I don't know why I am continually in shock at how wonderful my experiences here always are. Amber and Corey just really do go the extra mile (or ten!) every time, and people like that definitely deserve to be recognized. Very accommodating staff. I was shipping off a concert ticket I sold through Stubhub. I didn't have to pay for shipping because I had a prepaid label but I was about to buy an envelope to ship my tickets in because I didn't have one. Right before purchasing the envelope, the male staff member noticed my Stubhub printout and informed me of the better and free envelope that came with my prepaid label which I would have never known! He also thoroughly answered all the questions I had about my shipment. He provided me with a receipt of my shipment and explained all that to me too. Great service! I was in and out within less than five minutes. I had a shipment that needed to be sent out to Palo Alto and the person who bought my tickets received the package in less than 24 hours even though my prepaid package label only qualified for 2-day air shipping. I was in this store yesterday, it was almost closing, and all of a sudden became very busy, an employee was behind the desk and helping a customer, and while doing so answered the phone that was ringing. He was very professional and nice and it seemed the caller was not very nice at all, I commend him for keeping his cool, being nice and professional, all while continuing to multi-task and help store customers as well. As far as the standards UPS locations go, I believe this one had great service. A worker was busy helping someone out, while the person they were helping was deliberating on a decision the worker saw I was waiting to drop off a package so he extended his arm into my direction, accepted the package and got it ready for delivery before the other customer had mad up her mind. I went to get passports photos. I asked how much it would cost to get extra copies. There was a nice employee but his boss was being a real jerk to him, telling him he was "worried about him" and that he shouldn't have to ask him questions. Then he was being rude to me. The service is great except I wasn't given shipping options on when I wanted my package delivered. The gal marked and shipped it overnight and it was very expensive, and I didn't realize she had marked my package that way until the next day. Have your associates make sure they give you options and ask when you want your package to arrive at destination. read more

I live out of state and spoke with the store as well emailed them the item the store notarized incorrectly. I requested my money to be refunded and was told they would once the owner comes in. Compared to the much maligned other Davis UPS Store, I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited the downtown location on B St. I had a prepaid package, so not much interaction with the counter person but everything appeared as it should at a UPS store. The employee was friendly enough and took my package while helping the guy in front of me so I didn't have to wait. A small assortment of mailing goods are offered and they're open on Sunday. read more

Every time I go in here it seems that DHL tries to stop me from shipping. Well, each time the guys at the UPS store (because they offer DHL service too) always solve my problem and get my package out. Sometimes it is fast, sometimes it is slow but, they are super friendly and clearly doing everything they can to make sure my package is shipped accurately. If I used UPS for anything I would definitely choose them over some of my Sacramento options; I think their customer service really makes it worth it. read more

I pretty much only use Yelp to review food, so if I'm reviewing a non-food place it's for a good reason. Corey has just been completely fantastic both times I was here. The first time I had to mail a package overseas, and Corey told me I could get a much better deal if I just went to the post office and shipped it there, so I went to ship it there instead. I came back here again today because I needed to mail something fast. Overnight shipping was about 30, and Corey told me honestly I could just ship my letter in one day even with regular postage. I don't ever have much of an impression of people that work in customer service type jobs, but Corey is fantastic. Very friendly and honest. Highly recommended. read more
