The lack of parking and difficulty getting in and out of / maneuvering around the room-sized lot is severe enough that I dread going to this location. A very small lot is shared with multiple other businesses, so there are only 2 or 3 spots designated for the UPS store and you have to use those (or park on the street and walk there). read more

They are completely overworked. The online order boxes stack up and then they get someone needing some special shipping service and the line just for a shipping receipt can be 10min. They need more help or Davis needs another ups store to take some of the load. read more

Came here to return my rental books last year and it was a bad experience. I was told that the box I brought with me to return the book wouldn't work, but I did not have another box with me and the employee #1 told me to grab a box off the shelf, that's it. When employee #2 came to help me because employee #1 walked away to do something else he charged me for the box. I was confused because employee #1 did not tell me how much the box was, but just told me to go grab it. Of course I don't mind paying $2 for a box, so I told him that employee #1 should have told me how much the box was when he told me to get it. Now this is why I am giving them only 1 star, instead of apologizing and accepting that there was miscommunication or that the employee had not told me the pricing and just told me to grab the box, he said "he did tell you, I heard him". First of all, how can you hear him when you were helping someone else?! I said no... I didn't hear him say it, but he insisted I was wrong and made me feel very uncomfortable standing there. Instead of defending your buddy you should just agree that the customer is always right. I'm never coming back here again, I would rather go to a UPS store further away. read more

I have used this store many times in the past for notary service. Corey has always been extremely helpful. Today I ran into terrible service, so BAD that I will never return. Amber Ramos attempted to work as notary today but did not listen to verbal instruction or read the single sentence instruction on the form to be notarized. After botching the document she states " I didn't read it. You owe me 15$." Her condescending and demeaning behavior is unbecoming of any person who works in customer service. I highly recommend going to the many other notaries in Davis. read more

I always have a perfectly pleasant experience when I have to ship something. Much much better than the post office who treats everyone terribly. It's a little further from me personally but I always make the trip versus going to USPS because they're much nicer and it's almost always less busy. read more

This UPS store needs an improvement with customer service. I send care packages to a friend from time to time and next time I send one, I will go to a different store. First time I sent one from here, it took the postal worker at the front desk 4 times to get the right address down. Next package I sent to my friend, I gave them all of the correct information but they forgot to put the actual address in so my package was delayed and I had to call them up and give them the address yet again. Service is very polite, but ineffective. Not coming back here again. read more

This UPS store has the best customer service. The guy that works there is always really helpful and pleasant. And I recently figured out they will also send your regular mail by just weighing the package and affixing some stamps to it. This is a huge convenience considering that the lame Davis post office on 4th st now is only open like 4 hrs a day, and there is always a long line out the door. read more

I kindly asked to use some tape for my package real quick. The package was the size of a shoe box. This mildly young looking employee gave me a snobby "Yeah for a dollar you can." remark. I asked him if he was joking. He said nope. For some reason I wasn't willing to pay a dollar for a few pieces of tape and kindly told the guy to f*** off. I went up the road to another shipping place and not only was the tape free, they have it placed on the counter for all to use. Oh and the parking lot in this place is dreadfully small. I have NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE been spoken to in the manner The MANGER just spoke to me. I walked in and had a pre packaged label and asked if they had an extra box to ship my shoes in. The MANAGER responded saying it would be 4 dollars for a box, I laughed and thought he was joking. His reply was a complete head eye roll an asked me if I " had ever done this before? is this my first time ever shipping a package, we done just give boxes!" and I said no this was not my first time, could I possibly just use one of the free post office boxes is response was " clearly that answer is self explanatory, no you cannot have a post office box we are ups" I told him he didn't have to be rude and he said I was arguing with him at every turn there were 5 customers behind me and do you want to ship the package or not?!! mind you this entire interaction took all of 3 minutes at the most. I have never ever experienced having someone in a managerial position interact with a customer this way. read more

Wonderful service with such efficiency! I had to ship a few heavy equipment for my company and decided to bring it to this store so they will help me pack and ship. We ran into some complications and I ended up having to come back again the next day. Amber was the one who helped me out both times and she was patient and did an awesome job packing our 20k equipment. Although I didn't get a chance to work directly with Corey, he was very helpful when I called in with some questions. All in all, definitely recommend swinging by here for your shipping needs. Parking is limited and quite crowded, smack dabbed in the middle of downtown Davis but just come in during the mornings, early afternoon and you should be fine! Thanks again! read more

I've been here a few times to ship but the service is not great. Because there is only 1 person staffed, I had to wait 20 minutes to ship my package! This was on a late Saturday afternoon and so everyone else was closed. They have tried to help me and another customer at one time, but this just gets confusing and frustrating. I don't think it made the other customer feel better because it was a notary. And notaries should be done carefully. Plus they don't accept drop-offs or packages using my account. They told me to go to Sac. Well, actually, I could just go to Parcel Dispatch PDQ on 2nd and F Street. PDQ is always way more helpful - they can take drop-offs, own accounts and there's no waiting EVER! read more

i live a couple blocks from the Davis main post office, but if i have to ship a package, i pedal to town to ship it UPS. Corey and the other folks at the UPS store are super efficient and knowledgeable. i can pretty much bring anything i need to ship in varying states of "ship-ability" - boxed and sealed/ boxed/ needs stuffing and tape/ just the item. Corey and crew know exactly what to do and they do it fast and well. i can zip in and zip out, drop something with the UPS store and know it will be shipped correctly. great service! read more

First of all, I was overpriced for a small 0.8lb package that I had to send to another part of california. $20 for a small thing. Next, the clerk that helped me out was not very friendly and ended up completely messing up the address. As a result, my package is lost in the mail because the address is invalid. I don't think I will be using this UPS store again. read more

I shipped a few boxes to Pennsylvania via this UPS store, some by UPS, some by USPS. I was very happy with the service by Corey at the time of shipping. When two of the boxes arrived mangled by the post office, I called Corey and he basically said "too bad, should have used UPS." Corey charged $96 for $40 in actual postage, and he was evasive about it. He said, "Would you ask these questions if you bought a car? This is a retail store." I doubt that he would want to be compared to a used car salesman. The store charged more than a 100% markup to ship via USPS, supposedly to check the boxes, add extra tape, etc. This service is really not worth it. I'll go straight to the post office next time. read more

The best place in town if you want to ship packages. Corey is super fast and knowledgeable and understands the exact needs of the customer and provides the best possible option. Very nice staff. Alex was very nice and even stayed extra to help me with that I needed. I didn't end up shipping something because I was not sure if I had the correct address but he was very nice and patient even though they were already closed at this particular time. Avoid this place. Rude, rude workers, no customer service. Good luck if UPS loses your package because you have to deal with them. They are a franchise so if you call the UPS main number they refer you back to The UPS Store to voice your complaints and concerns to be taken care of. It took 3 whole months to have these people cooperate and send the paperwork so my refund could be processed by UPS. We went in the store 7 times and received very rude responses each time. I give them a minus 5 stars for customer service. Had to call their corporate office to get them to cooperate and then it took 5 more calls to get them off their asses to do their job. A formal complaint was filed with the franchise corporate office abaout this store. The corporate office were the people who helped us out for the lost package and reimbursement because these people don't know the meaning of customer service. GO TO THE OTHER STORE IN DAVIS or the POST OFFICE. read more
