Stay away from this place. Zero stars. Horrible customer service. The employees behind the counter were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the entire process. We had several packages shipped and held at this location. Before they arrived, we provided the dimensions of the boxes and were quoted a specific pickup fee. When we came to retrieve the packages, we were charged double the amount we had been quoted, with no reasonable explanation. To make matters worse, after paying the unexpected charges, I was left to wheel all of the boxes out myself. The employees stood by and did not even offer to help open the door. I used to love this location when it had the old manager and staff. Unfortunately, since the change in management in these last couple of weeks, the experience has gone downhill fast. The new manager and staff come off as arrogant, unhelpful, and clearly selective about who they choose to assist. It's especially disappointing to witness this kind of behavior in a place where the staff themselves are minorities. Customer service used to be a strong point here -- now it's nonexistent. I needed to get an email printed out and then have it signed by a notary. I called a day ahead of time and they picked up their phone and gave me the time of day. When I went in the store the staff was prompt, courteous, and professional. It was a smooth process that I was grateful for. It may be odd to feel this effusively about a shipping location, but I do a fair amount of shipping (mostly dropping off USPS packages) and I'm so grateful I can go here instead of the post office. Not only is it more convenient (location, longer hours) but, whereas a trip to USPS is abt as joyless and impersonal as a trip to the DMV, this UPS store has the personal feel of a neighborhood mom n' pop. The people who work here are so personable and helpful. One time I submitted an online print job for some shipping labels and when I got there, they had gone ahead and placed them into label slips for me. It's those kinds of things that make for a wonderful customer experience. Plus they're dog-friendly and have treats at the ready! read more

If I could give them a negative review I would. I order two items off amazon which was directed to this access point for delivery. I received a notice from Amazon with the tracking numbers indicating that both had been delivered to this UPS Store and was ready for pickup. In the past, I routinely have packages delivered to this store and each time noticed that the manager/owner had a seriously nasty attitude and was short tempered. However, I always tried to be pleasant because I believe you get further with honey than you do with vinegar. Well, up until today it worked. In the past, I had also been told that my packages weren't there when in fact they were. So today, when I went to pick up my packages, I was told that only one of the packages was there. When I insisted that the tracking showed both packages had been delivered true to form he became hostel and nasty. He kept insisting that I call UPS, stating he didn't care what the tracking information said and it wasn't his problem. Well, I in turn became nasty because he was so dismissive and disrespectful. I kept telling him that the tracking information showed my package had been delivered there. He ordered me to leave threatening to call the police. Really? Then, he threatened me saying he would never accept any of my packages again and when I requested the owner's name, contact information and his name, he refused to provide me with either. He was the nastiest, most condescending person I have ever had the misfortune of coming across. Well, you don't have to worry, I will never patronize your business again!! I ended up calling Amazon. They could not replace the order because it was no longer in stock but did agree to give me a refund and apologized for the UPS manager's/owner's behavior! read more

I've relied on Lloyd for years to handle shipping from the big Chicago auction houses. He's shipped everything from large items via freight to art to fragile pottery. I actually buy more from the Chicago auctions because I know I have a shipper who always packs properly (everything is overpacked and I've never had damage) and the prices are more than reasonable. This shop is the best I've worked with and I've used a lot of shippers. And Lloyd is always courteous and a pleasure on the phone. read more

Always with a huge smile on his face and an "I actually mean it" hello! By far the worst UPS. Went in today with 8-9 packages, most of which marked with red fragile stickers. Only worker at the store slams the boxes on his scale then throws the boxes on the floor beside him or even across the room towards the pile of other mishandled packages. I watched in awe as this was going on and again as he did this to the packages of other customers. At one point, I even helped straighten out a pile of packages as it was clear that they were about to fall over. What's wrong with this guy? This ups store is always helpful, friendly, and efficient. Covid 19 and all the on line ordering has really put pressure on Amazon employees, ups, fedex and others. Truly returning things to Amazon has become so easy. I cannot thank this store enough for the pleasantries shown every time I go In there. I live right next door to this UPS store and use it occasionally. I was compelled to write a review after shipping a gift for my niece the other day. Lloyd was exceptionally professional and helpful and just made the experience enjoyable. I was shipping an odd shaped gift box and he found a cardboard box in the back for me, and didn't charge me! I'm done sending packages via USPS due to the horrible, slow and rude service that appears to be commonplace at every location I've used in the past. updating my two earlier reviews. So here is the story and where we are at now being 4/7/18. On 12/21/17, I shipped frozen Chicago pizzas overnight to AZ for Christmas presence. I spent $317.94 to overnight the pizzas. UPS took two days to deliver and the pizzas spoiled. The next week I reached out to the UPS store for a refund. You would think this would be a simple process. I have always received good service from this store but this was a complete debacle. The manager informed me it was UPS's fault and we needed to wait for them to approve the refund. After weeks of inquiring about refund, the owner finally emailed me on 2/20/18 to offer me a refund. I responded back on 2/22/18 requesting an additional $100 as that was what the package was insured for (contents spoiled were over the $100). I did not receive a response. I emailed again on 2/28/18 I did not receive a response. I emailed again on 3/8/18 I did not receive a response. I emailed again on 3/20/18 I did not receive a response. I emailed again on 3/26/18 Later that day, I received a push notification on my phone that my credit card was charged $317.94 from the UPS store? I sent yet another email letting them know my card was charged not credited. A few minutes later, I finally received an email from them. No note, no "I apologize" but a pdf of two receipts. One for charging my card $317.94 and one for a refund of $635.88. I'm not sure why they had to charge my card. Maybe a mistake...then reach out to me and let me know. So now it's 4/7/18 and my card has been charged and I still haven't received any refund. So now 106 days into this process...I have not received a refund for the services I paid for. Also, the store charged my credit card an additional $317.94. I have always received great service from this store and I'm sure you will to. You better hope nothing happens to your package. I highly suggest using fedex. They take care of customers much better. read more

I dropped off a package to be mailed to Verizon and it mysteriously never got there. There's nothing that can be done and guess what, I have to pay for the product even though I returned it! Make sure you receive your receipt when dropping off to ensure you're not held responsible. read more

The staff in this store is wonderful. Its always a joy to see them even if I am just passing by they wave as if we are really neighbors (I work across the street from them). Lloyd the manager is always helpful about what services ups can provide to me when sending and receiving packages. I wish that they did money orders since no currency is near by but hey a girl can remain hopeful. We stopped in here earlier this week to get some holiday gifts shipped out. We had three packages going to three different locations, and each needed to be boxed up. When we arrived, their UPS driver was finishing up loading his truck, and would be heading out within minutes. The employees at this shop worked together to get our packages prepared to go out so that they could make it onto his truck and get sent out that night rather than the next day. They were friendly and informative. The store was unbelievably clean. Best of all, when we got home there was a voicemail from them confirming that our packages made it onto that truck and that we could track the shipments starting the next day. I don't think I'll ever go back to the Bucktown UPS store on Milwaukee again! Not that those guys aren't nice, but it is always a zoo in there. This experience was so much more pleasant. read more
