Thank you Mi-Te printing! I was at my wits end with trying to find a printer. Between online printers, local design/printers and all sorts of options in between, it was difficult to decide on the right option. At the last second when I had planned on doing something else, I yelped for printers and found Mi-Te. I walked in without calling ahead or having anything resembling an appointment and about 30 min before they closed for the day. They were not phased by the late hour or all of my questions. We were recommended to Mi-Te (pronounced "mighty") Printing from my wife's cousin in which they used for their wedding back around 2012 in which they worked with Terri and were very happy with all the work they have done for them. We selected to work with Mi-Te Printing for our wedding invitations, programs for our wedding ceremony, menu cards and place cards. They even helped us with our favor giveaways as we included a thank you note to our guest on that giveaway. They have very good pricing options and can be flexible with many budgets which is a plus. Mi-Te provided proofs so you can sign-off on them if they are good to go or request any changes if there are any. They have really good turnaround times as well. We met with Terri and she is amazing to work with. She is very responsive and works truly hard at what she does. They have a great and close knit team there. Mi-TE Printing has been around for a long time and they are professionals and experts in what they do. Terri was such a big help in giving us ideas and options with designing our print request especially the invitations. My father recently celebrated his 80th birthday, and because it is not often that one happens upon his four score birthday, I decided to throw him a party for the ages. You know, formal invites and all that. As the kid is still recovering from "the recession" I had to do everything on a strict budget. I thought I would design and print the invites myself. Ha! Fat chance. Graphic designer, I ain't. I remembered that I had passed by this place, located near my job, many times. I couldn't even remember the name of it, just that I knew the sign said something about graphics and invitations. I'm so glad that I retraced my steps and went inside. All of the invitees loved how classy the invites were, and little did they know I was able to do it without breaking my very small bank. What a great business! I wanted to have an art print made for framing, and I contacted three companies who each had great Yelp reviews. Terri at Mi-Te Printing responded to my e-mail right away and was very customer-oriented from the beginning. I had some concerns about the resolution of the image, and she offered to print a version to show me what it was going to look like. She told me to come in any time to see it. Impressive! When I went in, Terri was super personable and very helpful. All the employees present were really nice. They get bonus points, too, because I brought a baby with me and they were all really friendly to the two of us. It's some kind of a litmus test to bring an infant into a work environment that doesn't see a lot of tiny people, and the employees here passed with flying colors :) I can't imagine a place with nicer people or better customer service than what I saw this morning. Terri showed me a couple different options, printed out a final copy while I waited - which only took a few minutes - and gave me a product with which I am absolutely thrilled. Mi-Te is amazing. I came in needing laser calligraphy for just two envelopes. I had been a couple places prior who refused my order because it was so small. Terri was super kind and professional and had my order ready in one day. We use MITE at our work for printing labels, letterhead and POs - and I could not recommend them enough. Tim is the person who helps us. He keeps track of our PO numbers (so I don't have to) and the stationary we need is always sent promptly to our doorstep. Our stationary orders are usually ready within a week of ordering, and the proofs for the orders are usually sent to us the same day I place the order. I went here after I went to Noteworthy Notes on Halsted. I decided to use Mi-te because Terri was so warm and kind from the beginning of our meeting and it wasn't about charging me extra for every little thing. She took 2 hours to meet with me and go over different choices from letter press to thermo and we looked at different books and different colored paper and ribbons. I told her I wished my fiancee was with me so I could get his opinion. Terri took out the pages from her book and listed all the pricing for each thing item, how great is that? I was able to go home and show my fiancee all the different options and the very next day we both went back to Mi-Te and went over what we liked and what we wanted changed. Terri sat down with both of us for at least an hour and a half until we finally had decided everything. She was great and so easy to work with. We changed the color papers on the invites and ribbon colors and the cut of the invite and it was never an issue and Terri didn't seem irritated or annoyed. I explained to her that I need the invitations in a week and a half because my MIL wanted to take some with her when she visits her family and my invites were done a day earlier than what Terri estimated. They turned out really nice. I got my invites with a ribbon going across it, replies and envelope liners from her for such a good price. Terri is friendly and is always smiling and she listens to what the bride's needs are. She kept me calm even though I was concerned about the timing and throughout the printing process, she replied to my emails right away. Great customer service and great pricing! I recommend Mi-Te without reservation. A few Fridays ago I needed a bunch of name tags on short notice. Kinkos gave me a ridiculous quote and expected me to wait several days. On a friend's recommendation I called Mi-Te. The owner Tim answered the phone, and after a brief conversation and a few emails he had the job set up. A few hours later I picked up the name tags; cut and sorted and perfect, and all for well under the price Kinkos quoted me. Tim and his wife and staff are knowledgeable, helpful, nice, and completely accommodating. I went back for business cards and got the same excellent service and quick turn around, and again for a reasonable price. Very good customer service. Very quick. Quality work. I needed some business cards for a project, quickly. They weren't fancy and didn't need any custom foil/stamping/etc. so the job was pretty quick and easy. Mi-Te got back to me with a quote within an hour after I submitted my inquiry online. I stopped by their shop so they could show me some samples of their card stock, etc and finalize the design. They had my cards ready for pickup the next day which was great. We ordered multiple things (wedding programs, signage, and gift bag inserts) from Mite Printing in Chicago (Loop location) and they did a great job at a reasonable price. Only one issue is that we had all our stuff packaged and mailed for our destination wedding and one of our packages got lost, however, Mite Printed responded quickly and was able to overnight reprints to arrive in time the next day. I did a Google search for printers in Chicago and Yelp was high up on the hit list. After reading the reviews for several printers, I contacted Mi*Te Printers. I had a rush job. I needed 200 copies of a glossy handout for a tradeshow. I couldn't deliver the file to Mi*Te until Monday afternoon and needed the finished pieces by Tuesday mid-day. Tim didn't even bat an eye. When I called on Tuesday morning to see how the job was doing, they were already done. He had them sent by messenger to my hotel and that was that. The price was more than reasonable for four-color, digital printing, with a short timeline. I'm not based in Chicago, but if I ever need to do printing there again, I will go back to Mi*Te, no question. read more

I got all the addresses printed on my wedding envelopes from here. I wasn't very happy with my experience. The fonts on my envelopes didn't match, I was charged a ton of money, and they took forever to get everything done. I really wish I just went to a calligrapher to write them all out. If you are planning a wedding and need someone to do ALL your stationary then go to Mi-Te! Teri was so amazing and worked with me for 5 months. They did everything from my invitations, menus, itineraries, place cards, thank you cards, drink signs, and tote bags for my destination wedding in Cabo! They will do anything you ask and custom anything you want. She is so quick to respond too! Having a wedding in Mexico with most of your vendors being down there is rough since they are usually so slow to respond to emails. Teri was such a breath of fresh air. I gave her a budget and when I told her I liked something she would tell me it would be over before going into detail. That is nice as a lot of wedding vendors show you the most expensive stuff so you will give in. She would help me with shortcuts to keep cost down. I truly loved working with her! She was by far my favorite wedding vendor! Towards the end of my wedding planning I moved to California and still was able to work with her and have everything shipped to me. She created a theme for my wedding and everything flowed and matched but all had their own creative tweak to it. She was so generous with her pricing as well and went above and beyond to make us happy. She made my place card signs with sticks that would come out of a lime in a shot glass and she glued everything together and when I got it in the mail some were fallen apart so she resent them to me overnight. Short version: the job was printed wrong and was late; MiTe accepted no responsibility and instead blamed me and insulted my intelligence. Shamefully bad work, infuriating customer service. Long version: The job - I had a very simple 1 color, no bleed, double sided invitation for them to print, including blank envelopes and 1 color postcards. The postcards were correct; everything else was screwed up. And the whole job was delivered late. This was bad enough, as they were wedding invitations and, as with most weddings, the deadline was very tight - basically, the invitations were ruined and we had no time to fix them. The problem - the print shop for some stupid reason offset one side a half inch from where it should have been (this means they did not even look at the files I provided). I've been a designer for 20 years, I double checked the files, they were correct - the printing was wrong. Secondly, they sourced envelopes that were the wrong size. If you're not familiar with the print world, these are A9 envelopes and they are not difficult to find. There's no excuse for this error. It gets worse - Now I've got bad invitations and an upset bride and my own stress at having delivered this mess. My reputation is hit, my bride is frustrated, the printing is late, and we can't fix it before the wedding. Fun stuff. So when I pointed out the above errors to MiTe, they told me that I hadn't included crop marks in the file, that the error was mine. This was just a plain lie - the crops were there. It also insults my intelligence because they seem to think I'm too stupid to either have included the crop marks or to double check that I had (I did and I did). They also tried to tell me that the job which was promised on a Wednesday and not completed until Thursday at closing time was done on time. And to top it off, they blamed me for not calling on Wed. to check. Really? If I had called when it was due, it would have somehow magically been finished, even though it wasn't finished until a day and a half later? That's insulting. The solution - hey, business owners, when you screw something up, APOLOGIZE and REFUND - it's not that hard. But MiTe instead blames and insults the customer for its own failures. I had wanted this shop to be a good resource for me, but it turned into a nightmare. (Btw, I tried to resolve this privately, to no avail, so here's the crappy Yelp review - you asked for it, MiTe). read more

I used Mite to print my invitations, and then went back to them for my programs, menus, and place cards. Terri was so easy to work with and responded promptly to phone calls and email inquiries, and it was easy to pop in the shop during their business hours to do drop-offs and pickups. They were also really flexible with me bringing in my own paper, and printed a few samples for me so I could see my choices before making a final decision. It was really easy to email PDF files, as I had designed our various stationary using templates I purchased off Etsy. And, after using them for my invitations, they did give me a few coupons for day-of stationary, which I really appreciated. I think my favorite thing that I had printed with them ended up being our place cards - Mite printed them, had them cut, and made a pre-fold mark for easy folding on the day of our wedding. Mi-Te is a family shop, Terri and her husband run it, along with a couple of their kids and few other employees.
