#59 of 2017 Needed to get illustrations printed to display at the convention show. I needed a professional job. I needed a shop specializing in graphic design that understood the production process on our end without knowing our industry. When I walked in here I was overwhelmed with the old retro elements like a mimeograph, type set machines, beaten and worn solid wood furniture from the turn of the century. I felt I was more in a museum than a print shop. I got the warm fuzzies, and that's good. David was able to help us to 100% satisfaction. He understood our concerns and needs. He also explained we could use another type of paper he carries to improve our product quality. And the price was very competitive to what I've paid. When I saw the final product I was very pleased. So glad to find someone knowledgable, customer friendly and could take care of our rush job in the 2hour time limit. What ever your printing project is don't mess around. Talk to David to get straight shot answers. Get the job done right with the people who have learned from the past to better provide the needs of today and lead the way to new technologies tomorrow. They do work wirh 3D printers. read more

After D&R Press was highly recommended to me by a co-worker several years ago, I have trusted Dave and Daryl with a variety of sign needs. From sending a portfolio of sample materials to promptly sending beautiful and detailed proofs and prototypes of my projects, D&R Press has made creating custom signs a straightforward, transparent, and timely endeavor. For our most recent project, I simply sent them photos of a sign I wanted to emulate and provided my own dimensions and desired alterations, and they sent multiple prototypes and options based on their extensive (decades of) experience and expertise. I was very impressed that only from a couple photos they knew exactly the materials and manufacturing methods required to replicate the sign. We purchased many versions of the final product, each one unique, and it came out perfect, and I believe at a fair price. read more

Dave, Daryl, Justine and Tomas comprise one of the Very Best Customer Orientated Teams I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We have only been a customer for approximately six months and I am a huge fan. I used to worry about every project, but my confidence level with D&R has made my worries a thing of the past. "Measure Twice, Cut Once..." an Old School concept wrapped up in the latest technology. I can't say enough about how great everyone at D&R performs & delivers. A Huge 5-Star Salute to the D&R Team! read more

Very pleased with my experience at D&R. They were fast and produced a high quality mug for me. Daryl was very patient and helpful, working until the job was done right. read more

I specifically was searching sublimation prints on hoodies for personal merchandise and was led to believe this company could provide such services. It could be considered my mistake for not verifying if they do or do not use the sublimation process before paying their invoice. The product I received was not what I was looking to complete, nor what I asked for and in fact was looking to avoid entirely (heat press printing). I believe because of their extended knowledge of printing processes beyond my own they figured I wouldn't be able to tell the difference and went ahead in overcharging me for a process cheaper than the one I was seeking. read more

We used D & R Press to print my daughter's wedding envelopes. They did an outstanding job. Justin sent us the proofs quickly and the final product was to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend D & R Press for any printing job that you need. We will use them again when we need something done...Thank you to all staff who helped us!! read more

D&R Press surpassed my expectations tenfold. I had called around looking for quotes to get our wedding invitations. Daryl was very responsive, professional and willing to work with our budget. He was candid with his feedback on the invitations I designed. Justine put the finishing touches, which really made our reply cards amazing. Since I really wanted thermography printed invites, both Daryl and I were a little concerned about how it would look for the image I chose. He invited me to come in for a test print and review the result before they printed the rest of job. We were both pleasantly surprised by how great they turned out. Our family and friends loved our invites! I highly recommend D&R Press for your printing needs. read more

Professional, affordable, and talented is how I would describe D and R Press. They have handled everything from our logo design and creating graphics for wine pours and t-shirts, to basic printing needs. Our menus, letterhead, business cards, and postcards are all from D and R Press. Small or large job, it doesn't matter. The team listens and makes results happen. Daryl, Dave, and Justine are amazing! Janet, Proprietor 3rd Coast Cafe and Wine Bar read more

These guys are the best! Honest and experienced. They will treat you right and help you get the best result. You can't bring them something they haven't seen. No print shop does everything- but D&R has a way of making you feel like they do! Thanks! read more

Came into town with my business cards. They got me sorted in less than a day despite me placing the order after hours. Highly recommended and great work! read more

D&R is the perfect print shop--everyone there is very professional with clients, but it has a warm and inviting "family" feel. Probably the best quality of this business is that you can be as involved or uninvolved in the design and print process as you like, and the product will be measured to fit your budget, style, purposes, and timeline. If you want to do the design, layout, color pallet, etc., the staff here will invite you to work right along with them step by step. If you are here because you need someone with expertise to put something phenomenal together for you, D&R has excellent graphic design and press professionals who will gather intel about your desired final product and create a blueprint for you that they'll tweak until you feel it's phenomenal. I used this company for all of the paper products involved in my wedding: save-the-date cards, invitations, programs, signs, guestbook cards, thank-you cards, and wedding announcements. In my case, these were really piece-y, unconventional print materials, and D&R knocked the whole project out of the park. Ultimately, this is a very honest business with excellent turnaround time, quality of product, and customer service. I will continue to use them for my needs, professional and personal, for a long time to come. read more

D&R press designed and printed our wedding invitations (Invitation, RSVP, and envelopes). They had a wide range of paper options and design options, but we decided to create our own design with Justine (one of the designers). Justine worked with us through many different mock ups until we found the one that we LOVED! We are located in Wheeling IL so we appreciated the opportunity to design and communicate with the D&R team over the phone and via email so we didn't have to stop by the office at every step. D&R Press also printed guest names and addresses, return addresses, and a design on the envelopes as well. The staff is friendly and eager to help out. Dave is great! Strongly recommend! read more

WOW! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company! I have had two jobs completed by D & R. The first was a book- an art book- that was scanned, printed and hard cover bound a few years ago. The results were amazing and professional. The book turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I was concerned about the artwork losing quality and definition by being scanned in and it actually looked better scanned than in person! The other project was a recent holiday gift that of course, I waited until the last minute to get printed. Daryl and the team came through and not only got it done on time, but a few days early. Wonderful people, wonderful work. My next job will be flyers and business cards for my business because I saw samples there and they already looked better than something ordered on-line. I am thrilled with my experience here!!! read more

Our company has just ordered cards for the first time and I must say it was a great experience. They were quick on helping me with any questions and doubts that I had and also very quick on relaying feedback status. There service is very reliable and I will Highly recommend this company to other associates in our area. By the way the cards were made very professional and the colors were on point. read more

I have used D&R for two different projects now for work. The first was a graduation program and the second was a more complex project. I needed small pocket phone cards created that were laminated. We had done these in-house previously but I'm so glad we went with D&R this year! The staff was very PATIENT as I think we made edits about five times after the first proof was given to us. Every time, the staff made the correction and sent another proof (it was a mistake on our end each time, not theirs). Our document also came out blurry and the staff was able to enhance the font so it looked perfect for a small extra fee. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is outstanding. read more

Highly recommended! Dave, Daryl, and Justine all really went the extra mile for me and my company who had very last minute needs for a local convention. I am incredibly grateful for everyone's hard work and excellent attitudes throughout the process. They did an amazing job! read more

David and Daryl were a pleasure to work with. They made our wedding invitation process as painless as possible. They were patient with us and wanted us to be happy each step of the way. They made sure we loved everything about the invites and corrected anything we didn't like 100%, no matter how minor. Our wedding invitations turned out awesome and we absolutely loved them. I know where I'll go anytime I have printing needs! read more

D & R Press really helped me out today! I needed to scan a document and email it to someone pronto - and my printer was not working! I'm new to the area and had no idea where to go to get this done. I remembered seeing D & R's storefront, as they are located near my condo on W Grand Ave. I figured it was a rather odd request, but thought maybe for a fee they'd do it. Well, I walked in and told Ray my situation. I think I must have seemed a little frazzled, because he told me, "Sure we can do this. Go ahead and have a seat." I was in and out of there in no time at all, and Ray didn't even charge me! Most places would have come up with SOMETHING they could have charged me. It was SO kind of them! If I ever need any print work done, I will definitely be making a trip back to D & R! read more

After knowing the quality and people at D&R Press, I didn't think twice on where I would get my nieces Quinceañera invitations printed...there was no viable option coming close to D&R. ONCE AGAIN, they delivered and I'm super stoked with the results. They are every bit as attentive and detail oriented as they were the first time and had amazing response times. It would take them a day and sometimes just a couple of hours to respond. That's a HUGE help when you're tight on time. After I placed my order, it only took 3-4 days before they were ready for pick up!! This time around I got to work with Dave, which I'm pretty sure I drove nuts with all the quote requests and changes. But, he remained every bit the courteous professional. After seeing that my original request was slightly out of my budget, they were quick to ask what my budget was so that my original plan could possibly be tweaked in order to fit in my budget. How AWESOME is that?!?! I was relieved to work around some minor changes so that I didn't have to change my design much. You will NEVER find that kind of help ordering invitations or other printed material online! I got the joy of working with Justine again, the art director, once again, coming through and adding the special touches that just created the prettiest Quinceañera invitations a little girl could ask for. She jumps right in and gets on board with your vision. There isn't anything I asked that she wasn't able to do. Theres just no substitution for the one on one and personal design time they give their customers. You're not another order in their queue, you're their valued customer and they really DO care that your vision of an invite or printed material is created to look it's best. I'm actually hoping to help out some friends and family in the future with their invitations because it just great working with this place. read more

My Fiance and I used D & R Press to design and print both our save the date and wedding invitations. We couldn't be happier with the finished products! The staff at D & R is very welcoming, friendly, and professional. They worked very hard to ensure that our job was completed in a timely manner, adjusted time and time again to our specifications and, above all, worked within our budget! We loved the fact that the company is family owned and operated. We were given a tour of the press shop and it gave us a history and appreciation for the work that goes into some of these print jobs. We will continue to use D & R Press in the future and would highly recommend you do the same!!! read more

They charged a lot of money for work that is not adequate. I have some of the work that they did for me that I hate but will use them because of all the money I spent with them. A lot of it, I already threw away. They would have charged even more to redo it. I am hoping to go through the work that they did ASAP and then take it to someone else to redo. Waste of money. Do not go there. I will be very careful where I go next time. read more

I brought some documents there for some simple corrections. In moving the pages, they end up with a document full of typos that I end up passing out that way to people. I had only reviewed the areas that they were supposed to change. I will never go back there. (Incompetent designer). They never bothered to read over all the changes that they had made. read more

I have printed several times with D and R Press and have always been very satisfied with the results. They are a local business and I am always ones to support that. Their staff is friendly and responds quickly to emails and phone calls. The prices are reasonable and the printing quality is fantastic. Turn-around time on projects is quick and delivery is an option which I perfect for me since I live in the city. The graphic artists work closely with me to make sure that the proofs are exactly what I want and everything is to my liking before printing. I will continue to use D and R for all of my printing needs. I highly recommend them. read more

I normally don't write reviews but Daryl and his team are so AWESOME that they truly deserve my 5-star review. I worked with them on all my wedding stationery recently. Daryl was very professional and responsive throughout the entire process. Their prices are very reasonable. Most importantly, they will work with you until you are satisfied with the product. I had a design in mind and Justine edited the files to make them so much better than what I had imagined. Everything turned out perfect! Everybody loved the invitation, ceremony program and place cards. I have recommended them to all my friends who are getting married. read more

my daughter was married this past November and it was a military wedding - so we had to have her now husband get through all the military paperwork to get the leave signed and a wedding date set. This did not leave us with much time to get the invitations printed and sent. We went to D&R on a recommendation and worked with David on picking out what was wanted and the wording so once the date was set we could get them printed quickly. David knows his business and was able to assist us with all our questions and set us in the right direction on what was needed. She picked beautiful invitations and we waited. Once we got the date David and his amazing staff got the proof out in an amazing time frame and upon approval they printed them faster than I could have imagined possible. Every staffer we dealt with was professional and extremely helpful in getting this important piece of wedding planning done. I can't recommend them with higher marks than I have. If you need printing done I strongly recommend you see David and the staff for your needs - you won't be disappointed. read more

It was five days before my daughters wedding and we did not have favors for the tables. This particular morning I woke up with an idea to get special candy bars and have them wrapped with a fancy label. I found a vendor for the bars but now I needed the labels. After searching for a business that would be in my budget I was led to D& R Press. Darryl answered the phone and heard the urgency in my voice. He immediately started working on it. Darryl and Justine chose the right paper and print color to make the most elegant labels for the wedding favors. I was so pleased. I had the labels in two days and was able to have the favors ready for our Saturday wedding. Plus the cost was well in my budget. I wish I knew of this company when we were making the invitations. I am so pleased with D & R Press that I will continue to use their services for all my future printing needs. Thank you Darryl and Justine for your immediate response and excellent work. read more
