I had Marlene reach out to me regarding the review and accepting the project. She was willing to accommodate pricing in order to keep me as a client and for me to remove the most recent review. I agreed and I didn't think she could do worse. I sent her the quantity and sizes and was informed I'd receive an invoice. I never did (should've noticed that red flag cause no one would be doing labor without getting the $ up front). Again I've had to email and text her to ask for updates and she responds saying that the shirts were "ready" but then continues to ask me for the design, which I'd already sent in my initial email to avoid any extra steps. I finally get another message saying the shirts are "done" I ask for clarification & I'm informed I have to wait another weekend for them to be done as in she would have finished them but I wouldn't have received it by then. I let her know that this is lots of time spent and I have been the one over communicating. Marlene responds telling me she can't do the project anymore due to bandwidth to which I replied that that was something she should've communicated in our initial conversation as opposed to her taking on the project for the sake of keeping a client and having a review removed. Now I'm stuck looking for other businesses who are heavily backlogged and I've lost valuable time in my timeline thanks to this. I should not have relied on past experiences rather have looked at the recent reviews here as they also reflect the lack of communication on her part and the lagging in work. I'm only thankful I did not pay for this and something tells me she did not do any of this work as no one in their right mind would go through all this only to stop the project that they've invested their labor in. I would not recommend, however, I wish her the best of with her business. May she get more help and learn when to say "no", as she has done amazing work in the past and had been extremely professional. I gave her lots of grace considering her seeming like she indeed wanted to keep me as a client and I ended up getting burned. read more
