Moises Lundie provided excellent service. I brought in an antique Swiss barrel music box from the 1800's to be packaged so I could carry it on the plane trip home. I was very nervous to leave the box there for him to package as it is a family herlome. With his reassurance, I left it there and returned 2 hours later to find that he had completed the packaging. He had photos to show every step of the packing process, wrapped the box with several layers of Styrofoam and cardboard and then placed in in another box for carrying. His attention to detail was so appreciated and everyone at the store was extremely friendly and helpful. If I am ever in need of packaging services in the area, I will return to this UPS store. read more

Moses and the team at Carpinteria UPS have been helping me pack and ship my large paintings all over the world for the last 20 plus years. I have shipped hundreds of paintings with Moses, he deals with the complex customs forms in a highly professional and expedited manner, in 20 plus years no painting has ever been damaged. I have had whole exhibitions of at least 15 paintings large paintings shipped to the four corners of the world by Moses, at least 20 countries including, Perth, Australia, Shanghai, China, London and this week Dubai. I use Moses rather than full service art shippers because, the packages have never been lost or damaged and the smile and personal service are absolutely the best. read more

Absolutely incredible team! Everyone there is extremely nice and helpful. I needed important documents packaged and sent, with a return label, and Moises handled it like a pro. I got in just as the driver was leaving so he worked quickly and got my package sent out! When the receiving party lost the return label (poor organisation on their part) Moises was so caring and attentive. He was quick to help me find the best way possible to retrieve my documents. Honestly had such a great experience with them and I am so glad that this is the team I got at my local UPS store. read more

This is in response to the store's comment. The FACT is I received a phone call from UPS and Amazon on 2/6/2023 that my package was delivered to the Carpinteria UPS Store. In addition, I received an email notification from UPS on the same day stating the same thing. When I went to the store to pick up my package, the clerk was DISMISSIVE and NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. No explanation of what could've happened to my package and instead helped the next person. You provided a detailed explanation of what could've happened to my package on this review but you didn't have time to explain this to me on that day? read more

DO NOT use UPS Store for copy purposes! I was in a pinch and had to use these guys instead of my local shop. They actually charge 3X more per black and white double sided copy than my normal copy shop does! I don't mind paying a little bit more but more but 3X MORE!?? And they charge you $3 just to take a USB drive and plug it into their computer. $3!! I'm embarrassed that I paid that much for black-and-white copies. Never again! read more

Moses is the man! Excellent service. He picked up a large painting from a home in Carpinteria for me. They wrapped it up so it would not get damaged in shipping. It was too large to ship by air so he made the arrangements to ship ground freight. The painting made it safe to me in Colorado. All I had to do was talk to him on the phone. I've been using this local UPS Store for shipping and notary services for what seems like a decade now and I've always been more than satisfied with the speed, accuracy and consistency of their services. Recently, my home based business operation producing masks for Covid19 compliance came to a halt due to a shortage of label printer labels and my trusty Carpinteria UPS Store not only had some in stock but sold them to me at a fantastic price. I know selling their back up label printer stock isn't something they normally do but it's clear the Carpinteria UPS Store understands the needs of a small community and the importance of e-commerce as we forge into the 20s of the 21st century. They lost/ misplaced my package, then when I came into their store to ask nicely where it could've possibly gone the gentleman in the back was rudely aggressive about tracking being late (it's been 3 days, it's still says their location). Then turned his attention back to talking to another associate. At this point I'm not even mad about the package being lost, they need better customer service/ employees who know how to talk to customers professionally. read more

I went in late in the day after I got off work but I was worried it wouldn't get done in time due to closing time coming near -- not to mention I had three, 95 page documents. When I've been away on extended stays, I can count on them bundling my mail and sending it to my temp address - without fail. Always a cheerful greeting, no matter how busy, never too slammed to help out. Very sincere personal service - always. I go to this UPS store infrequently to return Amazon purchases. Nothing really outstanding or bad until this morning. I had two Amazon packages to return. I asked if the packages had to be sealed up. The worker said it depended. She scanned the first code, printed out the label, and sealed the package with it. She scanned the second code and said that I needed to seal the package. I asked her if I could use the stapler or the tape that were sitting between us on the counter. She said "no" and that she would charge $2.50 for the use of tape. I asked if I could use the stapler. No again. She asked me if I wanted a receipt for the first package. I said "yes" and she printed out the receipt which was on a sticker. I then ripped off the bottom half of the sticker receipt, stuck it on the second envelope to seal it, and got back in line. Just ridiculous and poor customer service. read more

I rent a mailbox here for business use. The staff is always friendly and on top of it. When I walk in, there is always a friendly hello even when they are busy. When I had a piece of mail that got "delayed" by USPS, they went above and beyond to give me a call the second it came in. The customer service is everything that is expected and more. I've had a PMB at this location for over 15 years. When I moved overseas for a year they would collect my mail and ship it to me monthly so I was sure nothing fell through the cracks. The team is always friendly and helpful. read more

Terrible service and overpriced products. I asked to ship some mail the most affordable way. The girl handed me a padded envelope. I put my belongings in and closed the adhesive. Then she says it will cost over $9 to ship! I tell her never mind, it has to be cheaper at USPS. She says ok. But it's still another $4.95 for the envelope I used. I said I didn't want to pay for that. This is really expensive for shipping just a few pieces of mail and a pair of board shorts. All in would have been around $15. Just shipping less than 100miles. I paid so as not to make a big scene, but inside I was telling her off. I went to USPS and sent a flat rate box for $7.50. I will never go back to UPS store. All they had to do was be cool and say "no worries", these are our prices and let me leave. read more

We have a PMB here, and the employees are always so helpful and friendly. (Also way cheaper to have a PMB here then at the UPS in SB). We've observed them as they help other customers (while waiting to get our bigger packages) and they always seem to have great customer service... especially when they have customers that aren't exactly kind. read more

Everytime I come to this location I am very happy. They usually have way shorter lines than the USPS which is across the street, and they offer both UPS and USPS services! They also are open until 6pm so you can get a package out later, even after work. The staff are very friendly and they have lots of boxes and packing supplies. Love this place when I am in a hurry and need to ship stuff cheap and efficiently. Manager is awesome! read more

I had an interesting shipping challenge. I contacted Moses and he assured me that it was 'no problem' and that he'd 'never had any problems.' He was 100% correct. He personally managed moving 160 boxes and artwork from my storage locker in Carpinteria to his UPS shop. He then packed and shipped (on several pallets) the entire collection to Minnesota (these boxes comprised an important archive of a business that's being donated to the University there. Everything was managed perfectly and efficiently. He even sent photos of the final pallets so I would know everything had been done right. I am so pleased to know that a person like Moses exists in our small community. He takes great pride in his service and reputation. Hard to find. Glad I found it. read more
