Forget all past negative reviews - this UPS Store is under new ownership and management, and I found the staff to be courteous and knowledgable. I came in with 2 boxes of equipment to send to AT&T, and they made sure I left with my batteries and HDMI cables - not because they had to, but just to be nice. While I understand that printing things out comes at a cost, to have a fee of $3.13 to print out 1 page, or have an employee do it for $5, is absolutely absurd and plain highway robbery. Otherwise, this place is okay. read more

This is a terrible example of a UPS store. This place will nickel and dime you to overpay for basically anything unless you did all the leg work at home. What's the point? Appalling customer service along with incompetent employees who took literally 6 attempts to print a label each time with the wrong info. I kept correcting and they kept being inept. I would like to say when my contract is up I will not be renewing it. After yesterday I will NEVER use that place again. I was the only one in the store when I walked in and I was not greeted and the man made direct eye contact and still nothing. I checked my box then walked up to the counter and the older rude ass women with her back turn to me said...I won't be helping anyone with a mailbox issue today. So I kindly took the paper and the important information they needed from me and left. For exceptional service, go to this UPS when Isaiah is working!!! My husband & I needed a lot of documents notarized, a LOT of documents!! We called, they said no appointment necessary, we wrangled up 2 witnesses & away we went to UPS store, Isaiah greeted us promptly asking how he could help. We told him we needed notary service. Of course it took a long time due to the number of documents that needed notarizing as well as witnessed. Isaiah was so patient & understanding of our needs. There was a time, though where the store exceeded number of customers allowed. There was another person there, who told Isaiah, "I've got a meeting" right in the middle of our signing. My husband & I both told this guy we would be there a while to complete our business. This would have left Isaiah to finish our business but also take care of other customer needs, anyway the other dude stayed out front to provide customer service. Isaiah never lost his cool. I think the team working at the UPS is fantastic. I had a cable box issue return, and the attendant personally helped me talk to the ATT rep on my phone and asked questions to probe deeper into the issue. He volunteered to do it and that meant a lot to me. Thank you Team UPS! read more

Of all the UPS stores that I have been in, this is my most favorite one. The young men that work there are very polite, professional and friendly. They work hard, but seem to be having a good time, and enjoying the customers. Since using this UPS, I have come to know the owner. His employees are a good representation of himself. Please do not go here notarized. The staff, S Gonzalez charges $6 per signature. Whereas UPS store near loop 1 and William Cannon charges much less, 1$ onwards every second signatures. This is weird. When I asked, he said it is the Texas state law to charge 6$ per signature. How is that possible? Does it means other UPS stores does not follow the state law? read more

Was driving by and was spit on by a lady. Followed her to the UPS Store there on Westgate where I confronted her and asked the UPS stores to call the police. In which they refuse to do so. Thankfully a customer saw what happened and offered to call the police for me. Turns out The UPS Store employees were friends with the lady who spit on me. I would not recommend this place to anyone for anything. Trust me if you needed help they would not help you even if your life depended on it. read more

I actually had a good experience here. The second I walked in, I was greeted and the guy working there told me he'd be able to help me in a minute. I needed something notarized, and he was prompt at doing it and then rang me up with the price that UPS charges. These guys were all helpful and friendly, it was hard for me to picture them acting in the negative ways that people in reviews were saying. read more

Very smooth, uncomplicated experience today. I was returning a computer, but my husband had already recycled the packing box, so I needed it to be packed.. It probably took me less than 10 minutes from the time I entered the store to the time the transaction was completed. I've used this store on several occasions to ship items out of state. The last time I used them was in Jan 2010. I will never use this store again. I will also tell everyone I can not to use this store. I had some framed artwork shipped out of state. I let them package the item since they say it can only be insured if they package it. It cost me $200.00 dollars for them to package and ship it. I was not expecting the price on that one at all but I paid and sent my package on its way. Package arrives to recipient who tells me that the art work is broken to pieces. The frame is broken and the glass is broken to bits. I ask what the packaging looked like since I was unable to see it packed at the ups store. I'm told about the packaging appears to be subpar and that there are no framing corners on the artwork. I call ups store to submit a claim. Here is where it all starts to go downhill. Ups store wants me to submit receipts for the artwork and framing. I do this promptly and have it to them the next day. The recipient of artwork is told by ups that they need pics of damage and measurements of packaging etc. This is broken glass inside of the packaging that they are wanting the recipient to handle. I tell ups store to send out a rep to location of shipped package to assess the damage themselves. This gets done and ups rep states that the packaging was horrible. Ups rep states it should take about 48 hrs to get my claim completed. I then find out that the personel at the ups store contact the recipient of the package and tell him to go get a quote for what it will cost to replace the framing on the artwork. Excuse me...this was a gift for the recipient and now they want him to get a quote. I provided the ups store with a receipt for the cost of the framing. I then call ups store to inquire as to why they are having the recipient do this even though I have proof of cost. Ups store tells me that cost of replacement would be higher out in Ca as opposed to Tx so that is why they want a quote. Let me say that I think this maneuver by ups store was just to stall and waste my time and also the recipients time. Needless to say ups store will only pay on amount that I provide proof of with a receipt for the original cost. I continue to call ups store once a week to find out the status of my claim. Each week I am told to call back in another week. It is nearing the end of March now. I call ups corporate and am told the claim was closed due to the ups store not following up on claim but that it can be reopened as soon as ups store provides receipts of cost of artwork. What? I provided receipts immediately when filing claim back in Jan. I call ups store and speak to Stevie (Stevie is the person I have been dealing with this whole time at ups store). I ask Stevie if she has spoken with claims adjuster since a week ago when she told me to call back. She says no and that she will call adjuster while I wait on phone. Stevie states adjuster didn't answer phone and she will have to try later. At this point patience has worn thin and I ask to speak with manager. Manager states she is aware of my problem and I question as to why it is taking so long to get my money back. I also tell her that Stevie never even called the adjuster since I last spoke with her. The manager proceeds to tell me that they all have other jobs they have to do at the ups store. Really, as if I didn't know that but how about at least making ONE phonecall to check with the adjuster to see about my claim. I then ask the manager for the phone number of the adjuster so I can call seeing as they are too busy to deal with my situation. (Side note: everytime I have been in this store they are not busy and appear to be standing around). I then call the adjuster who answers immediately and tells me that my claim has gone through and that they sent the ups store a check for me and that they should have it within a few days. I then call back the ups store manager and tell her what the adjuster said. Manager tells me to check back in a week (here we go again) to see if check is in. I then come back in a week to get my refund. I am at the store and am told that the owner has to write me a check but that he hasn't done it yet and that they will make note of it and get back with me. Are you kidding me. At this point I am furious and call the ups complaint line to file a complaint about this store. I contact the complaint line and the tell the rep my entire story and she says that she will look into it. The very next day I get called by the ups store and am told I can come pick up my check. I finally get my check for $431.00 dated March 30, 2010. This process took three months to resolve. Not once did anyone at the ups store apoligize to me for anything. The reps with ups corporate and the complaint line were apologetic but I will never use this ups store again. read more

I rarely write reviews, and even more rarely will I write a negative one. But my experience at the UPS Store on Westgate was bad enough that I thought it appropriate to caution others. These people have never heard of customer service! Long unpleasant faces greeted me on Friday 3/29 as I walked in to request 2 suitcases shipped to NYC, where I'm in the process of moving. The young man quoted me one price, and then charged me more -- twice! Additionally, he made sure to warn me that my package is highly unlikely to arrive on time ... and that because it's a suitcase, my insurance would not cover any loss or damage. First he said only damage was not covered. After I paid nearly $100 per suitcase in insurance, he added that loss/theft was not covered either. Why am I paying for insurance then?? I sent my packages anyway because I was traveling the next morning & I had few choices ... but I walked out of the UPS Store feeling like my suitcases would get mangled, destroyed, stolen & lost -- these employees would make sure of it, even if they had to destroy or lose my suitcases themselves! I which case I would be down an outlandish $410 for shipping 2 carry-on suitcases full of clothes. I assure you, I am a FedEx customer now! A Hispanic man walked in the UPS store as the young man was "helping" me and asked if anyone spoke Spanish. The lady snapped "NO", didn't make even the slightest effort to find out what this man needed, much less offering anybhelp. (I assisted him.) With a little bit of customer service training, the young man & the middle-aged lady working at UPS could have avoided losing me & others as customers. They ought to consider taking more customer-oriented approach & tone, and offering solutions, rather than just covering-their-ass to the nines. But I guess you can't teach people to care. My packages better arrive, otherwise I will be consulting with my attorney on how to recover my $410 ... and make an insurance claim! No more UPS Store for me, bye bye! read more

I've had a mail box at this store for 15 years and used many of their services, including notarization and many Amazon packages kept safely here instead of dumped on my doorstep. Through management and staff changes, I've been pleased and look forward to more. "Stacey" in particular has been there longer than any other employee, and has always gone out of her way to be helpful. read more

I'd suggest avoiding this place completely if you are doing anything other than dropping off boxes with labels already prepared. Anything else will be reliably met with perplexed staff, who will either overcharge you or will be utterly helpless. This place changed owners a few times and it just seems to be getting worse. I have been a mailbox customer for over 8 years so I've seen it all. After being treated terribly today while I was trying to renew my mailbox, I finally decided to take my business elsewhere. And I'm glad I did. Based on what I'm finding out so far, this UPS Store seems to be one of the most expensive ones, in addition to being one of the worst run... (UPS Stores are not owned or operated by UPS). Can't wait to take this consistently unpleasant stop out of my list of errands. read more

When I walked in I asked for a letter-sized overnight envelope. Then *I* had to ask for the label pouch. That should have been an automatic given. The supervisor was great in helping me out with the convoluted shipping label process. My only complaint is that the music was too loud. It wasn't my taste in music but it would not have been so irritating if it wasn't so loud. read more

Nina + Paul were so helpful, efficient, and empathetic. They more than made up for the incompetence and inconvenience I experienced dealing with the Austin UPS center where I was told I had to print out shipping labels even though I scheduled a pickup that included the driver bringing the shipping labels with him/her. Why would I go through the process of arranging a pick up if that meant I still had to go to the UPS store to print out the labels?! Mind you this was after 1)the driver never came to my address on the date I scheduled the pick up 2) three follow up calls to check the status of the pick up fiasco. I appreciate that Nina+Paul apologized for the stress I experienced. They made shipping 6 heavy boxes super easy!!! read more

Had a very helpful staff and didn't wait but a couple seconds to be served. The girl at the front register was very knowledgable and discussed different types of service options. She smiled, politely and listened to everything I needed. After hearing all the options, I opted for next day air which is guarenteed. Since the documents needed to get to bank asap, The UPS store even offered me 3 different times, one at 8:00am, a 10:30am, and a 3:00pm arrival . It arrived on time the next day.
