    Breakfast Pierogi

This was really good! I stopped in with a friend for a quick brunch and was happy we did. We went on a Sunday around 1pm and had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. Our waitress was kind. Not over the top, but quick, polite and efficient -- can't ask for much more. I enjoyed the Breakfast Pierogi which I will be thinking about for a long time. They were perfectly cooked, fire hot when served and I enjoyed the eggs and onions on top. If you stop by, I think you'd enjoy! Only downfall? They don't do reservations or call ahead seating.

I'll take one of everything please! Their menu is vast and delicious. It has your standard brunch treats, and then some fun and interesting combos as well. Everything was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the ambiance was fun and lively. I love the new-ish location. It's so bright.

We were in Windsor and my husband wanted a Bloody Caesar so I had used help to find a brunch spot with cocktails and found this spot. I loved the decor, sleek, modern, but still comfortable. Loved the food, there were so many good options so it was hard to choose but I love baklava so I had to try the baklava french toast and it didn't disappoint. Loved the fresh fruit with the pistachios. It was sweet without being too sweet, very balanced in flavor. My husband loved his lox bagel, a great ratio of ingredients. Had some bacon which was cooked nicely. Service was good overall, specially for how busy they were.

It was so loud I couldn't hear myself talk. It is extremely cramped in restaurant. Ambiance isn't nice at all. I was sitting so close to the person next to me that I could hear there entire conversation. Coffee was horrible and bland. It took 45mins to get my food. I had an 3 meat omelette which was salty!! Hash browns were undercooked and bread was stale. Only good thing was the hot chocolate!

Arrived a little after 9am and while the restaurant was already full, there was space at the bar for my husband and me. We were in Windsor for the weekend and The Twisted Apron was highly recommended and deservedly so. The food was outstanding, coffee was excellent and the service (shoutout to Kim) was so attentive.

I walked by this place in December when the weather was a bit cold, and there was a line outside the door. I'd seen it recommended, so I promised myself I'd return some day. Fast forward to Spring, and there was a line up inside. (They don't take reservations except on Easter Sunday and Mother's Day.) The sadness of solo dining is no companion to talk with during the meal. The joy of solo dining is that I snagged a single seat at the bar almost immediately. I was greeted quickly and cheerfully, and I put an order in for a Red Eye and perused the menu. The Eggs Benedict with salmon caught my eye (they had a much better name for it on the menu, which I forget), and I got a side order of fruit. The coffee was hot and delicious. I took the opportunity to look around the space. Bright and modern, but with some photos of Windsor's past on the walls. Some places have a nice energy to them, and this is one of them. Normally I don't eat dessert, but I had such a glow on from the meal and the experience that I got a salted caramel offering. It was so good, not too sweet, not too salty, a perfect balance Food service was quick and the eggs were poached perfectly, the smoked salmon was clean tasting and delicious, and the addition of fried capers was a nice crunchy texture. The fruit cup was fresh and a nice variety of berries and fruit chunks. Excellent service, a large pleasant atmosphere, and a good place to begin or end an exploration of Walkerville. This will be a must visit the next time I go to Windsor, no matter how long I have to wait for a table

Wonderful atmosphere and great service. It gets busy by we were able to get there before the crowd and sat at the bar. Delicious Spanish coffee and breakfast pierogies! Where have breakfast pierogies been all my life? Accessibility wise really fantastic. Separate handicapped bathroom with push button for door open and inside for door lock. Spacious and great vertical mad horizontal bars. Really amazing was the emergency call button near the toilet, jic! Overall, highly recommend.

Wow!!! Food was EXCELLENT!!!! So delicious and fresh. The service was decent. They had a lot of dogs that day so made the ambiance subpar. They were barking and what not. But sure didn't detract from the taste of our food. Food came fast and was on point.

Even though I live in Detroit, I was recommended this place in Windsor Canada by two different people. So when the opportunity arise for me to go to Canada, I decided to stop here with some friends for brunch. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated at the bar area. The menu offered a lot of variety of food for all dietary needs. My friends and I started off with a mimosa, a margarita and a grown-up Shirley Temple. All of our drinks were excellently prepared. I ordered the brunch melt, which was lightly toasted on a French toast bread with caramelized onions, and some type of honey mustard sauce with french fries. The sandwich was excellent, so very good and the french fries were nice and crispy. My friend ordered the steak and eggs, and her steak was cooked perfectly. No complaints at all. I did notice that this place was on the smaller size so I would advise people to get there early if you want a table because they do get packed quickly. There was some outdoor seating available now that the weather is nice. I will definitely return in the future!!

My wife and I went here for breakfast yesterday. The inside is cute very clean and lively. Staff was friendly and service was quick. The food was really good. My wife had the sweet potato hash and I had a huge breakfast. Everything was very good. If you leave here hungry that's your fault not there's.

The fried catfish, yams, greens, fried chicken, dark maple hot wings and anything that hit the table was exceptionally tasty. With classic tastes like grandma used to make, but with that extra touch of love. Inside the dining area was super clean and upbeat. Gorgeous artwork and a speakeasy type vibe. Met chef Aisha and she was wonderfully sweet. So were Miss Lisa and Brandy. Huge shout out to brandy as she was the mixologist. That Mr Bowie was the best!

I wanted…read moreto try a restaurant that I had not been to and saw this one on FB and decided to do something different. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant before. First, the restaurant is up two flights of steps and there is no elevator. I injured my knee and walked up the stairs. Second, when I was seated and shown the menu, I was shocked at the very limited options. They only offer white- meat chicken, no rice or plain sides. I was going to try the greens but the server said they put vinegar on them which I don't care for. The Brussels sprouts with corn is a hard pass. I had no other choice but ordered something that I would never put together as a meal: fried catfish, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts with corn. The fish was fried hard and needed seasoning and the sprouts were forgettable. They brought out hot sauce on the side assuming all people want hot/ spicy food. I wanted tartar sauce and they didn't have a traditional sauce- they had a " Cajun- style sauce." My friend had a crab cake for $25. When I called about parking, the hostess mentioned the cash lot behind the restaurant and.a parking structure across the street. She didn't mention that it was extremely expensive, I paid $24.49 for 1 hour and 6 minutes in the structure. Oh, I almost forgot that they added a 20% gratuity automatically for a party of 2! So, overall, my catfish dinner, 1 crab cake appetizer, and $2 up charge for the Brussels brought my bill to $74. Plus, the $24.49 for parking was a $100 night with no liquor only to have to leave and go eat elsewhere as what I wasted money on left me hungry and unsatisfied for sure.

For our appetizer we ordered Firecracker shrimp, Fried green tomatoes, and Sweet potato muffins. We also had the complimentary corn bread. The appetizers and sweet potatoes muffins were delicious. The cornbread was dense and okay. For our main course we ordered turkey chops, and they came with two sides. We chose mac and cheese and red beans and rice. The turkey chops were ok but the sides were trash. The red beans and rice were (see picture) dry and the macaroni and cheese (see pictures) as well. The mac and cheese was cheeseless. We also ordered the catfish dinner with okra and yams. The yams were delicious and the okra was okay. The catfish skin was dark like old oil was used. It appeared to be cornmeal fried and hard. I should have specified how I wanted them. We also order the waffle and the chickens and there were no complaints. Honestly, we've been to Cornbread many times. Previously, I've always given 5 stars and haven't ever had any complaints but something drastically changed. The drinks as well didn't taste the same and we were told that the bartender was new. We didn't want to complain or send our food back due to our past experiences at other restaurants but we did take pictures. The service was great. But honestly, I do not believe that we will ever return.

From the second you walk in, it's obvious this place isn't just another bar -- it's a neighborhood hangout with serious personality. The rustic-brick interior and laid-back energy set the tone perfectly for a night out with friends or a chill stop before hitting other downtown spots. The menu is packed with attention-grabbing comfort bar food that goes way beyond typical pub grub -- think flavorful sandwiches, crispy fries, and dishes that pair insanely well with a cold drink. One of the best parts? Wednesday night trivia. It's the kind of event that turns a midweek night into a destination night. Trivia kicks off in the evening and runs until the fun's done, complete with drink specials (like discounted pitchers and fun cocktails) and a crowd that's all about playing hard and laughing harder. Whether you're a regular trivia team or just looking to make new friends, it's a blast and a perfect reason to mark your calendar every week. The drinks lineup here is solid too -- from craft beers on tap to creative cocktails -- and the bartenders know what they're doing whether you're asking for something classic or bold. Honestly, the name might be "Second Best," but this place is easily first in my book for good times, good eats, and good people. If you haven't been yet, trust me -- go get some.
