Today, I visited European Wax in Burlington for the first time since having my baby; it was a…read moremomentous appt. I chose the associate I'll refer to as E because of how terrific she is and the rapport she's built with me over the past few years. I've been a loyal customer in Burlington for three years, and E has always been my favorite. She's upbeat, friendly, remembers me, and is exceptionally skilled--efficient, professional, and virtually painless. That's why I was both surprised and disappointed to learn today was her last day. She was let go with less than two weeks' notice--not for the quality of her work, but for not meeting product sales quotas. I've purchased annual wax packages for seven or eight years, but this will be my last. Across multiple locations, I've seen a pattern of poor employee treatment. Sales quotas should never come at the cost of retaining top talent. If a company is losing great employees like E over product sales, the problem isn't the employees--it's leadership. If European Wax continues to prioritize short-term sales over long-term customer loyalty, it won't just lose great employees--it will lose customers like me. By the way, my first postpartum wax was a positive experience thanks to E. She is outstanding!

My stylist is Yan, and she has been doing my hair for over 7 years!!! I know most people switch their hair stylists to try new things and whatnot but I really like Yan and she does a great job. She is super nice and not very chatty for a hair stylist but she takes her work seriously!!! I love my hair and I will keep going to her for cuts and foils. Be specific and clear about what you want and you will be happy. I have once ventured to another salon on Newbury street, where I paid $70 plus tip for a cut+blow dry and got pretty much zero change in my hair. Posh Lash creates a welcoming, friendly and relaxing environment upon walking in the door. The beds are comfy and make it easy to fall asleep in during the appointment. The lash artists are extremely talented, having been trained by the owner Tracy. Tracy, is an unbelievably talented lash artist, I began seeing her 6 years ago after I had my lashes done at a nail salon and had to see her for a correction appointment. She was knowledgeable and explained to me how the extensions worked - for anyone getting their lashes done for the first time, I think it's important to educate yourself on how lashes work, and be comfortable knowing that it may take some time before you are comfortable with the style, weight and even the glue. I will say the artists are willing to work with you, have you come back for touch ups, removals, adjust their glue, adjust the lashes the use but in order for them to do that you need to be honest and proactive. Posh Lash is a modern business, their communication style is to text with clients, scheduling/rescheduling and confirming appointments. I appreciate this because it's easy to communicate and quicker then having a phone call. I have recommended Posh Lash to family and friends over the years, and stand by my recommendation and completely trust in Tracy and the other talented artists.
