Went to this Supercuts today for a pretty run of the mill long bob. I brought a picture in. I got a nice older Asian lady, but there was a bit of a language barrier. She said "Oh, this is a razor haircut, we don't do that." I've never been to a salon that "didn't do" razor cuts. I was trying to understand, was she trying to say she couldn't do my haircut because she doesn't have the right equipment? She considered for a moment and said, "...I can do it. I'll do it for you." I asked, "Are you sure you can do it? I'm a bit nervous now!" I was half-joking, but I didn't want her to feel pressured to do something she didn't have the equipment to do. I told her I really didn't want to mess up my hair (I'm a writer and have a big event at the end of the month), so if she couldn't do it, it was okay. An older white lady cutting hair in the chair next to ours piped in and said, "She's been cutting hair for 27 years, I think she can handle it" in the most rude way. Everyone in the salon got quiet. I was embarrassed and shamed. What started out as a client and stylist trying to communicate and understand each other turned into a very embarrassing experience for me. When I told my husband about it, he knew exactly who I was talking about. This is a bad thing, because it's not the first time she's been rude to clients in his presence (he wasn't in the salon at the time). Anyway, the stylist cut my hair and she did a good job, exactly what I asked for. She was sweet, I'm happy with the cut, I tipped. But this white lady totally ruined the vibe and embarrassed me to the point that I will not be coming back. read more

I've never been to Supercuts before but I just wanted a cheap women's cut and found a $2 off coupon online. I made a reservation beforehand too, had no idea who would be cutting my hair until I showed up. It was with an older Asian woman. She did not wash my hair but used a spray bottle containing some heavily fragranced water (which was bad for me since I have very sensitive skin and eczema). I just could not get her to cut my hair in the way I expected- I asked her for some layers since my hair is thick and I just wanted it short, around shoulder length. I had my eyes closed the entire time, and when she said she was done I asked her for a little shorter because it looked long. It's taking me FOREVER to grow my hair out now, even after ~4 months and the ends that are "layered" look TERRIBLE like a 4 year-old cut it at all different lengths, it's quite laughable. Longer "layers" on the left side than the right. I look like a Dragonball Z character with the spikes coming out of their head, but in the reverse direction with the hair falling down. Not worth the $22+, I think women's haircuts shouldn't be so expensive to begin with, but I don't recommend this place. When I went home after to wash my hair, it was really difficult to wash out the fragrance and my hair looked like a messy mop. read more

When people compliment my hair, I mention Lena and Supercuts! Both my husband and my kid go to Supercuts and typically my kid gets his haircut by Bianca. She does a great job! Today she wasn't available and Yamy did the haircut. My kids' haircut looks pretty bad, and now I will have to try to fix it at home. His fringe has a triangle shape (long on the sides, short in the middle) and his hair on the back looks sloppy, longer on one side. There are also longer parts throughout! Very unhappy with the haircut and we will definitely not let this hairdresser try to cut his hair again. If we can, we will stick with Bianca for every cut! read more

This is the worst, worst, worst experience we have ever had getting hair cuts. My 11 year old son came out of his hair cut with half of his eyebrow shaved off!! Then, we called back to complain, and never received a call back from the manager, even after we told the person who answered the phone what happened. And if having half of his eyebrow removed wasn't enough, the actual hair cut looked like a 4 year old had done it - completely crooked. If I could have given zero stars, I would have! Almost a month ago I went to get a haircut and color - with bleach. I got a lot of inches hacked off - more than I wanted. The woman who did my hair was very rude at the front desk and to make her less pissy I was patient and polite... At first after getting your hair colored and cut, you wait a couple showers to figure out how to style it and such...I'm realizing more and more that she did an incredibly sloppy job with the color and bleach and the layers on both sides are so randomly uneven it makes me cringe. I figure it's too late now to get it fixed and too bad for me that ever since it's been so disappointing to see my hair after I've washed, dried, styled and used products to protect it....it's a hot mess. I've never hated a hair cut so much in my life, and I don't get too picky...and I gave a good tip...shame on me and 230 bucks later I feel like crap.... It pains me to write this review. I should start by saying I have always gotten my hair cut at this Supercuts, going back years now. Both of my daughters got their first haircuts here and after spending close to 5 years working across the street in the mall, I always recommended people go here instead of DSpa or anywhere in the mall. Sadly, after my experience today, I can honestly say, I will never go back or recommend. I went in today for a haircut, known fully that my hair is damaged and that I probably needed more than the normal inch or two off. I have long, permed, colored hair. I should also add that I am 35 years and have had long, permed, colored hair for close to 20 years. Though I am not a hairdresser I think general life experience warrants me smartest enough to know the basics. The salon was busy and I had to wait about 25 minutes (not a problem, I'm always glad to see a busy salon over a dead one). When it is was my turn, the woman who took me back did not tell me her name, or for that matter give me any type of a warm greeting. Again, not a problem, I can respect someone who wants to get down to business and hustle to make their tips. I'm all for it. We sit down, and once she sees my hair, it all went downhill. Now again, not being a hairdresser by trade, but if someone has damaged hair, it might not be the best idea to dry brush it, just saying. After mumbling god only knows what, she tells me that my hair is completely damaged, and basically I would need to cut it all off if I wanted to get the dead out. Let me paint you a picture, my hair is magenta, curly, to my waist and as think as a horse mane. This woman is telling me that I need to cut all of it off, to my chin, because it was all damaged. At this point she goes and gets another woman, who tells her to condition the bottom of my hair, not to use a brush and to use a wide comb (same thing I told her by the way), spray some detangler and that my hair is strong, damaged at the end, but very strong. Hindsight is a terrible thing. I should have asked that nice, smart woman to cut my hair but I didn't. To summary the rest of this story, I got my hair cut, which is not even. The woman did not use detangler and was ripping my hair out on one side (by far the most painful haircut of my life) and then on the last side just skipped over the knots and cut (which is why it is uneven).Was not helpful at all, seemed more inconvenienced at the fact that she had to cut my hair. I wanted to actually cut between 4-6 inches off but left with less than an inch off my long layer and anywhere between 0-2 inches off the layers throughout my hair. I guess my only saving grace is that I have curly hair, so it won't be noticeable that it is uneven. Sadly, the point of my cutting it today was so I could wear it straight. I want to also note that I did tip this woman $5 on my $18 haircut. Though I was brought up not to saying anything unless you have something nice to say, I feel like that $5 bought me the right to write this review. Hopefully, someone will read this review and ensure that what happened to me today never happened to anyone else. read more

The key to Supercuts is to always call in advance to put your name in. This way when you walk in and you see all of the miserable people suffering through outdated magazines you can sit with your head high knowing that you'll be the next person called. For $15 I don't know what else you could ask for out of a haircut place. I had a extremely bad experience in this supercut in June, which could be the worst experience in my entire 30 years life. The lady is very rude and give me an uneven haircut. But I met Hayley in the same place. She is very nice and patient hairdresser, give me a really good bob hair in September. When I went work that Monday, everybody asked me where I got the haircut. I introduced my friends to this supercut. I think it really depends on who your hairdresser is. I wanna give Haley 5 stars. Wow. I've gone here for years and they really messed it up this time. If I could give half a star, I would. I have very curly hair, I also have alopecia ( my hair falls out due to an auto immune disease). I asked for half and inch off, she cut off an inch. She saw the bald spots and said, very loudly might I add, "oh did you have chemo?" And I said "excuse me??" And she goes "oh you know.. Cancer?" Who says that?!? So unprofessional. I wanted my hair blow dried, she did that and it was still dripping wet. I told her to dry it more and she said "that will be an extra $30". She made my hair look incredibly poofy and didn't keep the natural curl. It looks as if she brushed out curly hair which you NEVER do. read more

Very bad experience. I booked an appointment with kathy for the first time and i was on time for my appointment and she almost started my haircut and all of sudden she said I don't do haircut. She did not give an appropriate reason even. I asked her that i want highlights for my hair and she did not have enough time to do that so she gave that reason and escaped . Called this morning for a cut. Arrived on time for my 330 appt. No one else was waiting or in any chairs. 2 stylists- and I use that term loosely- are there. After washing my hair and cutting some of it, a man comes in and says he has a 345 appt with the woman cutting my hair- she checks the book- he's not listed at 345p, and a few moments later, another comes in waiting for my stylist. So in the middle of cutting my hair she tells me that if I want her to finish it, I'll have to come back later because the men supposedly had to go back to work I told her I wasn't able to come back later and she said that I had to leave and she wouldn't charge me. WTF!!!!! Who half cuts someone's hair and tells them to leave? I go home and have to blow dry it myself and one side is at least 2 inches longer with an angle- which I asked for- and the other side has no angle at all and as said is 2 inches shorter. Do NOT go here and NEVER have Kathy cut your hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I"ve called the better business bureau and the consumer affairs office to report this incident. read more

I got my long hair trimmed and the front layered. The lady appeared tough on the outside as I apprehensively sat in her chair. No nice greeting or smile, just, "You're next." So we started on our journey. She spritzed, asked me what I wanted, and started going at it. She answered my questions about how to style my hair, what hair cuts would look nice on me, how to keep my hair healthy, and random other things. She slowly warmed up! Before long, I was finished & ready to go. The cut was about $15 and I tip 20%. My hair is more manageable, but the experience was slightly forgettable. read more

Won't be going to Supercuts ever again, had bad experiences at one closer to our house (always empty but stylists would rather sit around and gab and ignore you) so no biggie just change to a slightly more inconvenient one. Husband and I BOTH go to that one to get our hairs cut mine a pixie him just business style. Stylists cut only about a half an inch off of mine (for a PIXIE) and my husbands looked like they cut a millimeter off if that. Why didn't we complain at that time you ask? Because they styled both of us so it wasn't obvious til the crap they put on was washed out. I'm all for servicing "smaller" businesses but I'm out. (And please don't contact me Supercuts like you did on last one denying what I said happened happened. Got contacted by manager on one where they said stylists never sit around, we had been to that one seven or so times and always watched people get ignored or got ignored ourselves with NO ONE on the chairs!! read more

My husband normally goes here and gets a haircut. And it's a 20$ haircut but whatever. Today when he went in they had just ordered lunch. His stylist rushed the end of his haircut because lunch had arrived. She never showed him the back. When he got home I noticed there were several areas where she had gone in at a different angle leaving several lines that were shorter than the rest... Giving him a hair cut that I could have done at home with the trimmer for free. It never used to bother me that they gave crappy hair cuts but when you are paying for a service you at least expect it to look like someone who had some training preformed adequately, but this was definitely far below even the standards of super cuts (do they even have any??). read more

I took my young daughter here to get a hair cut. Just a simple bob. My friend and I were watching because this was my daughter's first "real" hair cut other than me trimming it. The hair stylist was clearly nervous we were watching and the cut was uneven. I think it's ridiculous she botched such a simple cut. Terrible. I've been cutting my own hair for the past 2 years. But this time I decided to come in and get it "professionally done". I came in, and show the girl the picture of the hair cut that I wanted. It was about 3 inches below the shoulder and lots of layers. 1 hour later, my hair is barely touching my shoulder and there are absolutely 0 layers. I've gone to Juditt, now at the Burlington SC, for at least 3 years for cut and color. She always does nice work and I'm constantly complemented on how my hair looks. I used to pay over $200 for cut and color at a boutique salon and was always fighting with styling the cut. I never pay more than $90 for cut and color at SC and it lasts me 8 weeks! read more
