Our waitress KeKe was amazing! The food was spectacular. I'm so sorry I ate it without taking a photo. I had a wonderful meal, so unique!

My son introduced me to this restaurant a few months ago and it has now become one of our go to places for lunch. The Banh Mi turkey sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. The Chimichurri steak sandwich is outstanding as well. Pair any sandwich with the soup of the day and potato wedges and you will leave with a smile on your face. The service is outstanding as well taking place in a nice, open and casual setting. . I highly recommend this establishment!

Really good and plenty of healthy options, unique flavors. We had the kimchi pimento cheese and the special (6 wings) for starters. My husband loved the garlic Parmesan wings. The scallion pancakes were crispy and delicious with the pimento cheese. Such a cool fusion of a southern traditional food and Asian food. For entrees we split the vegetable lasagna and the sol food burger special, a spicy Philly impossible burger. The burger was messy to eat but tasted amazing. The lasagna was solid, but I would try the cauliflower as a vegetarian option next time. It came with a delicious roll that was crunchy with pesto inside. A bit pricey for Augusta but worth it for a fun date night.

If you'd look and think it was a fast casual type of place, I did get my food reasonably fast, but it was quite a splendid interior at this highbrow shopping center near the golf course and definitely an upscale experience. A vegetarian-friendly menu yielded my Cuban Bowl, which delivered all the flavors you'd hope for, with plantains, pickled onions, pineapple, and my personal favorite black beans. Adding tofu yielded some deliciously crisp, freshly fried stuff. Their drink menu was separate and on a stand on the table so I missed it. It is an expensive bowl, so I can only say if you want an expensive bowl with microgreens on top in a hip, upscale setting, this place delivered the fresh flavors and quality I was hoping for.

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Found in Surrey Center. Next to Calverts! Lots of parking in shopping center. Came for Friday lunch. At 1:00 today. Lots of items ie rice and greens not available with the dishes. So came out and made substitutions. They do have gluten free options. Ironically we came out for out GF friend as he always seems to order salads and another firmed thought he would order something different. Ok, he got the salad with romaine and he put salmon on top. He said it was okay. I loved the smoked turkey sandwich. Lovely tender thick cuts of smoked turkey. Like the kosher pickles. Had The Detoxifier beet juice. Very refreshing. Overall loved out server Whitney. Very accommodating and helpful. I would come back I'm a FaN!!!

The food was very fresh and tasted great! I loved the decor. The restaurant was super cute and clean. However, the service took a considerably long time. I was giving the workers grace because they seemed a little short staff, but then our server just became a bit moody and rude. I am not sure what happened but by the time our checks came out, she seemed like she really didn't want to be there or serve us. This was my first time coming and I am very sad this was my first impression of the business.

Why in the world have I waited so long for vegan brunch?! Y'all don't sleep on this like I did. I've only had a couple of things, but that's enough to make me want to come every Saturday. It's not 'fast food', so don't be in a hurry. It's worth the wait and the atmosphere is super chill. I love all the plants and stained glass.

Great discovery traveling on way back to Atlanta from the SC beach. Worth the trip into August and do stop by this restaurant, a healthy choice from all of the fast food places along the way while traveling I-20. This may become our go-to pit stop on the semi-annual trip thru Augusta to the coast. Hostess and owner were fabulous giving us a history of the restaurant and describing the food. The vibe was right for a nice, quiet meal for the journeyer.

This is a mixed review for us so I'm going to break it down into areas. The Restaurant - 5 This place catches your eye as soon as you walk in. It's clean, warm, organized well, and decorated wonderfully. It is very impressive. A nice place to relax with friends. The Wait Staff - 5 We were greeted and seated promptly. We had Shelly. She was a delight and top notch. She checked on us and helped us make our decisions on what to order. The Service - 3 There was one other group in this place when we went but it seemed to take forever to get our food. If you plan on dining here plan accordingly, give yourself plenty of time for the dining experience. The menu - based on preferences. Limited and unique. A lot of vegan and vegetarian options. The taste of food - 4 The food tasted good but nothing exceptional for us. The shepherd's pie had ground lamb. The Apple Crisp was a little chewy. Value of Food - 3 I ordered 3 items and my bill was $44 before tax and tip. Although the food tasted fine, the portion sizes were a little on the small size. This may be due to the level of ingredients used in the dishes or vegan meals are just more expensive. This restaurant was not our cup of tea but I do think someone who is after vegan/vegetarian meals may love it. It was a super cute place.

Being an Augusta native who no longer lives here but visits frequently.. I got excited when I found this place. A restaurant marketed as vegan in the heart of the south? No way, I thought.. My friends and I decided we would get a few things and share it amongst the table. A bottle of sake, a few different sake drinks all of which were excellent and complimented the food well. For food we got the plantain tacos, kimchi pimento cheese, salmon sliders, spicy edamame, the big dill & the empanadas. Everything was flavorful and very good, but there was about a 25 minute delay from getting our edamame, tacos & pimento cheese to the rest of the order... including a lack of service from our server - who doubled up as the bartender. The $$ is also pretty steep, but maybe worth it for an occasional kind of thing ($15-20 a plate)- fits in with the rest of Surrey Center. Highlight was the chef/owner coming out and asking how everything was and apologizing for the delay/being short staffed. Brownie points for that. Gorgeous interior & very welcoming. Will return, just maybe sit at the bar or go when you don't have any other plans for the evening :)

I stopped in to try their Happy Hour and left having a new go to spot in Surrey Center and Augusta. Solfood feels like you transported into a little world of it's on filled with colorful paintings, plants plants and more plants, and kind friendly people. I sat at the bar and had the best bartender who answered all of my questions and gave suggestions on what to order. We got their boozy smoothie, which I was nervous about at first, I'm normally not a frozen drink girl, unless I'm in the sun (I'm not a monster), but dang, this one changed my mind. It was the perfect balance of booze, strawberry and banana. The bartender referred to it as an adult gogurt and that is spot on. The edamame, THE EDAMAME! It was so freaking good! Spicy while also hella flavorful and the perfect bar snack. I'm already daydreaming of my next trip to get more and they provide you with the cutest homemade hand sanitizer to clean up with after. I'm obsessed.

    Mediterranean Bowl

We were passing through from my daughters's graduation in Fort Jackson. We wanted something light during the drive. Although we are not vegan, we wanted to try it. The food was good yet different. Host of flavors in your mouth. I got the Mediterranean bowl. It was great minus the sauce. My kids and hubby got the smoked wings. They gave them 3.5. My daughter got the turkey wrap but wasn't a fan. I would definitely try it again. It takes a minute for your food to come but our waitress was very sweet. The place is cute and inviting.

Everything about this place was absolutely inviting. The entrance patio is so cute and private, and makes you feel like you are having dinner in a romantic garden! Service was friendly, and the food was better than what I had imagined for it being my first time here! First of all, do not pass the opportunity to try their empanada. It was the fluffiest, most gourmet version of an empanada I've ever had lol. I ordered the salmon for dinner, with a mustard cream sauce along with a bed of vegetables that wonderfully come together and left me more than satisfied with portion size. Solfood Kitchen knows what they're doing, and I am so glad I tried this place.!! Also, they have weekly specials that I need to come back for!

They have a number of stuffed and warm cookies to choose from. I couldn't decide on just one flavor and so opted for two! This was a bit of a mistake as their cookies are really large and dense which I discovered when the worker placed the first box with one cookie on the counter before me and it made an audible kerplunk. My goodness! I got their chocolate peanut butter cookie as well as a sugar cookie. When I realized how ample the cookies were, I gave the sugar cookie to the hotel clerk at my hotel, so I can only speak to the chocolate peanut butter cookie. It was sweet and delicious. I will note that their cookies are very sweet. I don't eat sweets often so the rich sweetness of one cookie was a bit much for me. Were I to go again, I'd probably split one with a friend. That said, the cookie was warm and ooey-gooey. It's kind of an inside out peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cookie surrounding a fudge-y chocolate center. If you like a chocolate/pb combo--this cookie is for you! The workers were lovely. I walked in with no familiarity with the biz and the clerk immediately gave me the rundown of their cookies and how ordering works. They were all so nice in here! From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. It's more Halloween themed kind of style than luxurious. It's a cute mix of orange and black-grey themes. There's soft upbeat music in the background. Right when it opens is a great time to go!
