Came here for a quick and super rushed dinner at the end of the night because we had drink reservations to get to and this food was absolutely delicious. Because we were rushing, we decided to order a quick impossible burger which was easy to eat and chug down. Fries were FIRE! Our friends ordered entrees and they looked SOOOOO good and couldn't stop raving about them. Everything looks fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the hype of The Smith, especially for brunch! All this to say, that even on a rush, the food here is amazing.

My friend recommended The Smith as a NYC must try. We came after our hyrox event and were famishes so stakes were high. I got the citybird mocktail, oysters, and the prime rib pasta. The oysters were scrum, a bit on the pricier side but can't really complain about a good oyster. I loved the pasta. I'm not usually one to order pasta out but our waiter recommended it and he did not fail me. It was the perfect al dente and the ragu was rich and meaty. My friend got a burger with truffle fries and she enjoyed her meal as well. The interior was pretty and could easily be a casual dinner or something more. I appreciated our server's recommendations and knowledge of the menu. The service was quite attentative, with other servers also stepping in to help refill waters and clear plates throughout dinner.

Love this location of The Smith. The restaurant layout is so cool and open. It was a super cold day so I ordered some coffee, which was decent. The table ordered the Calamari and the roasted tomato soup as starters. The Calamari was tender and flavored well. The soup was okay, I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese but thats just a preference. The fish sandwich was so fresh. The salad on top of the chicken was so seasoned so well. The food overall, was good. My waiter was so sweet and brought me a chocolate chip cookie for my bday! It was a great day!

Overall, I enjoyed the Smith. The atmosphere is very lively, the service was great, and the food pretty good. I know they're known for their cocktails, but after 3 days of drinking at every meal, I was boozed out. I loved that they keep bottles of sparkling water at the table. I was downing it I ordered the pasta with short rib and my daughter ordered the vodka rigatoni with added shrimp. While I liked both, both needed salt. I'm not someone who typically salts my food beyond a recipe. I don't even own a salt shaker. But our pasta was a bit bland. All that said, my short ribs were cooked perfectly. I never know if I'm going to regret ordering short ribs because sometimes they are chewy or stringy. These were "melt in your mouth" perfect We couldn't help but order chocolate cake before we left. It's a love of my daughter's. I took several bites. Layered with mouse and topped with ganache, it was quite decadent. I couldn't have eaten the whole thing. --too rich. But really delicious. Very shareable.

We went to lunch last weekend and had a wonderful experience, even on a busy day. Our server, Yesenia, was fantastic and kept everything moving. We ordered the Miso salmon with avocado, the 'little' (far from it!) gem caesar salad with avocado, and the ranchero scramble with large apple smoke bacon and chicken sausage. Everything arrived on time, was freshly served, and tasted delicious. This is officially our go-to restaurant in NYC

I have mixed feelings about The Smith, but three stars feels fair -- maybe even a touch generous. We booked a table for eight for a family brunch to celebrate my wife's 40th, so expectations were (understandably) high. Let's start with what they absolutely get right. The ambiance is fantastic -- very 1920s, F. Scott Fitzgerald energy -- and it works. The interior design team clearly put serious thought into creating something transportive and polished. It feels intentional, not accidental. The cocktails? Genuinely phenomenal. The Oaxacan Sunshine was a standout -- bright, balanced, and memorable. My wife's Frozen Pool Party tasted like something straight out of a Death & Co. mixology finals round. Creative, refined, and just plain fun. The food was also impressive. The menu strikes a nice balance between healthier options and indulgent brunch staples, and everything we ordered delivered both in flavor and presentation. Which is why it's frustrating to say the service didn't live up to the rest of the experience. We were seated at a table set with visibly dirty dishes -- traces of butter still on the plates. I quietly mentioned it to the server. He inspected them, said nothing, removed them... and never brought replacements or acknowledged the miss. No quick apology, no "we'll fix that right away," nothing. It made me wonder how dishes leave the kitchen that way, washed by one person, set by another, without anyone noticing. It felt either like a simple mistake or a breakdown in attention to detail. And on a milestone birthday brunch, that lack of care stands out. The Smith has the atmosphere, the drinks, and the food to be exceptional. I just wish the service matched the level of everything else.

The ambiance was elegant and beautiful, and it was the perfect spot for a girls' dinner night. My favorite was definitely the short rib mafaldine. It was incredibly flavorful, rich, and perfectly cooked. I'll definitely be coming back!

Second time here Very festive - I got the vegetarian bibimbap (1/5), and the burger royale. My friend really enjoyed the burger.

Loved everything, service was A1. Seated right away, was busy Thursday evening. Started with the salmon tartar, fantasticly delicious. Ordered the short rib maldafine, so flavorful would get again, and the cucumber margarita was great. Finished it off with the sticky toffee pudding, YUUMM. Ambiance was lovely and very clean place.

For the second consecutive year, The Smith delivered an excellent Thanksgiving pre-fixe three course meal. Again, we reserved (more than a month in advance) a table at the Nomad location. And again, it was a busy holiday affair. Our server was very welcoming and on point answering questions and making recommendations. Their 3 course pre-fixe meal was $88 not including additions , beverages, gratuity and taxes. We started off with the Sparkling Cosmo (I'm sure Carrie Bradshaw would approve) and later, a bottle of Beginnings Orange Wine from Italy. All very good. For appetizer, I chose Butternut Squash Soup ( creamy and decadent) while the other two selections were Gnocchi with a Truffle Cream Sauce. Could have kicked myself for not ordering this one. I'm not a huge Gnocchi fan but theirs was to die for. We all chose the Traditional Turkey Breast meal: white meat on a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes. Included for the table was: Brussel Sprouts, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce. Everything very very good. Here is the overall sentiment of my group and a gripe--the "for the table" servings were very small. If you're a party of more than 2, the serving of stuffing and Cranberry Sauce isn't satisfying. In my opinion, they should serve the turkey on top of stuffing instead of mashed potatoes. Thanksgiving is all about the stuffing and no one wants a skimpy serving. Unless you have a low appetite, the side servings were just too small. I had to ask for gravy twice in addition to more stuffing which took a while to be brought to the table. And the Cranberry Sauce was maybe a few tablespoons in terms of portion size. I think The Smith should do things differently considering the price point. I love this restaurant and their other locations, but I'm not sure I'll return again next year for Thanksgiving. It was the same last year. Those in my party felt the same. Among the three of us we spent almost $500 including tip. Lost one star for this reason. And it's kind of a big deal.

Brunched at The Smith with the fam last Saturday and it did not disappoint. Fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon and sausage, and French toast that was rich and caramelized in all the right ways. We also had a burger and fries, juicy, flavorful, and done right. Great vibe, attentive service, and solid brunch energy even with the crowd. Easy, delicious, and reliable, exactly what you want for a weekend brunch. Will definitely be back.

What a perfect place to end a quick work trip to New York! My group shared a bottle of wine and delicious appetizers. So glad got the oysters so so good. The waiter was super attentive which in such a large place felt very personable. I had the branzino which was delicious. Loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant hope to come back someday!

I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer.
