I'm personally not a fan of food establishments where you have to pay first and then get your food since I feel you should get to taste/eat the food before you pay, not the other way around. I felt very underwhelmed by their drink selection and decided not to get anything to drink. Most of the beverages I saw were diet sodas, Mexican sodas, and sparkling water. Hey, if you like those types of drinks, that's cool, but I wish there was a bit more variety in regards to soft drinks. Ordered a BLT and the bread options were meh (whole wheat, sourdough, and rye); went with rye but wished they had just regular white bread. There wasn't anything on the menu about bread options, so I wish that information was provided so I didn't have to make a quick decision when at the counter. Bomb food. Menu board is busy, so I feel like I missed a lot of great options here. But the Turkey BLT with avocados was to die for. Best one I have ever had. Will be back for sure!! The only thing I didn't like was not getting a heads up about water and silverware being self serve, which I am actually happy about cause there's no waiter. So Murphy's Law of having something in your mouth everytime they come to check on you, doesn't happen. Food is excellent, more chip options would be cool though. read more

Absolutely the worst breakfast potatoes I've ever encountered. They were called "home fries" but they seemed like they were halfway boiled and then thrown on the plate (and delivered to us 45 mins after we ordered with only two other parties ahead of us. In addition, I was initially a fan of the ordering before you sit down idea until I realized that meant we got literally zero customer service aside from when our food was delivered. I fully understand that I can get up and ask questions at the front but when it starts to feel like workers are avoiding eye contact on their way back to the kitchen it's a pretty cruddy feeling. Lastly an order of their bacon is 2 regular cut slices which by chance happened to be burnt and idk why but that just feels like highway robbery after taking into account the rest of my experience. I stopped by this place this morning after work and I was highly impressed. The man working at the counter was friendly and funny and enjoyable to visit with after a long night shift. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was delicious. I'm not kidding when I say that this is the best sausage gravy I've ever tasted. This is my favorite place to go to when I am craving something healthy but tasty. The staff are so sweet and pleasant, and are just great people to be around. I am new to healthy eating & drinking. This place has been so patient with me. I just left my class at the Body & Brain center and wanted a refreshing drink without sugar in it. This is a soup and sandwich cafe adjacent to Everett's Food Co-op. There is also pasta and salads and a case next to the cash register with cookies and brownies. You order at the counter and take a toy to your table where they bring the food out to you. It's old and funky... in a good way. The service was wonderful, friendly and prompt. I ordered a cup of the split pea with barley and veggies and a half of the Avocado Veggie sandwich on WW. My husband ordered the potato soup and ate the other half of the Avocado Sandwich. We sat in the large dining hall with wooden floors and open beamed ceiling and mismatched furniture. The windows open to a narrow space between the neighboring building, letting only a tiny bit of light in from the grey winter sky, yet It felt warm and relaxing and we enjoyed the food. We would eat here again if we were in the neighborhood... and it was worth the wait in line. read more

I come up to Everett once a week for work and I will say this: The Sisters is one of THE BEST restaurants I have ever eaten at. I know that's a strong statement but what makes this a hallmark of great restaurants is that they can cook EVERYTHING and still make it delicious. For example, I had an Oyster Po'Boy. Amazing. I had a BLT. Blew my mind. I had their quiche. It was like soaring on the wings of an Angel. And I hate quiche. I don't know what type of fairy-dust they sprinkle in everything but this place is so good that I have to fight myself to eat the lame ass Trader Joe's wrap I bring for lunch. And even when I manage to convince myself to eat that, I end up going down to The Sisters because this place is just straight up baller. read more

Sisters is wonderful. It is located next door to the Everett Co-Op and has a wonderful vibe. The staff are very nice and talk with the patrons. If you are in a hurry to grab and go, this is not the place. The line is usually very long at lunch and you could wait up to 15 minutes to place your order. That said, I have seen all types of folks, from the local Navy crew in uniform, to some sassy pants corporate folks. There is various types of Art all over the dining area, including a wall dedicated to the Sister's Family Pictures. Its very eclectic and a must see. If you are in the mood for a solid lunch with a healthier touch, this is the place to be. I have had many of the sandwiches and i am never disappointed. Believe it or not, i really like the egg salad. I took a risk - you know, because it's egg salad - but was pleasantly surprised. There are many choices and they will customize for you, which is especially great if you have dietary restrictions. There are other options as well, such as soups, quiche, salads and hot dishes. They sell pies from scratch by the slice or whole and have other home-goods desserts. After you order and pay, grab your drink and silverware, put your tchotchke on your table and someone will bring your meal. You can stay as long as you like or get it to go. Let me say something about Everett...this lil town has become part of a major makeover that's turning it into a artsy-hipster, hip-hopsterific counter culture that i'm diggin. I spent last Memorial Day weekend up there and found so many places to do different things to where you don't need to drive 25 mins to Seattle to have fun. On my last few hours spent there, my friends took me to breakfast here and I knew before I walked in the door and sampled the smells emanating from within, that I was in for some real cookin. One of the many good things about this joint is that it sits right next to a co-op health store. I ordered a simple veggie omelet with potatoes and ginger tea. the veggies in the omelet were cooked to perfection and seemed to be slightly marinated, maybe brushed with some housemade sauce that I couldn't figure out, but it was very tasty. The potatoes were proper too and came with a side of crafted wheat toast (not that typical conventional bread). You know how when you finish eating a good breakfast that just fills you up, but not to where you're feeling overstuffed, but feeling happy and ready to take on the day with vigor?.....yeah, that's what their food did for me that morning. I'm gonna guess that they source their products from next door at the co-op because only organic foods leave me feeling the way that this food did. Some people might be get turned off by the order-at-the-counter process and grabbing your own tea, coffee, water and serving utensils, but I didn't sweat it, plus I had little time to spend there due to my train departing soon. The only minus I have with Sister's is that the tea was of the store brought variety in a packet instead of bulk. But hey, I implore people that are foodies to eat here if they visit Everett. I wanted to love this place, and perhaps my high expectations going in affected my experience. First off, I will say that the service was decent, the restaurant was clean, and it is very cute and comfortable. However, the food was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the breakfast sandwich - egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sprouts. The bread was not toasted enough and as such got soggy from the cheese. The lettuce was brown on the ends and bitter and the tomato was underripe. I took the lettuce and tomato off and it tasted okay. My partner got a blueberry pancake and a side of bacon. She enjoyed the pancake but it was cooked pretty unevenly, with half being just shy of that perfect golden brown and the other half bordering on burnt. I HATE burnt pancakes! She likes them though, so that worked out for her. The bacon was also overcooked and burnt bacon is never fun. I was also kind of hoping they might have a veggie sausage option, as they boast being veg-friendly (and they are - lots of meat free options on the menu but vegan friends, you will have to heavily modify your order to make it fit for you.) We will probably be back to try lunch. The baked goods looked delicious too but I was trying to keep it light today. read more

The MF I stopped in here one Friday morning to check out the breakfast. The door was open but the sign said closed, which caused a little confusion. We sheepishly walked in and then stared up at all the lunch menu chalkboards, wondering where the breakfast items were. No one really asked if they could help us, but people scurried past us back and forth. We finally saw a few people pick up a menu next to the register which clued us in on how things work. We ordered, were given a toy (instead of numbers) and were asked how we knew about the place. Apparently they've been in business forever and judging by the patrons at that time of the morning, most of them had been coming there for quite a while (post-retirement) which explains why no one asked us lost-looking-souls if we needed help, or direction, or anything... Food was middle of the road, but I'm finding breakfast food is hard to judge anymore because it can be made so easily at home. If I'm ever off work on a weekday (they aren't open weekends), I might try the lunch but I'm not chomping at the bit or anything. read more

This place is cozy and conveniently located directly next to a local food Co-Op. It's nice to be able to get a great breakfast or lunch, refill my bottled water, and buy my organic ingredients... Today I was hungry. I wanted something made with love and these ladies delivered just that- directly to our table. There's a reason these sweethearts have been in business for so long... (wait for it... wait for it...) they actually care... Yep! My breakfast sandwich was just like I'd make in my own kitchen, if I wanted to cook- which today I clearly didn't. The bread was toasted, whole grain, with fried egg, tomato, sprouts and bacon. It was simple and filled me perfectly. The other breakfast entree' ordered was a non-traditional eggs benedict "special of the day." Watching the man I was with devour it like a ravenous beast and rate it 5 stars was a great way to start the day. He loved the pesto, bacon, tomato and poached egg idea. Way to go Sisters! Wow! Sometimes the line goes out the door of this place :) Always daily soup and salad specials along with different kinds of quiche, and gluten free bread is offered. Faves: Breakfast burrito served with yummy salsa. (This is served with cottage cheese, I often ask for feta instead, but I love feta..) The sensuous bagel, with garlic cream cheese, olives and sun flower seeds- the veggie bagel is bomb also. But their lemon bars are awesome! I'd order two while your at it..!! read more

It's a nice environment. Lots of potential. It's a little sad that they don't do more with what they have. The menu is too big, and the guy at the counter is always rude. I come here every so often with my grandmother, because she loves it (because most of their food tastes like it is for old people). Tuna salad has WAY too much relish... their soups are usually great though! Also, lately their specials have been very creative and yummy! I appreciate how healthy most things are. Try the nut burger too! It's just hard paying for food that I could probably make better at home. This is a gem of a resturant... I have had lunch there two days in a row and I really love how fresh the food is. The soup and 1/2 sandwhich combo is a good deal. Yesterday I had a tuna sandwich and a cup of Ratotuli soup... today was a Corned beef sandwhich and split pea soup. Typically I do not order soup but theirs is AMAZING... they always have 2-3 choices and it is made fresh. This is in walking distance for my office so they will have a repeat costumers for a long time... My only con is they are only open Monday - Friday... whis they were open on the weekens. read more

The Sisters catered lunch for my work yesterday and they were not too shabby. I had to call in about 20 separate orders in the morning and they kindly delivered all the food to me at lunch time. The workers were accommodating and friendly which is not always the case when they have to take so many freaking orders over the phone with only one hour to make them! I had the tuna melt which was the special of the day and it was very, very good. I'm not sure what they put in their tuna but it had a unique taste to it and I loved every bite of it. I was a little disappointed that the sandwiches only came with regular tortilla chips but hey, no biggie. I've never been into their actual restaurant but after trying their food, I will definitely be making a stop there soon. read more

First time here. I was really looking forward to going here as the reviews are so good and I was looking for a good brunch place in Everett. We got here at 11:20 and wanted to get brunch but the guy taking our order told me they stop serving breakfast at 11:00. It's a breakfast and lunch place, you'd think they'd serve breakfast after 11? Ok. Got the shrimp sandwich with chicken noodle soup instead. Food was ok. The noodles in the soup tasted strange to me. The sandwich lacked flavor, so much so that I decided to take the other half home, heat it up and throw some cheese on it. Took a long time for the food to arrive. No spoon with my soup when they brought it over so I had to get up and get it myself, a small thing but not too customer service oriented. I wasn't aware I needed to grab utensils myself. The people bringing the food walk right by the silverware, why don't they grab it on the way? Sit down restaurant prices but you pretty much have to do a lot yourself. $28 for sandwich and soup lunch for me and my partner. All of the employees are too busy to tend to customers. Had to flag down someone to get a box for my sandwich. The bathroom required a key to use, it's in a back hallway and by the time I got there I decided to not use the bathroom as I didn't want to fuss with getting a key. The place is pretty popular. By the time we left the line was out the door. I don't get the good reviews with the poor quality service and mediocre food. I get the appeal with some as it's a funky place. I love supporting small businesses but the food and service has to be worthy of that support and this place just isn't. Won't be back. read more

This place has lots of character, charm, and is one of the only places in Everett with a variety of salad/healthy options. Chicken and Broccoli Salad was exactly as it sounds. This sandwich comes out spilling with yummy veggies and the sunflower seeds are a bonus! So filling! Served with chips and a pickle for only $8.
