The coffee was cold and the waitress was rude when I requested if we could get the coffee heated. She refused and walked away! I think it's because they ask their customers to pay the tip upfront and don't really have an insensitive for providing good service... very disappointing . read more

Local, eclectic and friendly. This place has a very homey feel to it and the food is comforting. I felt like people who were eating there had been doing so for years and it was just a very genuine ambiance. I am a meat lover but I had the best vegetarian sandwich here that was full of fresh crisp veggies and looked almost too pretty to eat. We had a post wedding brunch and ordered all of the items from Sisters Restaurant in Everett. I was very impressed with the service I received. They were busy that morning but they made the effort to have the quiches right out of the oven when I arrived so they would be perfect for cutting when got to our destination. They took time to double check the order for accuracy and to help me out to the car with all of it. My car smelled so good, I could hardly wait to eat! The morning glory muffins were delicious, the fruit salad had fresh figs and kiwi in addition to standard options, the green salad was fresh and delicious, as was the bacon. And, the quiche tasted as good as it smelled. I highly recommend Sisters Restaurant! I wish they would come open a Kansas City location. read more

Outstanding rueben sandwich, served on rye with kraut like a rueben should be. Thousand Island and horseradish is served on the side so you can add as much or as little as you wish. The Indian split pea soup was very tasty. The lemon bars are a must! Order and pay when you first walk in and then go grab a table. Half of us were served 20 minutes after ordering (not bad); the other half were served 50 minutes later (yes, the others had already eaten their lunches). We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Washington. We decided to go to The Sisters Restaurant because of the other great reviews. We were greeted by a friendly, young man (I wish I asked his name), ordered our meal and sat in a comfortable, light and airy room and enjoyed our lunch together. We were a family of 4 and all of us enjoyed our lunch. In fact, my daughter who usually does not eat too much, ate 2 sandwiches! My daughters are vegetarian and they offer a good selection of delicious choices. I love the decor in the area we sat, brick walls, with tall ceilings and a nice selection of vintage pictures. Before we left we talked with this same young man who told us about the history of this restaurant. Such a nice afternoon, which we will always remember. Excellent little breakfast/brunch/lunch spot with a ton of charm. I wish they were open on weekends because I'd love to do a lazy brunch here. You order at the counter and are given a toy to display on your table so the servers know where to bring your treats (we got a Bob The Builder). The spacious back dining room has a fun assortment of tables and chairs; it looks like they got all of their furniture at garage sales. Local art covers the walls. GF and I each got the sandwich and soup combo on a cold day while playing hooky from work. My veggie on rye was superlative, with great flavor and texture especially supplied by mashed avocado and toasted sunflower seeds. The cup of veggie split pea was really good and chunky with veggies. Girlfriend got an outstanding grilled cheese on sourdough; her cup of ratatouille was rich and flavorful but heated a bit unevenly...minus one-sixteenth of a star for that. So this is technically 4 and 15/16ths stars. A great little community spot. Can't wait to play hooky again and eat here. read more

Anything is better than Subway. Sisters offers a nice range of hot items, sandwiches, salads, soups and baked goodies. The service was excellent. Everyone was helpful, kind and attentive. They seemed to have an older crowd here for lunch today, but I love hanging with elders so it was a treat for me. I had a no-frills turkey on wheat. It was okay. All the ingredients were fresh. The chips almost tasted like sun chips. Just that with a can of 'pop' cost me a bit over $9. A bit pricy, but in my mind I was paying more for the excellent service than the mediocre food. read more

I ordered a Blt without the T and added avocado, on sourdough. You order at the front than are handed an action figure to take to your table. I chose Sully from Monaters inc. duh. The guy taking the order was super funny, kind, and efficient. Everyone here is friendly and warm. I made my mom order a sourdough biscuit with her salad which I ate most of. It was amazing. I've been hearing a lot about this little cafe so I gave it a try today! They have a variety of sandwiches, soups, quiche and desserts! I had the quiche and soup combo for $8.25. It was pretty good. The Canadian split pea soup with root veggies (gluten free) was different than the southern style of split pea soup I am used to. I am a huge fan of the breakfast here. I have tried the eggs benedict with the balsamic vinegar topping, the sausage and biscuit, french toast, and pancakes. The hubby has tried the omelet with avocadoes and added jalapenos. The breakfasts are outstanding. I love the potatoes. Very tasty and flavorful. The pancakes with blueberries are awesome. The avocados in the omelet are awesome and they don't stint you on the amount. The baked goods are tasty. I have bought the apple pie, shortbread with lemon cookie, and the awesome chocolate tollhouse bar. Really love this place for breakfast!! They fresh squeeze the juice. Some months the OJ is not as sweet and tasty as some other months. The grapefruit juice is nice and tart. They leave the pulp in so don't be surprised. read more

Stopped in to get something good to eat, and I left with something I didn't want, hole in my shirt sleeve. A suction cup with a hook snagged it as I walked through the doors into the restaurant. My husband and I stopped at The Sisters while traveling to Bellingham from Seattle during a recent trip to Washington. I was in a mood for something healthy because I knew the next few days were going to be all about brewery food. Not being from the area, we didn't know how popular this place is, especially between 12-2 on a weekday. When we walked up, there was already a line out the door. Since we weren't in the mood for anything else in immediate walking distance, we stayed in line and looked over the menu, which is sandwiches, salads, and desserts. I ordered a tuna melt and my husband had a reuben. My husband really enjoyed his sandwich, but unfortunately I did not like mine. Ordering tuna sandwiches are always tricky because you never know how far they are going to go with the celery. I personally hate celery, so any celery is too much. But, I will say, The Sisters adds a lot, like even a person who likes celery would probably comment on how much celery is in the tuna. I ate most of my sandwich because I was starving, but if there wasn't a line out the door, I probably would have reordered something else. Overall, I do recommend The Sisters is you're in the mood for sandwiches. If we find ourselves in Everett again, I will be happy to try something else on their menu. read more

I used to come almost once a week or more. If Willow was cooking I knew it would be good. Most of the other time, if she was not cooking the food would be inedible. Under cooked French toast, pancakes or burnt. They would try to hide the burnt part by placing the burnt side facing down on the bottom. I started to realize they really just don't care, no pride taken to provide someone with meal prepared with care. I ended up taking a long break. Then one day last week I went in for a quick lunch. This is the final day I will ever return; when the cook brought out the food there was a fruit garnish that was completely rotten all the way through. The pineapple garnish didn't have slightly browned edges, and was not mildly old. I'm talking completely rotten all the way through, black, brown, purple and smelled like it was in a garbage can for days. This was not even facing down, it was facing up right where I, the cook and anyone else could see it. Furthermore when it was set down it had a fly trailing it and was sitting on it as I looked at my plate. I was literally shocked. This made me realize, not a single person that handled my dish had an ounce of care about what they were doing, or what they were serving. Accidents happen, but this came down to care and no one cared from whoever cut the fruit, to plating it, or serving it. I knew at that moment I could never return, if something like that could make it out on my plate, I don't want to know what's going on that I am unaware of. I did show the gentleman in front who I am very fond of, and he was sympathetic. I felt I had a moral obligation to leave this review. I hope that this is read also by those who make decisions that they are able to make the adjustments necessary in order to bring people who actually care about what they are serving. read more
