Heard lots of positive things about this place, mostly that it was a Boulder staple. Unfortunately, my experience here was sub par to poor. The food took forever to come out, and frankly, wasn't that good either. The quirk about this place is that it looks very dive bar-y. The ceilings are very short, and I'm only 5'9". They also seated us in a room with very loud open plumbing (which is also one of their "quirks.") So with this, we kinda had to shout to eachother. One thing I liked, were the autographs on the wall. I really had high hopes for this place. Probably won't be dining here again... read more

Great atmosphere and awesome food! I ordered the jalapeños wrapped in bacon which set my mouth afire! I love hot stuff but these were a bit hard to handle as none of the pepper guts had been removed. I also got the Texas burger as featured on DDD and it was delicious!! The beer was cheap and they had a great selection. Be sure to write your name on the ceiling!! read more

The Sink - Bacon wrapped jalapeños - Pizza Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

I absolutely love this place. It looks like a strange little hole in the wall, with low ceilings and graffiti on the walls. Then you really get to know the place and it gets better every time you go. The low ceilings add character. What I once thought of as "graffiti", I now see as amazing, creative, and hilarious artwork!! The drinks are crazy good. The pizza is amazing!! I would eat there every day of I lived close. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. In my opinion, their food is horrible. I would only eat their food if I was drunk, but by the time that happens the kitchen is closed. They have a great bar though. I thoroughly enjoy coming here early and staying late for the drinks. The bar tenders were great back in my college days and we always had a pretty great time. Their $1 wells are definitely worth the crowd. Still don't think I'd ever eat there for a meal though. I've never had a good thing their - including their burgers. read more

The pizza is fantastic...I think I've fallen in love! Service was great but you could tell they were busy, atmosphere was dive-ish and eclectic. My boyfriend got the brisket reuben and said it was delicious and to add the sink sauce to it. Drink list had lots of beers, some specialty martini's, and your basic bar drinks. Looking for good food in Boulder? Head to the sink. read more

Burgers slap. Mac and cheese on another level. Vibe inside is amazing. Can't go wrong

My friends and I showed up after watching the Buffs play the UNC Bears. There was about 6 of us all together. The bartender from Alaska, seemed visibly upset because of our presence. The restaurant was close to being empty at the time. This bartender demanded we move in order to alleviate any future potential traffic congestion towards the bathroom. I felt his demand was made to make us feel uncomfortable. I mentioned that I couldn't understand, why out of anybody else there, we were made to move. The bartender abruptly shouted, "You're cut off!" I told him my intention was not to offend him.I let him know I had served 2 combat tours and felt I should be treated the same like everyone else. He responded, "Im from Alaska and I killed people too!" I graduated from Greeley, and had never experienced this type of treatment at a bar there. I was dumbfounded by this sort of behavior. We told the bartender we'll finish our drinks and go. As we left, another patron felt the need to tell me he supported us and felt the bartender was overwhelmingly aggressive. read more

Came to this restaurant for the atmosphere and was very impressed with the food as well! I loved how the beer selection included only local beers. Nicole was a great waitress and got us everything we needed, despite clearly being busy with her other tables as well. The only reason I cannot give this location 5 stars is because the prices were a little higher than I would expect for a burger joint in a college town. The beers on the drink list also did not have prices next to them, unlike the cocktail section of the menu. Had I known my drink was going to cost around $8, I may have just gotten one to share with my boyfriend instead of spending $16 on two. While everything was delicious, I am a college student myself and would probably not be able to afford the same meal next time I come in. read more

This place is very unique as it's decor is more like an underground bar with low ceilings and tons of graffiti but when you look closer, it's not really graffiti but people's signatures and messages. The restaurant actually encourages customers to write on any non-art parts of walls and ceilings which is pretty neat because you never know when you'll come back and still see your writings. Robert Redford worked here as a janitor, Barack Obama visited and subsequently got a pizza named after him, Anthony Bourdain and Guy Fieri visited, and this is the oldest restaurant in Boulder...that alone should make you want to come here. But the food is really good as well and there is a lot of variety for everyone. I got the Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon salad, my friend got the POTUS pizza, and my other friend got the Mesa Chicken sandwich. I got a taste of all of them and all were very good. My salad was very appetizing and I was full after the meal. The waitress was super nice and was very attentive filling our waters when they got low. The price is very inexpensive which made the meal even sweeter. We were staying near Pearl Street Mall area but I'm glad we ventured to the hill and ate here. read more

The service here was very friendly, and the vibe felt very young and fun. A good spot for classic American foods- we had the burgers which were delicious. They also had plenty of vegetarian options, and I loved the veggie burger (I highly recommend if you're a fan of goat cheese like me). Fun drink options too! read more

Went here for my friend's birthday and as soon as I walked in,I could see all these drawings everywhere, which I found entertaining, but a little bit obnoxious. So don't come here if you're looking to relax and enjoy your meal. This place is definitely busy and the waiter we had couldn't attend to us too much, and he didn't even bother checking on us because he was too busy. The food did come pretty fast though, but I have to say that my chicken sandwhich was dry. I don't understand the deal with Boulder, and the way they prepare their chicken. It's always dry and bland in flavor. I did like the fries I got on the side though. That was good, other than that, this place is average. Nothing too memorable, except for the decor. read more

It had been a few years since the last Sink visit, but remembered why: excellent pizzas with perfectly done crust (if not somewhat funky shaped edges!) that you can't stop eating and a nice selection/quality of toppings. The Buddha is primo along with the Slaughterhouse (5 meats!). Large pizzas are huge! Nice selection of beer on tap and good service (a Sunday evening during the summer so not too many CU students around). read more

I will only say with a sort of dive bar atmosphere, the lighting is far too bright. Good tap selection though. They had the Twisted Pine -bragget on draft- yum. read more

Perhaps I forgot, or maybe it's new, either way the Sink offers solo pizza sizes. This is perfect for a single serving. Pick your crust (I still dig honey whole wheat), pick your sauce, pick your toppings... A plain solo starts at just under $6 with additional toppings added on from there. The creole spiced chicken was pleasantly spicy and went fantastic with the caramelized onions, spinach, and blue cheese crumbles I selected. I often don't order pizza because we don't want a gigantic one with slices leftover. This is the perfect alternative. Kudos to the Sink for having a special selection at the bar for Colorado-based distillers as well. Free WiFi. read more

Slow service and burger was supposed to be medium but was rare. Forgot appetizer and blamed it on kitchen. Not sure why its an "icon" to CU Boulder. read more

Great location and vibe throughout. Patio seating nice for perfect fall days to grab lunch in the sun. Colleague and both got burgers. Thick, juicy, and cooked to temperature. I'd definitely consider coming back here for lunch in the Boulder area. It loses a star because our server forgot to put in my appetizer order. read more

Since CU football games are, regrettably, alcohol-free events and the food in the stadium is over-priced and not that great, I find myself at The Sink more often than not before heading to Folsom Field to root on the Buffs. Err...well, truthfully, I find myself at The Sink anytime I'm in Boulder looking for a good time. I don't need the excuse of a football game to drink beer and have a great burger, but it certainly does make it more fun. I've tried a few of the burgers, and I feel fairly confident saying that you probably can't go wrong with any of them. The Sink sauce is really good- I don't usually go for "barbeque-type" sauces on my burgers but this one I really enjoyed. Enjoy it with fries and a cold beer and you're in business. As a side note- before football games they have a little setup in the waiting area where you can get cans of beer and JUNGLE JUICE on tap. Nice. read more

Awesome location and ambiance!! The sink perfectly captures the college culture of CU Boulder. The walls and ceilings are decorated with artistic graffiti and photos that provide a laid back and casual vibe. The menu reflects a wide variety of burgers, pasta dishes, and pizzas. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken, the POTUS pizza, and any of the burgers! The sorority girl cocktail is also apparently a big hit :) read more

I've always gone to The Sink because I live so close to it. Since covid, I know it has been extra hard for businesses to adapt and stay successful. Every time I have gone to The Sink, I am beyond stoked on the food, along with the service. The service is fast and welcoming and the food absolutely slaps. 10/10 would recommend. read more

The food is very delicious! We went there on St. Patrick's Day for some Irish fare but it looked like there was a lot on the menu. I'm planning on going back for sure. read more

Went back for a re trial. Nate and Jordan were taking care of me and my friend. I had the sink burger with jalapenos and the spicy jack cheese and it kicked my taste buds into the "hot" zone for sure. My friend had the Brewers burger and confirmed my past review, its awesome. We had their beer special which was a heffeweisen and rolled off after lunch to go do stuff. Good service from a classic establishment. Ill be back and I'll bring my friends too! read more

Well-prepared and wide selection of menu. I enjoyed the "Cowboy Reuben", a beefier version of the deli classic. The convivial college burger-joint atmosphere was welcome, and accommodated our party of 8 well. A wide selection if local beers also a big plus. Service was attentive, patient with our complex requests. There is non consensus on reservations...ranges from a flat No to "Call ahead" to waiting for whole party, We finally had a local snag abtable with a reservation. Better food than most of the surrounding joints, and convenient to our event at the Macky Auditorium. a pleasant evening! read more

I went for the first time at the recommendation of all of my friends and I don't plan on going back. Yes, the building and atmosphere is cool but the food was very subpar. It was not very good and for not very good food it was expensive. The nachos were the best part of my meal but even then I've definitely had better everywhere else. I think the hype has more to do with longstanding presence on the hill than actual quality. However, I went for lunch so maybe it picks up around dinner/ at night. read more

One of my favorite Boulder staples. The Sink is a Boulder nightlife staple, and an amazing restaurant as well! My.absolute.favorite is the caprese panini. I love caprese in any form but this is amazing! The staff is friendly, the inside is so fratastic its sickening. We love pre-gaming here for CU games! Amazingly fun place! read more

The food was good. It was not on Pearl St. Mall but on "the Hill" part of Boulder. Parking was easy to find when I went there. For $1.25/hr parking on the street, it was a done deal. I ordered the mini sinkburgers. Not a big fan of raw onion but love grilled. So despite that I didnt get lettuce, I ordered the sliders. Nothing special, but a honest, good juicy burger. What I didn't like about this place and ultimately made me give only three stars is that I had to wait more than half an hour before I got my beer. The waitress did not somehow want to take my order. She didn't seem to be busy so I don't know why. But i'm sure she had her reasons. The wall arts were hilarious and awesome. It was a unique place that everyone should definitely check out before going to Five Guys (which is right next to this joint) or the Cheesecake Factory on Pearl St. Mall. read more

comes soggy the containers didn't have holes..I might go to this place again but probably not delivery since came soggy. Also comes burnt, forgets sauce or sauce spills on food. Very incompetent read more

The sink never disappoints, whether you come to drink and have a social night out for a quick bite to eat everything is always delicious. They recently changed their menu and added a ton of different and new items. New and noteworthy items include the Mac and cheese, they have a few different types that you can get but the buffalo Mac is pretty fantastic! Another one of my personal favorites is the herbie combination, a burger Fries and a salad all for a great price. Drinking here is always a great time! A friendly tip is to order the strawberry kamikazee shot, it has strawberry purée added into it and it's so delicious you'll want to make it a drink! read more

Crazy cool artwork, a storied history and a great burger. I have a family member attending CU Boulder and we came by to visit him and take him to dinner. Immediately walking into the establishment you see eccentric artwork from the wall to ceiling. The staff was very nice and the food came out quickly. Our party choose a variety of burgers from the menu. I opted for the Spicy Bleu because it had Sriracha and bleu cheese, an amazing combination. I also enjoy the Bacon wrapped jalapenos for an appetizer, which were equally amazing. My only complaint is the buns for the hamburgers fell apart too easily. I really enjoyed this classic college restaurant especially the unique artwork that covers the place. I would definitely come back to try more items from the menu. I hear that pizza and reubens are great. read more

The sink is an awesome locally owned restaurant in Boulder. The food at the sink is very good. The sink is so famous for its food it was once visited by Guy Fieri on the T.V. show "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". The atmosphere is outstanding with beautiful graffiti-style art covering the walls. The staff is very pleasant and I have never had a single bad experience eating at the sink! read more

Wow, we stumbled upon this place and it ended up being one of the best parts of our CO trip! STUNNED by how good the food was, the Freshie pizza was the best pizza I've ever had, literally. If you're in Boulder, you need to come here - you will NOT be disappointed! The environment and art alone are reasons to come here. It has such a cool history too - ask the staff and they'll tell you all about it. Will definitely be coming back here next time I visit. read more

Quite possibly the most disgusting restaurant I have ever dined at. Burgers really are not that complicated, but somehow the taste mimicked that of the smell that emanates from a public toilet. In addition, service was slow and rude. Not one person in a party of 7 enjoyed their meal. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Well, if I was a partying CU student and need to satisfy the munchies, this would be an awesome place. Alas, for the rest of us, it's a dingy, low, basement with a lot of interesting graffiti, art, and historical tidbits on the wall to distract you from the below-average food. The staff is adept at drawing your eyeballs (especially those of young men), but less skilled at their actual job. Robert Redford is rumored to have once worked here. They seem to resting on a combination of students looking for a hangout, nostalgic folks remembering their own good times here, and the inertia behind the simple the fact that they've been around for so long. read more

I ordered the spicy goat burger medium rare. The burger was over cooked a little making it medium. The goat cheese was a different twist with some Portuguese sauce on it. Over all it was not a bad burger . The booth I was in was poorly lit and I could not even read my 5 page menu. Its more bary than a restaurant but it was fun. service was excellent and friendly. read more

A funky place in the heart of Boulder with food made from scratch using no additives or preservatives. I say funky because the place is decorated with graffiti which you can add to. They serve your normal fair -- hamburgers, ribs, etc. A pleasant surprise was that I actually got my cheeseburger cooked the way I asked for it -- medium rare. Most of the time my burgers come out well done because the venues are so afraid of undercooking them. The fries here are seasoned to be delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. If you're in the Boulder area, this place should be on your to-do list read more

PERFECT. My Dad my brother and I were in town for ~6 hours. We lived in Boulder from 1968 - 1976. None of us ever went to The Sink ;-) So it was about time. Boulder was crazy that day, SO much going on. But we had a great table, great service .. and GREAT burgers, fries and onion rings.
