If you like board games, trivia, and/or sub sandwiches, then Silver Key Lounge may be the place for you! I recently went to their Friday night trivia for the first time, and while it's extremely challenging and requires a plethora of random knowledge and facts, it makes for a super fun group hang with friends! I ordered a turkey sub sandwich from the bar during a break in trivia rounds and it came out delicious. They also have a variety of beers on tap and a ton of snacks you can purchase. Though I didn't play any board games this time around I was impressed with their wide selection and will definitely come back another time to try out some games. Overall it was a great first time experience and I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!

    Great late hours!

Very cool place. They charge $10 for a table, if you spend more than $10 on drinks, then the intial table cost is taken off your tab. My family and I enjoyed it! Had beers and played a couple of new games for us. Our favorite was Haiclue! We ended up ordering it online as we played it because we loved it so much. Clever game. If you like wordgames, then you'll love it. Lots of seating here too, great for groups!

One of the best game bars I have been to! Staff is very friendly and informative, and they have a wide variety of beer, cocktails, and non alcoholic drinks. We got the tiki drink and the dragons breath cocktail, and not only did they look amazing but they tasted great too! They also have an extensive collection of board games to try while there as well.

Cool place but our game master didn't know any of the party games we wanted to try. They have a huge game library so we played Sushi Go, Coup, and C&H Trial by Trolley (fairly easy to learn games). The cheese platter was a little sad for $7 but I understand covid restrictions means a lot of foods have to come pre-packaged. They don't have a liquor license yet so I stuck to dr pepper and butterscotch "beer". They were out of a couple items like the Moose Drool (?) beer and fitz's root beer. Overall it was an interesting new experience with some friends I haven't seen in a long time.

So many games to check out!

Excellent service and game selection. We asked for recommendations and the games they referred were right up our alley.

Once you try it, you will understand the name. One of the more innovative cocktails I have ever had... and I ended up having two! So delicious and an experience in itself!! We enjoyed some light bites as well - the Edamame Hummus and Shishito Peppers. Both were fantastic! I love that their menu points out which items are gluten-free... and our server even warned me that the plantain chips in the Edamame Hummus could have cross-contamination... so I very much appreciate that heads up! I opted to order them anyway and I am so glad I did - so good! And I experienced no gluten issues. Awesome! I'm already looking forward to a return trip! I love the giant disco balls and the aesthetic of this place. We started with the appletini and lemongrass highball (non-alcoholic). My friend and I ended up switching drinks because we liked each other's more than our own. For the second round, we ordered the brandy spritz and primrose martini. We weren't fans of the brandy spritz, although my friend grew into it. The primrose martini was quite good, I liked it better than the appletini. For snackies, we ordered the glizzy gaunlet, which was basically a tower of carbs. It came with 5 mini dogs with milk bread, and potato wedges. There were 3 sauces, my favorite in order were the: truffle dijonnaise, kosho aioli, and korean ketchup. We enjoyed this more than the food at Filthy Animal. Although it was pricey ($22) for just carbs and hardly any protein. The milk bread was delicious and the mini dogs were pretty good too. The potato wedges were cooked perfectly, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would I return? Probably not. The food was better than the drinks but it wasn't outstanding.

So many cool games to play, lots of drink choices, and an inviting atmosphere makes this place a great venue to visit for a night out with friends or even a solo visit! Unfortunately, that is only when this place is functioning properly. The food is really not great, but my biggest gripe by far about this place is the service. I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher.

Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

Since we were planning the event from out of town, having a team we could trust was incredibly important -- and Bailey and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly. A special thank you to Bailey, the Event Coordinator, who was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel easy and stress-free leading up to the event and the night of the dinner. The highlight was definitely the Rafter Room -- it was even more impressive in person than in the pictures. The space had a great atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner and made the evening feel really special for our family and guests. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical beer bar. Relatively small inside, but they also have a patio out front with picnic style seating. Casual. My type of bar. My only complaint? I hate picnic style seating because it doesn't give you back support. Which made me want to avoid the patio. Service (5/5): Super friendly service. The guy working the bar did a great job. I ordered one beer and called it a night. A seamless experience from beginning to end. They also have complimentary water in a water cooler, which is always a nice ou Food (N/A): I read they have food trucks, but I didn't see any when I visited. I had dinner prior anyway. Drinks (4.5/5): I love trying new beers and Chupacabra has an excellent selection. They have a rotating screen above the bar. Overall, a cool spot in downtown Mesa. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood!
