I only go to the shipping store because it is convenient for me. No matter where you go to ship things it just seems crazy expensive no matter where you go. I don't know why shipping has to be so crazy expensive. The service I always receive is top notch. The women that work at this location are always very helpful. It's just shipping is expensive. Initially walking in everything was great. WARNING: All basic shipping standards were performed incorrectly: The label had incorrect information on it. The mom struggled to put in the correct addresses, and I had to remind her to finish the first address. She also weighed out both tracking labels incorrectly with different weights; both for the same item. I had to drive back to the store to get a full refund, after seeing the weight differences. The transaction was very uncomfortable and made me not trust that they would ship my item on time, so I took both labels with me to ship elsewhere. Thankfully I realized the mistake, or the item would have been sent back for incorrect weights and taken longer. Her attitude/energy was off, and I should have followed my gut. The child behind the counter in a cage was very tacky and created poor customer service. If a simple job cannot be completed, causing the business loose customers, and money; then the owners should rethink this childcare arrangement at a shipping store. The state offers free childcare for individuals who have children by accident and are not financially ready for childcare costs. I apologize for the review, but honesty helps future customers, so they do not have wasted time and basic shipping issues. read more

The Shipping Store... what can I say? Ive been going there for many years and can almost promise you'll be in and out in almost a matter of 10 minutes!! Guaranteed... I've read some of the recent posted reviews and most of it I find to be true... Is it convenient? Absolutely! Is the staff young? Oh yes they are! Which to me makes it fun though....who cares how old they are as long as they are serious about their job. Right!? Are they helpful!? Very much so!! Is it a bit pricey!?? Also, oh yes!!! But, the convenience of just taking your package(s) and they do the rest for you is PRICELESS!!! You get what you paid for! I had about 15 Christmas presents going to all the corners of the United States and some in between, from NY, to Florida, Maryland, Oklahoma and Alaska!! different sizes, different shapes, some fragile, you name it .. I purchased, (on site), the bit highly prized, but also very convenient, sturdy shipping boxes and the very knowledgeable, handy boys sized the presents, they cut up the boxes for each of the different destinations, packed, bubble wrapped (which also got at the store) and then taped them away for me. They gave me all the possible prices and choices on when I wanted them to arrive, and finally, I paid. All I did was bring the bags with the presents in and the rest was done by the staff. That simple! No lines, No hassles, No extra stress! They know me by name and are always eager to strike up a conversation, specially about my kids! I particularly want to thank Zach and Brandon for making what's already a stressful situation, in an already stressful and busy time of the year, a very simple, fast and pleasant visit to the local store...They make packing and shipping a total breeze!! I wouldn't have it any other way!! and wouldn't change it for a any line at my local post office even if it may be cheaper, which by the way is not always the case. I love my USPS but going there can be a very lengthy and very frustrating event. (Not to mention that, they do not pack my things for me! I have to be ready to have my boxes packed, sealed and ready to go!) and in my case, I'm never that prepared! . So, I love how The Shipping Store does it all for me! Is it worth it!!? Absolutely, baby! The staff is professional, efficient, respectful, funny, very patient while I searched for some of the addresses on my phone!, (that's a challenge in itself!!) some addresses they already had on file, which is very nice for repeat shipping. The Shipping Store on 242 has been a good place for me to rent a mail box for more than four years. The current manager, Andrew, has been knowledgeable, helpful, positive and friendly. The other workers have also been friendly and good to work with. I have received many packages there through the years and sent a few by UPS. It has been good to have a secure place to have packages delivered and it is conveniently located in an area where I run other errands. It was also handy to make copies there on the fly a time or two. I have found this a good place to ship or receive materials, and to get other business services. read more

This place should be ashamed! I brought a small box L-13 W-10 H-9 weight 5lbs to ship to my mom in California. The guy that helped me said UPS group was the cheapest rate at $36.00, I was like wow...I ship stuff to my mom all the time, bigger, heavier boxes and have never paid that much. When I said no thank you I will try Fed Ex store or UPS store directly he had a bit of an attitude. However, I didn't care and just left. Juts got back from the UPS store & the same exact box (the guy at UPS store even let me screen shot the screen) was $11.68. These people are robbing people blind. I get it you are a business and need to make money but stealing is what you are doing. I could see it being $5.00 maybe even $10.00 more but this was way too high. The manager (guy that helped me called to discuss) and we got into a heated argument. Bottom line is he lied and is now going back saying how much his rent is, and he should of offered a lower price. Sad that it takes someone calling you out for a better rate to be offered. Word to the wise, you might save time running in here & shipping but you will pay more (way more) in the end than just going to your local UPS or Fed Ex store. read more

Love this place. They really look out for small businesses which I love. I go to them for my shipping needs because it's right across the street and they always go out of their way to try to save me a little bit of money even if it means going somewhere else.
