We consider his general advices the reason for the rating. There appears to be Chinese doctors on-site. We have never use that services. From the pristine state of the shop to the warm hospitality I received from the moment I entered, this place is definitely a shop I'll be returning to often. The staff are remarkably friendly and genuinely helpful, playing a huge role in making the experience smooth as silk. I came in with a prescription from abroad and with their help we managed to figure out a dosage to start me off with. I do appreciate that they gave me a small supply to trial things (just to see if it works) rather than trying to sell me up on a larger batch. Staff were focused on what I needed and thoroughly explained things rather than trying to make a quick buck; we discussed symptoms to verify medication appropriateness, double checked on whether the pricing made sense for my prescription dosage, and even reminded me to drink hot water for my headaches. It also helps that they know both Mandarin and Cantonese to boot, so between all these factors I certainly feel like I can trust them to know their stuff and treat folks with respect. Even on the financial front, a week's supply of medication for $40 is competitive with prices back in Hong Kong, so pretty much everything seems top notch. We'll see whether the dosage is about right, but Willie promptly gave his card to me just in case I had questions or if anything didn't make sense. Their customer service is worth praising and I plan on being a regular here.

I started seeing her after Natalie Miner, the only acupuncturist I've fully trusted. And I'm happy to say that I could tolerate even more needles this time, thanks to her predecessor helping to pave the way. Often I'm nervous seeing a new provider, but she was able to go through a complex laundry list of medical ailments and help me start to un-peel the layers. She looks at not just the physical energy and how to restore flow to your cells and muscles, but some of the psychological barriers that may get in the way of full healing. And without the judgement you sometimes get in the medical world. I love that she had a way of calming the body with a few well-placed needles before proceeding with the more sensitive areas. And she asks if you can tolerate it first- she doesn't just abandon you. I will definitely return and finally have new hope in helping some stubborn chronic issues. Thankful she accepts my UHC insurance, in-network- not something to take for granted. :)

I've been coming to see Olivia and David for over 10 years and they are both very skilled and gifted acupuncturist!! They also helped my son when he was going through growing pains as a young teenager. They've also helped me with my chronic pain throughout the years , since I was in an accident. They are both very caring, and no up-to-date medical information. David also likes to make a number of herbal tees, tinctures, and solves! I'm so lucky to have found them!! I will continue to visit them and it's always great to get a good nights sleep after my acupuncture and cupping appointment!! I suggest everybody at least check them out!! plus I love their new Sunnyville Office. It's closer for me. Lol they also have an office in Brentwood California in case you're in the East Bay!!

During…read morethis period, I have not only visited doctors in conventional medicine, but also tried numerous alternative ways, such as Chinese herbalists and acupuncturists, some procedures (such as LipiFlow and Scope lens) are very expensive, to no avail. This year the symptoms got so severe, I went to see a specialist at UCSF who mentioned that some of her patients get relieve from the help of an acupuncturist. I was very dubious at first but since I basically couldn't see any more, and the acupuncturist, Dr. Liang, has extremely impressive credentials, I decided to give him a try: at least this time someone is known for getting real help with exactly the same issue (my previous experiences with acupuncture in particular all resulted in wasted time and money). At the first appointment with dr Liang I felt that his treatment methods and technique were quite unique. He let me lie on my back first and placed needles on my stomach, face, arms and legs for 45 minutes; then he took out all the needles and let me lying on my stomach and put needles on my back. It took me more than one and a half hour to finish the first treatment. I had the feeling that he knew what he was doing. To my surprise, my eyes feel much better in the next morning, after only one treatment! I was so excited because this gave me confidence to continue with the treatment. Now after about 10 sessions of treatment my symptoms are much more improved, which is way beyond expectations! I feel almost normal again and I am confident that I am on my way to get even better (I will update my review). Dr. Liang not only is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but also put in a lot of thinking into each patient and always try hard to help his patients. He is also very honest: if he can't help you he will tell you. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Liang here and I highly recommend him to any one who needs help beyond conventional medicine.

I decided to see the young man to whom she transferred her business and he gets less than 1-star from me. First, I exchanged 8 text messages with him before he identified that he was NOT Catherine Burns! Already a little suspect. Then when I was explaining why I had come in, he proceeded to mansplain to me why my heart rate might be elevated, that if I was concerned I should see my primary care physician, and how to take my blood pressure at home. During the treatment, while I was in the room by myself "relaxing", he was in the next room making a commotion (it sounded like those cupping cups being removed and thrown into a bin: crash, bang, clatter!) After he removed the needles and left me to collect myself, I felt a pain in my hand. There was a lump that looked like half a hard-boiled egg under my skin! When I pointed it out to him, and asked if there was anything I should be looking out for that might indicate things were getting worse, and also asked if there was anything I should do like ice or heat, the only response I got was that it was a hematoma and it was fine and it would resolve in about a day. No advice, no compassion, no bedside manner throughout the entire appointment! He did send me a text to check on me 2 days later. After I gave him an update, he continued to tell me how common this was, to which I responded that in the 40 years I've received acupuncture, and across my friends and family who receive acupuncture, we have never seen this before! To which he condescendingly asked whether any of us were medical professionals and then texted me NIH articles about the side effects of acupuncture. Then he asked how to invoice me! WOW!!! The nerve! Definitely NEVER going back! So - anyone know a good acupuncturist???
