L'AMI ARTISAN BEAUTE Wonderful is the only word to describe…read morethis skin care and beauty salon in Cupertino. I'm no expert on skin care, facials, or detoxes, but I'm super impressed upon my first (and definitely) not last visit. L'Ami offers facial treatments that hydrate and support cellular regeneration. This will be on my next trip, but today, we're going to talk about my food detox session that I had, that was not only refreshing, but educational, as well. What you will notice upon entering the salon, is that the place is super clean, unlike other establishments. Cleanliness is the first and most important priority at L'Ami. With the foot detox treatment, this is paramount. As such, clean new bags are placed in the water basins where your feet get detox. Once the treatment is done, the entire bag is disposed of, preventing any other person form using the same (dirty) water. L'Ami doesn't cut corners by using bags over and over! For the foot detox treatment, I sat on a very comfortable massage chair (lovely)! The water is clean at the start, but once the electrodes are connected to your arm, and the machine is running for ~25 minutes, the toxins go out through the pores of your feet and turn the water yellow, green, or red, depending on what is being cleansed. As a first-timer, the experience can be quite trippy to see all the stuff leaving our body, but once you read the educational pamphlets that are provided while the treatment is undergoing, you get a sense of appreciation that the treatment is wonderful for your body. Thanks, L'Ami!!! Once done, I felt totally refreshed!!! When you visit L'Ami, not only will your body feel refreshed, but you learn so much more about your own body, and how to take care of it. Tina is very knowledgeable, and always happy to explain things to you and the benefits of organic ingredients in skin care products. The foot detox was great. I'm looking forward to the heavenly facial and (haircut) next!

Tip on the pre-discount total…read more The pricing here is extremely dishonest. They offered a $30 discount but then manipulated the numbers to claw it back through the tip. Be very careful when paying! It's ridiculous that they expected a full tip for self-service. Usually, applying sunscreen is the final step of a professional facial, but they told me do it myself. You shouldn't have to tip for services you ended up performing on yourself. I'm very unhappy with the manager's attitude. The constant stream of calls and texts has become a real nuisance. Be careful and double-check your receipts here. I been here do my facial for 3+ years, I've been paying for three years, and this is the 'service' I get? Happy we choose this location when my cousin and I went last month. So far my skin has been behaving since (pores still small, no noticeable black spots, but still breaking out :/ (acne) Friendly and professional experience we had. Knocking off one star bc their menu wasn't updated -- I wanted to do the Cryo lift/treatment and was told they had stopped this service during the height of the pandemic. I ended up getting the Express Facial ($119) + congested package: - fruit enzyme exfoliation - ultra sonic deep exfoliation - hydro dermabrasion - intensive extractions - disenfecting/ antimicrobial treatment - pore sterilizing - high frequency - weightless hydration After taking pictures of my face with their iPad (could request after visit for them to send pictures via text) based on the Kenia's assessment, she said my skin was a bit congested. So she ended up using a tool to extract the pores off my nose. It was a painful experience that my nose was red until the next day (We had a 6 p.m. appointment). I've had facials done before and this was the most painful one yet. I know I spent more than half hour with this tech, but felt rushed and left hanging when her next client arrived. Was handed the skin regimen, post care instructions, took my payment and that was that. I know during the treatment we had talked about post-care, but wasn't sure if we were to go over it again so they could potentially sell some of their products to me that were neatly aligned on the wall? My cousin's tech followed through all the way until she took my cousin's payment. To return to this location again? Maybe. Recommend to others, sure. It would be helpful to know what your skin needs so you can purchase the facial care needed.

MIIN is a Korean laser so I wanted to check out this technology. Heejung is an amazing RN. She is very careful and detailed with the process and super sweet. I also appreciate the way she applies the after treatment sunscreen, as she applies it thoroughly and also with outward and upward strokes to promote lifting of the skin and blood circulation. So far I have had 6 sessions and can see the noticeable fading of sunspots. Yes it takes quite a few sessions but it works (US has RNs for med spas whereas in Asia it's primarily MD only, so the types of allowable lasers and scope of practice is different). I also want to give a shoutout to Vicky who is also super sweet. She assists with consultations and scheduling and is very knowledgeable. She is also bilingual in mandarin for those with language barriers. Overall I recommend this type of laser and medspa :)

Maryam has been incredible as my provider for fraxel laser, microneedling, and RHA redensity treatments. I've also received diamondglows here. It's a great refresher for your face. Maryam also provided tips on maximizing results and always takes your opinion in her recommendations. Altogether, my face has vastly improved. You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it.
