I've now been to Eddie twice. He listened, then quickly went to work. I've walked out happy both times and the cut last 6 weeks, which is great for short hair. I'm still making a few tweaks as I figure out what I want but he makes suggestions for what he thinks would match my style. He's easy to talk to and work with and is reasonably priced. Very cool setup here - there are 28 individual small salons inside here. I came here to get a haircut from Lilly in #23. She's done my hair before and it's always a simple, easy-to-maintain haircut for less than $30. She offered coffee, tea or water and free wifi. My cut was a simple trim, so it took less than half an hour. I would recommend making an appointment. Lilly is pretty flexible and can likely schedule you in (everyday 9-7 except Tuesdays), but if you're doing a complicated hair treatment, make sure you budget a few hours. If it is after Sola's normal business hours, the front door may be locked. There's a keypad to the left of the door where you can scroll through the directory for your stylist's number and call them to let you in. This is a review for Lilly in room 24. I usually get consultations before to see what the hairdresser's work and see what their abilities are. My sister and I both got separate consultations (On different days) with Lilly who assured us she can do what we both wanted (She said my sister might be a little difficult because of her previous dyed hair) she even booked us together so she can work on us back to back! The day of the appointment comes and she had me come in at 5 and my sister at 6, when I came in she had 2 clients she was still working on and had me wait for 30 mins. When she finally called me in I showed her the image of what I roughly wanted done and she obliged. We started with a simple cut and got into the bleach. My sister came later and also got a cut and bleach as well. We both had to have 2 bleached sessions because we both wanted to go pretty light (I wanted Silver and my sister wanted Blonde) Things got hairy when it was roughly 10 PM and it was time for both of us to get toned, not only did our hair come out completely uneven, she made us both "silver". I pointed out that my sister's hair looked more silver than blonde, Lilly gave me a WTF look. When my sister told her she wanted to be blonde, Lilly said while laughing "first you want to go silver, now you want to go blonde?" She also had to touch up our bases which became way too light because she put the toner all over both of our heads. Lilly also cut my sister's bangs incorrectly and it didn't look like the image she showed us. And our hair looked almost exactly the same even after all the "fixing" she did. We both finally left fairly unhappy at 1:30 AM The. Next. Day. I've already preordered hair dye to be picked up when the store opens to fix our hair. If you want a basic cut, go to Lilly. A great idea and a beautiful execution. It is a hairstyling marketplace that is built as a big indoor area with many separated small shops, each belongs to a different hairstylist. All stores have a door that opens to the main corridor which loops around the whole place. You can come in a anytime walk around look at the shops and chose your hairstylist. All they need to do is add more shops for nails, waxing, cosmetics, and makeup, and you are sure to walk out of here well groomed. Oh yes, and add a moving coffee cart it will be the bomb. read more

Lora's Hair Studio at Sola issued a living socials deal for a Brazilian blowout and haircut for $132. Finding her by phone or text was the pits. Major phone tag. First she wouldnt do a blowout on my teen so I decided to do it myself. Next she cancelled our first appointment when she sprained her ankle. Then she cancelled our 2nd appt because of dental problems. Meanwhile my voucher expired but she said not to worry. When I finally went in she said my blowout would be an extra $150. On the phone I told her how long my hair was- just above my bra strap. Even if I wanted to pay the extra $150 and invest more overall than I could get the service for elsewhere ($200$) she didnt have enough of Brazilian Blowout product in stock anyway! I asked if I could apply the $132 I paid toward other services. She said no. Wow! Great experience. Hopefully, Living Socials gives me a refund. She shouldn't be issuing these coupons if she doesn't want to serve the average person. Living Socials gives her $65 for the $132 sale. She is just trying to get full price by upcharging everyone.
