She has me leaving the salon feeling like I need to find somewhere to go just so people can see my hair! I LOVE that walk-ins are welcome because sometimes my hair decides it needs attention RIGHT NOW. The prices are also very reasonable, especially for the quality and care you get. You get great service without feeling like you need to take out a second mortgage! She makes you feel comfortable, welcomed, and like you've been coming there forever. **DRY, THICK COARSE HAIR WITH SOME FRIZZ/TEXTURE** Came here on February 2026 looking for a trim since I had many split ends at the bottom of my hair from bleach and heat styling. I was looking for a budget-friendly place for my hair type since many shops charge $120+ for a haircut, and I'm a college student. What drew me to MC Salon was the google reviews about Wendy specializing in layered haircuts and used scissors to cut hair. I have previous trauma from a terrible cut where a person cut my hair dry with a razor... I waited for some time to post this review to cool off because I did not want to write an angry review. I first went to Wendy on 2/19, telling her that I wanted a trim, face framing layers, and physically showed her how much I wanted her to cut off. She was gentle and thorough with the hair wash and I liked the blow out style of my hair. I didn't expect her to cut my hair that short, but I was ok with short hair and my hair looked nice styled. She told me she ended up cutting more than usual since my hair was super thick (I wished she asked before). Anyways, I washed my hair 3 days later and noticed unevenness around the face framing layers. So I called if I can come back for a fix. I still liked my hair at this point, just needed a minor fix. There was one thing I did not like about the first visit is that Wendy kept commenting how dry my hair was and told me I should use hair masks. I told her at the beginning of the appointment that I washed my hair at my boyfriend's place and didn't have access to my hair products-- that's why it was dry. Even though I told her that, she still made comments on the dryness throughout the process. I ignored the comments since Wendy was nice and we had a pleasant conversation throughout. Going back for a 2nd cut is where things went wrong. When I showed Wendy pictures of the unevenness, she said it was because my hair was parted differently. I guess my natural middle part is off centered, so when she cut my hair, she split in the middle evenly. I'm not sure if that's the true reason, but it sounds plausible. It's just strange because I had this parting for 6 years and never experienced this unevenness for face framing. Wendy went to fix my hair following my natural part and also fixed other parts of my hair to be even. She also offered to style it, which I thought was nice. She only lightly styled it and when I saw my hair I thought it was ok looking, but didn't say anything because I didn't want her to cut more hair. When I got into my car to get a closer look, thats when I noticed how much hair she cut, how choppy, & unblended it was.... Clearly it was not face framing layers and she made my bangs SUPER thick. This is when I started to relive my hair trauma and became emotional. I instantly called off work to go somewhere else to fix my hair because I hated my hair so much. The person couldn't do much since my hair was so short and she took pictures of my hair to show it was still uneven. She tried to make it as blended as possible. This experience damaged my self esteem to the point where I had to style my hair every single day or else it would look choppy. Now I have lot of hair damage again. Now that my hair is a bit longer, I no longer style my hair everyday. I just wished Wendy took more accountability instead of blaming it on my natural hair parting. I still don't understand why she cut so much hair the 2nd time. The pictures explain my situation and I will not come back. The cut was $65 and I tipped $10, so I spent $75 on this hair. I think if you have natural pin straight hair or thinner hair, MC Salon may be for you. But for super thick, coarse that is dry with some texture, MC Salon is not for you. I regret my decision and wished I splurged on a higher end salon. I'm only giving this place 2 stars, which is very generous, because of the pleasant experience I had on my first visit. Please note that I did not ask for a refund because I think place still deserves business, just not from me. read more

Wendy T did a great job on cutting my wavy hair. She cut my hair wet and then blew dried it and finished it off. She shaped my hair to give it volume. I let her do whatever to my hair with limit on length. It turned out better than I thought it would. The salon is small and cute. I've never noticed it before. It was quite busy. I needed a last minute hair cut and searched the area for salons that would take walk ins. I called ahead just to make sure that they had time to take me and they were very welcoming. This salon seems to get a lot of walk ins so I was glad I called ahead to make sure they knew I would be coming in. The shop is a bit small and when I arrived it was just Wendy and another hairstylist working at the time. The vibe was great and they seemed really friendly with the customers. Wendy took care of me and gave me the perfect haircut that I needed. I showed her my reference pictures and she adjusted it to match me better. She explained to me which type of layers would look best for my length and showed me how much of a trim I needed. She was really kind and gave me a lot of advice on how to better care for my hair. At the end she gave me a blowdry and it looked great! I was honestly in desperate need of a haircut and was willing to go anywhere that would take me last minute. As I arrived I was greeted by Wendy. It wasn't a long wait until a chair was available. They had some chill EDM type of music playing which was nice. I love getting my haircut and perm here. Ask for Cindy she's the best, she brings out the best in my hair. I have thick asian hair so it's hard to blend my hair properly, but Cindy blends it perfectly. She also perms my hair, which usually last 2-3 months before I met her, but now since she uses a different perm technique my perm actually lasted for 5 months! While you're there you should also ask for Wendy. She's the master of brows. And ask for the scalp treatment massage...you'll thank me later. read more

The stylists here are Kim and Kimmy, two friendly ladies who are surprisingly booked most days so either call ahead or expect to wait. There are a few other stylists -- a man and another woman -- who are here occasionally too, but Kim (the lady in my picture) holds the place down. Actually, after coming in 4 times, I am still unsure who is who (I believe Kim is on the right and Kimmy is on the left, but don't quote me...) They're both great. My fiance usually goes to one and I go to the other, and we get great cuts and friendly service every time. Pun unintended. ~$11 for a men's cut, specifically to your taste and according to reference images if you choose to show them. Quick and painless, and stylish! They even considered his abnormally round head shape to give him an optimal haircut. :) ~$20 for a women's cut. Kim (?) gave me a killer assymetrical A-line haircut that I LOVED and got so many compliments on. She's efficient and clean, tidies up all the loose/uneven ends. We usually just walk in and wait 10-15 minutes for their existing clients to finish up. Affordable, fast, and good! A winning combo. read more

Very poor customer service. I have been a customer for 7 years but when I went today. They were sitting around. I said hair cut for my 12 years old.
