This place is extremely unprofessional. I had clearly requested for Manisha's time for my haircut but at the last minute Sharmila ended up taking my appointment. On top of this, Sharmila did a terrible job at cutting my hair. Total waste of money. The hair was cut unevenly. When I asked her to give me a refund she said no upfront. She didn't even blow dry and set my hair correctly after the haircut. Overall the haircut was very poorly done. It appears as if both the ladies cannot understand English and it's very hard to communicate with them. I am extremely disappointed with the time and money I spent at this place. Giving a low review as I realize how much Sharmila took off my brows. I asked her to just do a clean up and she decides to take off so much of my brows that you can clearly see the light area of my face is where a lot of brow hair used to be. This salon gave both my girls great haircuts. I have 8yr and 9yr old girls. One with long hair and one with medium. We booked an appt with Le Hong and she was great. She is shy and don't chit-chat a lot, but she gave the girls a great cut. She is, however, a little slow at her work, since she is so precise. The shop has little DVD players in front of the kids and they can pick a movie from the shelf and are entertained while getting their haircut. It was $18 each for the girls. I have been going to this salon for about 5 years. I also get my hair cut about 3 times a year. Yeah the outside doesn't look like anything special, but once you walk in it's very cute! It's themed & there is a huge movie screen for the kiddies. It's definitely not a place where they pamper you. But they def get the job done. I ALWAYS make a appt. with Le. She is my absolute favorite. She's really quiet & kind (if you like those really talkative hair dressers, she...is the opposite.) She speaks chinese, english, & vietnamese I believe. She excels in asian hair & really listens to what you want. I usually take a picture in & she can imitate it extremely well. But now a days, I walk in, tell her to do whatever she wants to do with my hair & I always walk out happy. I have weird trust issues with my hair, but when she's the one cutting it, I have no problem with leaving it all up to her. (: Note: She specializes in the asian style of layering, so if you don't want that make sure you specify that she doesn't thin out your hair too much! (: A typical cut includes a head wash & she prices on length. When i went to her, I had short hair, but she helped me transition into growing it out nice & long. Nice haircut as I have really long hair and hadn't cut my hair since October 2019... felt lighter. She also colored my hair and was pretty quick and communicated what she was doing. The price was really affordable and she encouraged to come back to try more colors even sharing what colors she would like to see me try. That was very cool of her and she really enjoys a good conversation. I think she likes to make women feel like a princess if she can and she will cut men's hair too if she is given a reference photo. She inquired about where I had got my hair cut and colored before and definitely showed interest to not lose me to other salons. I wish her luck in finding more hair stylists and artists in the South Bay who will help her business grow. I was a little bit confused as to the hours but I think if you ask nicely, she will come to the salon any time between 8:30am and 8:30pm. I went in on a weekday (drop in) to inquire and then came a few hours later for my color and cut when my schedule was free. Three stars for being fairly kid friendly. They had DVD players, and gave my kids great cuts. Just three stars as the stylists were not particularly warm and fuzzy, nor patient with my figitey four year old. We will be back though - bottom line, it's about the haircut. My boy has just got a hair cut with lines on the side. Usually it is ok, but this time they shaved a huge rectangle shape on the side. It was shocking to see it. It is obviously a big mistake, but no efforts to fix it. They charged us $23 for this. We will take our business elsewhere. read more
