Today was my first time there and it was absolutely fantastic! Mostly because Amanda was who I had my appointment with. She was very talented, fast, efficient, friendly, and pain-free!! I will most definitely be going back. read more

Needed a last minute eyebrow wax for an event and have been on the look out for a go-to spot after a couple of negative experiences at other South Bay spots. Luckily, I was able to get a same day appointment time with a waxer, Anna, who provided amazing service and brows! Quick, painless, and amazing results! I even got complemented on my eyebrows at my event, which was the first time I experienced that. The price point is a little higher than other spots I've tried. I don't get my eyebrows done that often, mostly for events and shaping a couple times a year. So for the service and results it was totally worth it and I will be back! read more

Mariah - so far has been great. Would go to her anywhere she lands. This place is OKAY. Parking is not easy. And I'm unsure about the overall business model. Either way. I found Mariah, so I will stick with her. read more

I have been going here for several years for waxing services and I won't go anywhere else. The studio is very clean and cutely decorated. I have had different waxers, and all have been great especially Wendy who is kind and accommodating. The waxing services are always thorough, but quick and they provide small things that make a difference such as numbing spray. Parking can sometimes be tough since it is in the heart of downtown Los Gatos, so leave yourself a few extra mins for that. If you've been debating getting waxed, I highly recommend this spot! read more

Easy to book, efficient and nice staff. Clean and nicely decorated and well located. Recommend!

I've been coming to Bare Wax for almost two years for maintenance and they are absolutely stellar. The vibe is so relaxing and fun at the same time, and you just feel a calm when you walk in. Playlist is always on, and it's always such a mood booster! Annabel has been my person, and she is magnificent! She's kind, energetic and always so efficient. Booking an appointment is easy, and they are consistent with reminders prior to your scheduled date. After having terrible experiences with other waxing places, I have finally found my go-to. read more

I went here after moving and having regular waxes for 3 years and I needed to find a new waxing specialist. I booked with Annabel and she definitely met my high expectations and I will be going back. They have a super comfy waxing bed, she was very professional, they have a numbing spray you can use (that actually works) and the wax itself was the right temperature and soft. Super cute place overall! :) read more

Although this place is in downtown Los Gatos, there is a small parking lot in the back and it's off a side street so easier to find parking at. This place is super clean and beautiful and relaxing! The owner did my brows and she did an amazing job... my brows were in need of a lot of work.... but she did it fast and efficiently. She also asked how I wanted my brows, and I said I don't know... lol... because I really don't! As long as they're shaped and clean, that's all I wanted. She is also super sweet! Definitely would come back to get my brows or anything else waxed. :) Also, their online booking system is SO easy to use! Book online anytime and cancel within 6 hours without being charged. read more

Top notch boutique wax lounge. Wendy and the team are warm, welcoming and very skilled. They source high quality wax and you really notice the difference. The rooms are modern and comfortable. read more

Really the cutest place. Cozy, clean, and well maintained. The owner is genuine and absolutely a professional. I had waxing done in sensitive areas, and barely felt a thing. She takes her time, offers natural products (evening numbing spray!), and cares about her work. The room is small, which I prefer so I don't feel so vulnerable. The waxing bed is super plush and heated and the lights aren't glaringly bright as to burn your eyes. I will be leaving my current place to come here instead. New favorite for sure! read more

Just had my first waxing here at Bare Wax Lounge with Annabel. I felt very comfortable and well cared for. Annabel was very professional and skilled. The studio was comfortable and clean. Great playlist. Already booked my return appointment. read more

The only wax studio I've found that does a great job every time. I've been getting waxed there every four weeks for the past several years. Wendy and Annabelle are both experienced, friendly, and easy to talk to. The vibe is boutique and wholistic small business. They sell great products for skin care and aromatherapy. read more

Bare Wax staff has always been very nice and helpful. They are very professional and create a great experience. Highly recommend.

Today I brought my daughter in for her first eyebrow wax with Wendy. I was a little hesitant and my daughter was very nervous. Wendy put us both at ease from the moment we walked into her adorable salon in Los Gatos. She was so calm and patient while explaining the entire process. This is not a wax and go salon! She measured, waxed, trimmed and plucked until she had perfected the most precise eyebrow arch I have ever seen. Wendy is a true artist with a sense of compassion for her clients. Absolutely the BEST! read more

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2016 February 11, 2016 Bare Wax Lounge is located in Los Gatos, California right next door to Mr. Pickles Sandwich Shop. Parking is limited but there are 3 reserved spots with signs for BWL. I used to go to a spa in Santana Row for my waxing needs but I spend most of my time in Los Gatos so I did a simple Yelp search. Thanks to Yelp I found Bare Wax Lounge. The Los Gatos shop is the second location with their first shop being opened in the Willow Glen area of San Jose (on Brace Ave near La Villa Deli). I made a call to book my appointment and requested Wendy because all the reviews raved about her waxing abilities. I wasn't able to get Wendy for the appointment time needed so I booked with Alyssa. The inside of the Los Gatos shop is cozy, clean and elegant (my inner Charlotte York Goldenbatt definitely approved!). I checked in with the front desk reception and was offered champagne, wine or water. I opted for water - it was filtered, cold and refreshing. Alyssa my esthetician led me to the room where the wax service would take place. The room was spacious, clean and the ambiance was relaxing. On the waxing table was a towel, clean wipe and numbing spray. The service I had today was a Brazilian Wax (not for the faint of heart). This was my first time using the numbing spray and it worked well. Alyssa has a kind, professional and personable demeanor. Out of all the Brazilian waxes I've had over the years undoubtedly she did the best (not one hair left, she has great attention to detail). I used the Yelp checkin and my Brazilian wax cost $45. I booked a follow up wax which will cost $50 (the regular price is $60). If you book your next Brazilian at the end of your current appointment you get the $50 price. I tipped Alyssa 20% because she was awesome- making what can be an unpleasant experience quick and almost painless. I've also booked a future eyebrow and lip wax appointments with Alyssa as well. I'm really happy ((Thanks, Yelp!!!)) that I found Bare Wax Lounge in Los Gatos and Alyssa who is one of the best estheticians I've had to date. Bare Wax Lounge is a winner in my Yelp Notebook :) Noelle's Notes Located next to Mr Pickles 3 dedicated parking spots in back Best to park on the street Alyssa is AMAZING!!! read more

It was my first time. Wendy was very helpful, kind and understanding. She helped me boon the proper appointment, helped me feel comfortable, and we had a great conversation as well. I love this place. They have a new loyal customer:). read more

I don't know why I didn't know about this place sooner. They only do waxing. The products they use are fabulous and from Australia. You walk out clean and soft, unlike some places where the wax is stuck everywhere. They even have a holistic numbing spray you can spray on before you start - I love that. So thoughtful and original. This is a great place and I have been waxed everywhere. Highly recommend both Wendy and Annabelle. read more

Have been a few times and love them! Services I have gotten: Brow Tint - Brow Wax - Full Face Wax.

Awesome place- clean and welcoming! I see Mariah, and she's wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Easy online booking, friendly staff, and clean facilities!

Wendy gave me the most painless Brazilian I have ever experienced. Could not recommend her more highly!

Absolutely wonderful and super knowledgeable staff. I feel men can have trickier situations for some professionals and Wendy really knew how to address areas that I hadn't even considered. Let's just say It's a breath of fresh air every visit to Bare read more

Amber is amazing!!! I see her routinely for a Brazilian wax and am never disappointed. They use hard wax (the best kind!) for Brazilian, which is sometimes hard to find here in South Bay. The location is also super convenient and the salon is really cute and cozy. Everyone is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. Definitely come to Bare Wax LG and ask for Amber! read more

I got an underarm wax done by Cat. She was nice and welcoming. I explained that I can have sensitive skin and she did an excellent job explaining to me some products to use to help with the post wax aftercare and the benefits of waxing. She also did a thorough job, I was very happy with the results. Thank you! read more

I just had my second visit here and I'm OBSESSED. I first saw Kylie for an eyebrow waxing. I told her my previous waxer made them uneven and that I wanted more of an arch. Kylie did a great job of finding a happy medium for my brows. We were able to clean them up and start shaping them for what I want. Today I had my Brazilian wax with Wendy. I let her know that I had stopped getting waxes because I was getting many ingrown hairs and I wasn't getting the right information from my previous waxer on how to help them. She was very nice and informative and let me know the different kinds of breakouts and ingrown hairs and the best remedies for them. The whole process was really fast and it honestly was the best wax I've had. So far I'm really impressed! I'll definitely be returning to this location SAVINGS NOTE: - 10% off first service when you check in on Yelp - $10 off your services when you schedule in person read more

Excellent service! Cute, clean and reliable.

Wendy was great and made me feel super comfortable. Was my second Brazilian and was super nervous-- absolutely nothing to be scared of.

This was my first time coming to get waxed. I decided bare wax because of previous reviews and the location. The owner made my experience so easy and smooth. Apt was on time. We had great laughs and conversations. I really felt at home. Customer service is great. Wendy the owner is super kind and sweet. I will return here again in 4 weeks. Thank you Wendy and staff for your great communication skills read more

I've been trusting bare wax lounge with my brows for years. I drive 20 mins each way to here just to get my brows done. I never had anything to complain. However, I took my mom here for the 1st time on Sunday and something didn't sit right with me. I explained my mom didn't speak English so I wanted to be in the room with her. Anna and Mariah explained that due to Covid they try to limit number of people in a room so they each would do my and my mom's brows at the same time in different rooms. I said ok that is understandable. The lady who did mine, asked if my mom understood some English. I said yes. She then asked would my mom know to wait then if hers were finished before my brows. I said yes. But then it didn't make me feel good about that question. My mom doesn't speak English but of course she understands commonsense. What else would she be doing instead of waiting? We are Asian, not stupid clueless human beings. At the end, instead of making me feel pampered and pretty, she mentioned: ok I think this is all I could do. Check and let me know. Ouch my brows were that bad? Please just be a bit nicer. read more

I've been here twice now for Brazilians and had great experiences! I recently was waxed by Tara, she was friendly, accommodating, made me feel comfortable, and did a fantastic job! The prices are pretty standard and the best you'll get in the area. The lobby/lounges are clean n cute, very aesthetically pleasing if you're into that!!! Lots of great products to choose from if you're interested in buying some extra care at checkout. Thanks Tara! I'll be back at Bare read more

I tried Kylie out for the first time today and I love it! She did a brow/ lip wax and I couldn't be happier. She's very detail oriented and friendly. It made the whole experience nice! Definitely recommend her. Thank you Kylie! read more

I've been coming here for about eight months and though I've since moved about a half hour away, I'm still a loyal customer and come back for all my waxes. I've had Brazilians done by three different women, including the owner Wendy (the other two were Ariel and Brittany), and they are all consistent - they do a great job, are friendly, reassuring, and just super pleasant. It's nice that when my schedule changes and I have to see a new specialist, I don't feel thrown off by it - my experience has been that they are all fantastic. I was pretty nervous and felt awkward before getting my first Brazilian, but now know I had nothing to fear - the ladies who work here really do put your mind at ease, especially that first time around. Really glad I took the plunge and chose the right place based on other Yelp reviews. You can tell Wendy puts a lot of thought and care into her business - it shows in the salon's aesthetics, in her hiring and consistency of standards among her staff, and the products she uses. Prices are very fair, the salon is very clean, it's easy to make appointments and get reminders. Love this place. read more

I have been going to benefit for years but have been disapointed with their recent new hires. Tried this for the first time and loved it! Very detail oriented and reasonable price. Will be coming back. read more

Very cute and clean place. I have gotten my brazilian done here twice and have had good experiences each time. They use hard wax. For my last wax, my hair was pretty long and thick but it was a very comfortable experience and barely hurt. I would recommend this place too a friend. read more

The Bare wax lounge is elegant and beautiful I'm inspired by their decor. I've followed Wendy from the Willow Glen location because she has done amazing work on my skin. As an African women my skin can be really irritated with in grown hair bumps. Her technique combined with the natural products she uses have made ALL the difference! I have no hesitation getting waxed as I feared in the past and would hold out for ages because I dreaded the bumps. She's super fast, super cool, I love her positive vibe and the results are incredible! Go to the Bare Wax Lounge! read more

I just moved back to the area and I was looking for a place to go to get a wax. I found this place on Yelp and I am so happy that I went in and gave them a try. They were fantastic! I was able to make an appointment right through their website and it was super simple. I got an email right away confirming the appointment. When I got there that morning, I wasn't sure exactly where they were located in downtown Los Gatos, but I found them pretty easily once I got there. (They are right behind Mr. Pickles Sandwich shop) I walked in and I was their first appointment of the day. The girl sitting at the desk was super sweet and greeted me right as I walked in. The inside of the salon was super cute as well. It was decorated very classy and it felt very comfortable. It was also super cute with the staircase at the back, which reminded me of all the old homes in New Orleans where I used to live. The girl who did my wax Jayme was amazing! She was super sweet and easy to talk to. I booked my next appointment as I was leaving because I enjoyed it so much. It was very competitively priced, and since I was a first time client, I was able to use the check in offer for $50. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks. read more

Used to come to Bare Wax when there was no other reasonable place nearby that I liked for eyebrow waxing. Very over priced for the quality of their service- especially since I had to go home and fix my eyebrows myself or start smearing on the aloe vera because they don't know how to not make the wax boiling hot. If there were no other option for waxing and you want to put up with some bad attitudes from the girls that work there, you could consider coming here. ‍ read more
