Very disappointing experience. I called ahead and was quoted one price, but the final bill was significantly higher with no explanation provided at checkout. I accompanied a client to this appointment, and when I politely asked for clarification, the main guy handling the transaction was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. I was simply asking a straightforward question about the charges. Payment was still completed, and a tip was given at checkout, but that does not change the fact that asking a basic question was met with disrespect instead of a professional explanation. There is a clear difference between customer service and being spoken to in a condescending or hostile manner. Unfortunately, this interaction lacked basic professionalism and transparency regarding pricing. I hope this business improves how it communicates with and treats customers going forward. My concern was that when I asked about the difference between the quoted price and the final total, I was not provided with a clear breakdown of the charges. The explanation regarding credit card fees and other charges is being provided now in your response, not in a way that was clearly communicated during checkout. Today I got a beautiful mani-pedi with Paul. The salon was very clean, peaceful, welcoming. Nice location with free parking. I almost never drive over 17 for anything but the airport. This was worth the drive. I'm happy. Would love a longer/ stronger massage next trip, which I didn't specify on my first trip. I like this place. I went in for a gel pedicure & acrylic set. A lady was doing my acrylic set, it was very uneven & crooked. At this point the owner wasn't in the shop, he later came when she was starting on the French tip. He started paying close attention on my nails. He was the one who ended doing my French tip. But he noticed how uneven all my nails were. Had a talk with her & started to explain how she should do them next time. He tried as much as he could to fix my nails. People make mistakes, & that's okay. We are human. But I really like how he was so quick to fix as much as he could, & explained to the lady what she should do moving forward. I would def come to this shop again! I didn't feel uncomfortable whatsoever. The salon is clean, quiet and away from the Main Street. There is plenty of parking in a private lot. I got the jasmine coconut pedicure and a regular gel manicure. Everything was relaxing, smelled wonderful and I got a nice heated massage. Cuticle work was impeccable and the manicure and pedicure took less than an hour. Kayla nails is my favorite nail spa to go to! I have been coming here for over a year now and they absolutely kill it every time :) I will upload multiple photos of nails I've had done here! The owner, Paul, is so attentive and kind and is always giving out great deals. Once you arrive, you're always immediately greeted by everyone and once seated, you're served a hot tea with a hot shoulder pack around your neck. I always get gel builder and my nails have grown so much/so healthy. I bring all of my friends here and they have become regulars as well :) One time I even chipped a nail and they told me to come back and fixed it for free (even though it was 100% my fault). read more

I had a great experience at Kayla Nails. I appreciate that they are open 7 days/week and later on the weekdays. I was able to book online and they were very responsive and flexible. The salon itself is bright and clean. They have nice massage pedicure chairs and offer you water or tea to enjoy during your service. I got a standard pedicure with gel. Ann did a wonderful job with everything. Pricing is comparable to the other salons in town. $45 for standard pedi (which was excellent) $15 extra for gel $5 to remove existing gel Just need remember to bring cash for tips. While I was there a little girl from the dance studio next door came in and asked to use the restroom. The staff was so nice and welcomed her in. I would definitely return to this salon based on the great service, cleanliness and kindness of the staff. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in the South Bay! I discovered them recently and have gotten a gel manicure 4 times with them now. The salon is your basic nail salon, lots of colors to choose from and great service from nail techs. What keeps me coming back is how well they do the gel manicures! My nails last for SO LONG! I've been to many other salons in the South Bay and my gel will usually start peeling or chipping after 2-3 weeks. With this salon, it hasn't peeled or chipped until at least the 4 week mark (by then I want to get them done again anyways because they've grown out lol). My last manicure lasted nearly 2 months (no peeling and just 1 chip!). I got their dip manicure once as well, great quality. Will continue going here for my nails. Parking can be a little tricky if you go during the busy hours in downtown, so I usually try to make an appointment before 4pm on a weekday and it's fine. Bring cash for the tip :) read more

Went to Kayla Nails in Los Gatos, for a hard gel fill-in, about 3 weeks ago, after a botched nail job from another nail salon. First, the salon is super clean, bright and has great energy. Jenny was AMAZING. She immediately started on my nails and not only cleaned them up but we tried a new shape which I love. She took her time, carefully inspected my nails so they would be as perfect as possible, listened to my request for a particular color style, and found me a perfect match. We also had a very nice conversation. I also met the owner, Paul. He was so professional. He cares about the quality of the work and truly wants the customer to feel good about the service before you leave. He even has a 2 week correction policy if you don't like your nails. That's awesome. The prices are reasonable and consistent with the pricing online!! I have found my new nail salon and will be back soon for a pedicure and a another fill in!! read more

friendly environment. Previous visits were pretty good but then started falling short Booked Jenny but when i arrived, everyone had no idea who Jenny was (strange to me) and Lena did my gel manicure. The equipment she used was super harsh on my nails felt like getting run over by truck then she cut through my cuticle and bled out. Paint job was decent but she painted "outside" of nails for every single one and didn't use brush to clean up instead she filed them which was quite uncomfortable and messy. AMAZING! I feel like I found my new nail place. (It was my 2nd time here) I walked in and was greeted immediately. The vibes are calm and clean. Everything looked brand new. I was seated in my chair within 3 minutes. As soon as I sat down I was greeted again and offered a beverage. The hot tea I got was so good! I got seconds. Kelly did my toes and Lena did my hands. My nails were in horrible shape but they came out looking brand new. I got a regular pedicure and dip for $95. Lena even made a custom dip color for me. Durning the service they even asked for my name & asked about my weekend plans. I was also in and out in 1 hour. 11/10. Will definitely be back! What a hidden little gem. I stumbled upon Kayla's nails from yelp- decided to call and see if they can accommodate 3 pedicures, and Paul said sure! Come in. So we made our way over. The parking lot is a nice size, quiet on a Sunday afternoon. The salon is immaculate, clean and beautiful. Everything has a space, 12 spa chairs, and friendly staff. Coming to a nail salon with two young children is always challenging, but they were amazing! My girls ended up with pedicures and manicures and loved every second of being pampered. I have lived in Los Gatos for 13 years and there are A LOT of nail salons to choose from, so trust me when I say "JUST GO HERE". I'm a perfectionist and it has been super hard to find someone who gives as much attention to detail as Paul does. Jenny was also meticulous in making sure my nails were even and symmetrical, and Kim did a beautiful job on my toes. This is the first salon that has been able to make my artificial nails look truly natural and I love them!
