I just got a pedicure and manicure at Diamond Nail and Spa. The 2 ladies doing it were Dina and Amy. It was an unpleasant experience and a very sloppy job of both the pedicure and manicure. Nails were unevenly filed and not buffed evenly. In addition while applying the polish, one of the nails wound up getting smudged. She did not want to redo the polish on that nail and instead just applied another coat which did not improve the appearance. Avoid this salon. read more

I'm sad to say this, as I've had mostly excellent service here. But...I came in asking for a simple thing. Red sparkly toenail polish with white candy cane stripes on the big toes. Was told yes. Wasn't until after I was polished up that she said no one would do the white stripes for me because I didn't pay and get gel polish. (FYI you don't need gel to get a simple design, I've don't it many times) so I ended up having to pay...and tip for something I DID NOT WANT or ask for. I came in to remove my old acrylics plus a new acrylic set. I called for a last minute appointment and luckily I was able to get in without having to wait (they were busy too)! Ivy removed my old acrylics quickly & efficiently. She worked super fast on my new set. I get colored acrylic powder that way I don't have to worry about my gel chipping. It also saves some time during the appointment. I like a really sharp and crisp square and Ivy definitely delivered! I have been coming to Diamond Nails for over five years and have always had a good experience. Last time, after spending $100 on my nails and toes a bacterial infection from dirty tools began to form. It is at the point where I need to go to the doctor's. I've never had a problem like this before and am very disappointed for lack of accountability. I came in to get nails done what I wanted what I got basically we stayed over The lady didn't tell me she didn't know how to do the design and then when I kept saying maybe you just do another color she really didn't understand me so I just walked out with basically nails that I did not like. I was being extremely respectful I did not want to hurt anybody's feelings but at the same time it was very unfortunate that I had to go home with nails I wasn't too happy about. I paid over $110 for these nails and to top it off when I went back to my original nail tech for design when she took off the nail. My nail was turning green under. Came in for a mani and pedi. This is usually my favorite place to come to but today was terrible. While I was getting my gel pedicure done I had told the lady this one looks a little bumpy as I pointed to my big toe (I think she may have hit it with her glove) she acted as if she didn't hear me and then starts talking to the lady doing my hands. I can see her staring at it and instead of redoing that one nail she keeps painting over it possibly to "smooth it out". She didn't have a friendly demeanor, I almost felt like I was getting on her nerves for pointing it out. I'm normally a shy person and don't like to speak up so at this point I'm tense, annoyed and a bit uncomfortable. Once I got home to further inspect them I can literally see and feel the ridges. As for my nails I'd say they're decent. I had an ombré French set done. Not exactly what I had pictured. I asked for the white to stand out a bit more on top as I have had done in the past but she told me that's what blending looks like. I wasn't given the option of choosing my base color either so it looks a bit dull in my opinion and to top it off I cut a pretty good cut on the side of my nail. Towards the end I thought she would have cut and cleaned my cuticles instead they were oiled and I was absolutely over it at that point. We came in around 6pm which I thought was fine since online says they're open until 8. While we're there the sign went off early around 7ish and we ended up being the last ones. I don't know if they were doing a poor job just trying to get out of there but it's unacceptable especially since we were still in the window of operating hours. This was far from relaxing. I've been going to this nail salon for almost 7 years now. The nail spas are very clean, and the staff is very attentive to meet your needs. I've always been super happy with every mani/pedi I've received, and think the pricing is spot on. I usually spend $100 for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Another thing I love is the multitude of color selection and the ability to request for nail designs. As long as you have a photo of what you want, they can almost always do it and make it unique to you. Their pedicures are an absolute dream as this includes a 10 minute hot stone massage and paraffin wax treatment - this isn't extra treatments or cost extra money, it's all included with all pedicures which is very unique to other nail spas I've gone to. I want to start this review off by saying that this was my first and LAST time coming to this nail shop. If I could give 0 stars for the lack of people skills exemplified by the manager I would. I came Friday March 26th after a long shift to get a gel pedicure before my red eye flight the next morning. I needed a simple service since I was leaving for a week for an important event and to visit family across the states. I spent over 2 hours in the shop despite being seated right away. I have never had a gel pedicure take two plus hours.... But I figured they were just slow and taking their time with me. The nail tech did an excellent job for the most part, the massage was great, wax treatment included and the polish was not sloppy. She was friendly and told me she had been doing nails for 10+ years. I left content and happily tipped her $15 for her time and work. I went home, took a shower and my middle toe just came right off. I also noticed several cuts on my cuticles when showering. I was so upset, walking around with a bare toe and an event that required me to wear heels coming up. I called the next morning to request a refund and was told that I needed to come in to get it fixed and they would redo the services. I was already in Texas at this point and explained that I would not be able to since I was going to be gone for over a week. The woman on the phone told me I could not be refunded until the manager came in. I called several times throughout my trip and eventually was told by said manager that the refund could not be done over the phone. I kept calling. Finally the manager told me it had been done and it would reflect soon. It never reflected .... Fast forward to April 18th after weeks of being told my refund was taken care of I finally decided to pop into this shop and demand they refund my card in front of me... how unprofessional and inconvenient! The manager was not apologetic, she seemed bothered by me and didn't even refund me the full amount of $75. Instead she tells me I should have appealed the charge with my bank .... I kindly told her that wasn't necessary and requires a lot of time and paperwork. In my years of getting gel pedicures I have never had this happen before but mistakes happen. No, unfortunately not. I wanted to like this place because it is so close and convenient to my home. However, I came back for the second time this week and was let down by the mixed quality of service. Opted for the regular mani & pedi combo that totaled out to be $45. My pedicurist was great, but my manicurist was so careless. She'd often look away as she was doing my nails so she'd file my knuckles instead of nails or scrap my skin once or twice per minute. She also cut a few of my nail edges too deep so now 4 of my fingers hurt. My overall review of this place is that it is nice, clean, and convenient. However, the ladies are hit or miss. If you have a regular go-to-girl, then good for you. But if you walk in without requesting a specific mani/pedicurist like I did, then you'll face the chances of disappointment... like I was. read more

The pedicure is great for $30, but with this experience for my manicure removal I unfortunately will not be returning. The removal was done by the usual lady that mans the reception area and never smiles. She DID NOT file down my nails or the acrylic powder itself and used a fake tip to essentially pry off the gel even though I said many times that it was hurting. I am now left with dips on my nail bed and it is painful to the touch. I am hoping the pain doesn't get worse.. please beware of their removal process for future customers. Legitimately the worst mani pedi of my life. As a man I often find that nail salons do a half*** job on their male clientele. My toes still have old nail polish on them in spots that were missing in removal. My toenails are now discolored from whatever she uses on them. There are parts where the nail is halfway cut off. On my hands, my nails are scratched. I asked for a buff and had to point out that only half the nail was buffed. I have several bugs on my cuticles that bled.
