My last visit was very disappointing. I encountered rude and disrespectful behavior. I have been here a couple times before and although I had heard of others having negative experiences, I thought of giving them a try. I have always felt the lady at the counter being a little hostile and rude but since it did not affect me directly, I chose to ignore it. But this time, the girl doing my brows messed them up big time and had the audacity to keep lying to cover it up although I had 'before' pictures that said otherwise. I stopped doing my eye brow threading when the lady I went to was no longer at the Santa Clara location. It was months before I decided to give their Sunnyvale location a chance and since then Diana has done my eyebrows. It's been over a year of being a loyal customer of hers. Diana has done an exceptional job on my eyebrows. She shapes them they way the frame my face but will also take my input into consideration and after explaining what the eyebrow will look like if I make a change I can make an informed decision. My eyebrows are something I take care of a lot and don't just let anyone work with them because they are a big part of your face. I've also done threading on my whole face and my upper lip. Time and time again Diana has left them looking 100 percent. I've brought my sisters to her and they have traveled distances to get their brows done by her. Diana also cuts hair which I didn't know but will consider for the future. The inside is clean. Spacious. The place is on a busy plaza that houses a gym, home improvement store, cvs, and several places to eat. It's busy around lunch and dinner time. Plenty of parking even if busy. Book your appointment ahead of time on the Yelp app to secure your spot. Walk ins not guaranteed on the spot. Diana is my number one recommendation for eyebrow threading. read more

I usually love my experience here, but myself and my partner left frustrated. we both had an eyebrow threading appointment at 10:10 one with Diana and one with Ganga. we got here right at opening. two people were there, one in a chair and one looked to be a walk in. when we got there we found out Diana had car troubles and had to either do a walk in appointment or reschedule for my partner, understandable. Ganga serviced the person in the chair and was calling people to let them know what was happening with Diana's car and rescheduling. Ganga then took the walk in before me, and I wasn't seen until about 10:30/35 Since we had a different appointment at 11, my partner couldn't get her brows done. we booked the earliest appointment we could, and us both at 10:10, and would have left more than enough time for our appointment. I think management is responsible for how this was handled, not Ganga or Diana. it would have been nice for the salon to call or made aware of the appointment situation before our appointment time, and have someone else to cover Diana's appointments. It should not be all on one person to answer phones, reschedule appointments, take the walk ins, and their own scheduled appointments. it lead to delayed and slightly rushed service, frustration, and a lost sale from my partner read more

I love coming here because it's right next to the place where I get my drinking water. It's only about $12 for eyebrow threading, and they're quick and efficient. It can be a little painful if it's your first time, but I don't feel any pain at all. My eyebrows always look on point afterward. I have been coming to this place for years, but after today I will never return due to extreme unprofessionalism. I had an appointment at 10:15 and arrived 15 minutes early as advised on their website, only to receive a call at 10:05 stating that Diana was running an hour late due to traffic which is not a great excuse considering I also dealt with traffic and still arrived on time. I was understanding and agreed to come back an hour later. And when I did, the store was closed with no sign, no notice, and no explanation. I called the store multiple times with no answer and waited an additional 15 minutes while more customers continued to show up, equally confused and left outside. Eventually, the store called only a few customers, and I did not receive a call at all. I only learned they decided to close for the day by speaking with other customers, which is extremely unprofessional. Selective calling is strange and as a customer I felt very left out. I am a considerate person and understand emergencies happen, but if you run a business you must communicate with ALL OF YOUR customers, especially after promising a later appointment. They should have simply canceled during the initial call. This was a complete waste of time, highly unprofessional, and I do not recommend going here unless you want to waste your time, gas, and money. read more

It always feels like a risk trying a new threading place, because even if your regular place may have some inconsistency, at least it's familiar. So glad I took the leap and tried Aarna. My eyebrows were getting quite wild and untamed, so I last minute scheduled an online appointment for about 1 hour later on a Saturday afternoon. The online system has you wait for the salon to confirm your appointment. I called and they were able to accommodate me a little bit earlier than the scheduled time, which I really appreciated. The salon is located in a large shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking. I was in and out of the salon in 15 minutes, but the speed did not mean they skimped on quality. Kanta took excellent care of me. I found her threading to be much gentler than past experiences at other salons, and I appreciated how she asked me if there was anything to adjust after letting me look in the mirror and her attention to detail in making sure both brows looked even and sleek. Completely worth the $12 price (in April 2024). Both I and my brows are Aarna's newest fans. read more

Just went for my first time. The service was good but if you don't have an appointment expect a 30 minute wait minimum. I was a walk in and they had me book an appointment while there. This is my first visit and I can already tell that this place is unlike any other threading salon. After Mandy sat me down, she analyzed my face and told me exactly what she wants to do (sharpen the point on my right eyebrow, etc.) It took her 10 minutes and I felt basically no pain (im used to getting my brows threaded) and she gave me aloe vera. This place is different because she not only shaped, but also ALIGNED my eyebrows. She made me feel so beautiful and my eyebrows have never looked this nice before. FINALLY, my eyebrows are the way I always wanted it to be. My first visit was perfect, no regrets. AND the price ($12) is awesome for the value I got today. Best hair removal place. This is the greatest place to go for hair removal in the area. Believe me I have tried many of them. They do threading in your face. So no burning or reaction to wax after treatment. It is safe, natural and effective. For bikini they use hard wax. This is so much better than the soft wax or strip method that I have had before. An order of magnitude less pain and clean up is so much better. No sticky bits left behind. I am sold - if you have not had hard wax before definitely try it. You will happy you did. read more

Yay new Aarna Threading Salon location~! This one is on my way home from work so I stopped by a few days ago. It's located in a shopping plaza, near the Sunnyvale Orchard Supply Hardware store, so there is plenty of parking. This location only has one lady working here, so if you don't book ahead of time you might end up waiting a little. I only had to wait like 10minutes for the person before me to be done so it's not bad at all. I will recommend making an appointment since that probably helps avoid overflow for the one girl working here and I can also see this place getting quite busy because... it's (1) located near a whole lot of residential housings and (2) located near a high school (i.e. lots of high school girls or mother of high school girls doing brows in between school drop off/stops). I believe the name of the girl working here is Sushila(?), but anyways she did a wonderful job with my eyebrows. It did hurt a little more than I'm used to, but I also haven't had my brows done in... forever ^^" I asked for one extra hair to be removed and she had no attitude about it. There also is a nail salon here. I may try them out sometime in the future - can't tell if those ladies are also part of the Aarna Salon... but anyways. During prom/dance season this place may get real busy... Anyways, I will be back :) read more
